They are always having pop ups celebrating small businesses, or small events that are curated to feature interesting topics and showcase different local merchants. It's how I discovered Chi Chi's bakeshop - fantastic baked goods - a cool thrift shop, and also an awesome film photo booth vendor. I will dream of the tequenos regularly, in addition to their other grab and go snacks. The coffee they use is from a local roaster, Perla Coffee, and quite delicious. The best tip I could give, besides visiting them and enjoying a killer cup of coffee, is to follow them on Instagram. That's where they post their events, pop-ups, and seasonal / limited time menu items. Parking is easy - you can park in the funeral home across the street no problem. This spot is also women-owned, making it a perfect place to add to your rotation to celebrate Women's History Month and support women-owned businesses. This location also houses Ocho Placas Tattoo shop, a gallery, and film lab. The concept is awesome, and I can't wait to visit again.

‍ Post-Golf Brunch at Country Club Diner - Le Parc Café…read more 2420 NW 7th St, Miami, FL 33125 After a refreshing morning walk around the Granada Golf Course, our CRE team ducked into Le Parc Café, a hidden gem just outside Coral Gables that turned out to be the perfect Friday brunch meeting spot. We grabbed a table inside across from the counter -- the space was cool, cozy, and flooded with natural light, a nice contrast to the Miami heat outside. Great energy for casual strategy talk. Order Highlight: I went for the 4-egg omelet loaded with crispy bacon and cheddar cheese, served with a warm buttery croissant on the side. (See pic ). It was comfort food done right -- fluffy eggs, sharp cheddar melt, and real-deal bacon, not that paper-thin stuff. Service was friendly and quick. Coffee refills came without asking. Staff were chill but attentive, which made it easy to talk business without interruptions. Overall, this spot strikes the perfect balance for a laid-back, productive CRE catch-up -- no loud crowds, no fuss, just solid food and clean ambiance. Bonus points for easy parking and a menu that works whether you're here for a breakfast deal huddle or a solo laptop session. Already planning to make this a recurring Friday tradition.

I was told that when you're in Florida ESPECIALLY Miami you HAVE to get Cuban food. And wow... now…read moreI understand why. As we were driving in, the place already looked beautiful. We came in the evening and immediately, as we walked up, there was music, people laughing, talking, smiling... the energy was incredible. I also loved that there was a bar off to the side while waiting. We ordered a few mojitos and sat outside at the tables and benches, just enjoying the atmosphere. When our name was finally called and we walked inside, I genuinely felt like I was stepping into history. The atmosphere here is unmatched. The music, the aromas, the people. God, I loved it here and I hadn't even tried the food yet. We ordered the braised oxtail (which came with plantains and rice), salmon glazed in guava BBQ sauce, ceviche tropical, assorted empanadas, and a Cuban sandwich. Everything was phenomenal. The sauce paired with the empanadas perfectly. The guava BBQ glaze on the salmon was absolute perfection. It was the perfect combo of sweet, smoky, and flavorful. The ceviche had the perfect acidity and tasted so fresh and refreshing. This is one of the most famous Cuban restaurants in Miami. It completely lives up to the reputation. Highly recommended

DIRT AND MUD IN THE SALAD!!! WATCH OUT…read more We ordered the salad with mango and pecans. They do not wash there lettuce. There was literally dirt/mud at the bottom and I took my first bite and it felt like biting into sand. Upon spitting the food out onto my plate it was black sludge. Literally my tongue and teeth were black. The waiter came by and grabbed the plate when I was in the bathroom. I spent about 10 minutes trying to get that BLACK SLUDGE out of my mouth. When I was spitting out the dirt/mud wife noticed the bus boys laughing at me and there was not a manger in sight. When I asked for a manager he did not even respond. No apology or anything just a look of confusion. Worst experience in a restaurant in my life and I love to eat and have been to many types of restaurant big and small. Cheap and expensive and this one takes the cake. We were so bummed as I see thousands of great reviews. But if there was a zero I would have given zero stars the way they handled the situation. If you eat there in the future make sure to check for DIRT/MUD.

Put me in the "sees Chef once, must try a Cubano" camp…read more We had two days to spend in Miami and we wanted to make sure we would get at least one breakfast here. Appears like a large building from the outside but is actually a small quaint space that is clean and well kept. Service was awesome and we felt welcome even though it was quite clear we were tourists traveling in. I imagine this place runs in to out of towners a lot but they treated us kindly and, if we lived here, we would definitely put this spot on rotation. Our sandwiches were amazing. My partner got the one with plantains in it and that one definitely stole the show. I liked my tinta y cafe sandwich, but her's was a star. The cafecito and lattes were on point too and a truly great breakfast meal. Pair that with the rain pouring down outside it made for a truly memorable experience and quick bite.

A charming little gem in Coral Gables that absolutely deserves a visit, with a few caveats…read more The interior is cozy and full of character, decorated in a nostalgic '80s style with a lovely bar area that makes you want to stay a while. It's small, though, so be prepared to put your name on a waitlist if you're hoping to sit inside. There's also an outdoor seating option where you can order through their cute little walk-up window "la ventanita," as they call it. On a cloudy day like ours, the weather wasn't an issue, but unfortunately the outdoor area shows some wear: the plants, and the tables all need some attention. Worth noting, one section sits close to the restaurant's large trash bins, and the smell does reach the tables, which is a shame. Now, the good stuff , and there's plenty of it. The staff is wonderful: young, enthusiastic, genuinely warm and professional. The passion they have for what they do comes through immediately. The passion fruit juice (jugo de parchita) was absolutely delicious naturally unsweetened, which for me is exactly right. And the sandwich? That's what brought me here in the first place, and it did not disappoint. It was outstanding, the kind of thing you find yourself thinking about long after you've left. 100% recommended. Here's hoping they give that outdoor space some love soon!
