I've always loved La Veracruzana in Northampton, and I love it even more now that it exists in my hometown! This is a brand new location on Union Street in Easthampton. The food is great as always, very consistent to the quality I've been used to at their other locations. My wife ordered the delicious chicken tamales, and I got a beef burrito and a pint of Modelo from the bar, and we were both very happy with our selections. The interior is very festive, fun and comfortable, with a good mix of modern touches combined with more traditional Mexican decor. The staff is was attentive, and the owners are a delightful and friendly couple. I feel right at home here, and I know I'll be here on a regular basis in the future. Two thumbs way up! read more

My go to place for Mexican food in town. I usually order takeout and wait times are often lengthy because they're so busy, but that doesn't bother me and I just order a little longer in advance to make up for it. Drinks are great and margaritas reasonably priced. The have amazing tortillaless burritos and tacos. Plenty of food. Take home burritos are consistent with eating in, no shrinkage, which is important when you can't stay and eat. One star removed as their grilled chicken can be dry at times and you have to buy pico and sore cream when most places serve with a burrito. read more

I've never had a bad meal here. It's also much better than the one downtown Northampton. The staff is also very friendly.

Really good food. Just kind of pricey, but that's only because I live in Tucson half the year and pay $2/taco out there. Very authentic.

Ate at this location for the first time last night, really enjoyed my vegetarian zucchini Calabacitas very fresh and the small tortillas were delicious my husband had the shredded chicken tacos very large portions very fresh but he said the chicken could've used a little seasoning. read more

We tried the new Mexican restaurant in Easthampton last night and the food was fantastic! The owners introduced themselves and were very friendly. The service was excellent and the price was reasonable for what we ordered. The margaritas were authentic! Yumm! We will definitely be back again soon. This place had a cool atmosphere and cafeteria style menu/service. However the food was just ok. As it had some authentic components it was not a place I would ever go back to for Mexican. If your looking for just ok mexican food where you have to pay for each extra item/side this is your place. It's a spot for when your in a pinch, dnt feel like straying to far away from home or need a quick bite. The Guacamole was absolutely not even close texture wise or flavor. Very liquidy and chunks of avo tasted like rubber or fake. Very unhappy with that. Salsa bar was cool tho! Bar was fully stocked and had tons of options as well. read more

Although the restaurant has only been open a few weeks, I've been there several times. These people know how to do it right. Everything I've tried has been excellent -- the nachos, refried beans, the shredded beef Mexican quesadillas (there is a special name for them, but they are made with corn tortillas), and their salad with the gazpacho dressing. There is no reason to cook with them being in town. The people working there are excellent and really on the ball. They are constantly tidying up at the free salsa bar. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing and there is a beautiful looking bar to sit at if that is your pleasure. You could go there alone, on a date, with friends or family, including children and it would all be good. read more

I love La Veracruzana, all of them. I agree with other reviewers who said that this one is easier when you have larger groups because there are many areas with larger tables, as well as more space in general. This branch is also better for groups because they bring you the food instead of calling your name and having you pick it up. Part of the "they bring it to you" system involves the positive attribute of them cooking everyone's food so that it's all is ready at the same time, making for a better dining experience. Even at the other branches, when it's ready at a variety of times, they are all great. There is no bad version of La Veracruzana. read more

This location has a corporate chipotle-meets-sports-bar vibe, not the cozy hole-in-the-wall energy of the Noho and Amherst branches. The food was less enjoyable than the other Veracruzanas - the cheese in my burrito was unmelted and the beans were cold, which really enhanced their burnt flavor. Interestingly, the refried beans in my partner's meal ALSO tasted burnt - I'm thinking they may have burned the *bottom* of a pot of refried beans and then scraped the unburned-but-burnt-tasting beans off the top and served them to us. Their enchiladas themselves were good. However, I'm really struggling with the burnt beans - I worked in professional kitchens for years, and that is a massively unprofessional move. I'm sorry, but if you burn the beans for a customer's $12 enchilada, PLEASE MAYBE DON'T SERVE THEM AND JUST COOK SOME NEW ONES. THEY'RE BEANS, NOT TINY HUNKS OF GOLD, AND YOU PRICE YOUR FOOD UP EXORBITANTLY. DON'T BE A BEAN MISER. Service was pleasant, friendly, and prompt. read more
