I arrived and immediately seated myself at the bar. I was greeted and immediately ordered. The staff here and pleasant and attentive. The restaurant is clean. I dine here for dinner solo. The beef chimichangas are delicious. I like that I had the option of the type of beef I preferred. I went with ground beef. The chorizo dip is super spicy but good and flavorful. I recommend La Victoria of Cary and I look forward to returning.
When we arrived, we were immediately seated by really friendly staff member. The waiter came and gave us her waters and our menus and gave us some time to look over the menu. The set up is really nice and we had a backdrop of the large mural in the back. I asked him what were the nonalcoholic drinks and he gave me a list of fountain drinks plus the option of a daiquiri. They had mango, strawberry, and lime, and I asked him to mix all of them. It was a great treat and did not disappoint. For my entrée, I had the bowl with the trio which was steak, chicken, and shrimp. It was magnificent! The waiter was pretty accommodating with my food, intolerances and educating me on the different options that I had. Overall, it was a pretty good experience.
I came here for lunch on a weekday and was once again impressed with the atmosphere, service and food. Max took excellent care of me from seating me to getting me a box for my leftovers! He was helpful, kind and friendly. Truly an excellent customer service example. He should train others ! I once again had the chicken chimichanga and loved it. Came out quickly and hot. Beautiful presentation as well. Plenty of parking and outdoor seating available as well. I plan to bring two different groups here . I am sure they will all enjoy this experience !
We usually stick to Mi Cancun restaurants when we're in Morrisville or Cary. We've essentially been to all of them (over seven years now). This weekend we really just wanted to try something different. You know, see what else is out there. We found and ended up at La Victoria in the Renaissance Park Place area of Cary. First impressions? Very visually appealing place. Inviting, well decorated, even with the AC apparently out of commission. A few fans were running to keep the air moving. The servers were kind, present, though the attentiveness varied from table to table. We ordered tacos and an enchilada. Really good flavors with both, though the portions were smaller than expected (and what we're used to). We had a margarita and a beer alongside the meal, both were good. La Victoria is in its own rhythm. Glad we veered off our usually path for one night to check it out and try it.
We had a great first time experience at this restaurant! We stopped in for an early Saturday dinner and sat outside on the front patio. My husband ordered the elote (corn on the cob) and the carne asada fries. I ordered the fajitas (see picture). Everything was delicious, including the chips and salsa. I'm picky about my restaurant chips and salsa, and these were stellar. I like a smooth salsa. The service was speedy and friendly. We will be back!
Back in NC again and had to hit up La Victoria. I always love their expansive menu for both food and drinks. While the food can be slightly pricier, it's worth it. The ingredients are always delicious and portions are generous. The drinks are the same way with ample strength and flair. I love that the space has patio seating as well as clean and open indoor seating. The bar is well stocked and staff are attentive.
La Victoria is absolutely gorgeous inside -- such a beautiful atmosphere to enjoy a meal. The chips and salsa are always a hit, though the portion of salsa was surprisingly small (we actually needed a refill before even finishing the first basket of chips). I ordered the trio bowl and while it was good, it didn't quite feel like a standout dinner option -- I think it would shine more as a lighter lunch. On the upside, the drink was both delicious and so much fun, especially with the glowing light that made it feel extra special. Overall, a lovely spot with a great vibe and definitely worth visiting again!
This was my first time at La Victoria. I had an early dinner with a friend of mine and we couldn't have picked a better restaurant. When you first walk in your greeted with an amazing ambiance and bohemian aesthetics. I had a dinner reservation so we were seated quickly. It was pretty busy for a Friday. I ordered the birria quesadilla and an elote (corn on the cob). Both were extremely flavorful and the birria was cooked to perfection. It was so tender it just melted with every bite. My friend ordered the enchiladas chipotle which came with rice and pico salad, which was also delicious. The chicken was really good and was complimented well by the chipotle sauce. Absolutely no complaints. We will definitely be back again especially since it's right around the corner from work!
This was such a nice place to go to for a chill night out. The food was solid and the portions were great, I feel like there was just enough for me to feel stuffed and not have to bring anything back as leftovers. The service was good and the food came pretty fast. I feel like the items were priced appropriately. The overall interior of the place was really clean and had some nice decorations. First time here and was kind of skeptical about a Mexican restaurant here in North Carolina but tried it out anyways. First impression of the restaurant itself gave us Tulum vibes, the concrete walls, wood accents, and green foliage. It was very nice. Then we ordered their chicken roll, steak and shrimp fajitas, and their pastor torta. Would've gotten the carnitas but I asked if it was more on the wet side or dry side and they told me it was more dry, so I had to pass. Chicken roll was really good. Shredded chicken was moist and had a lot of flavor and it was a good starter. Steak and shrimp fajitas (wife's dish) said it was good. Flavors were all there, loved the char on the shrimp and steak and veggies were good. Pastor torta surprised me cause I did not think they would add pineapple and that's usually makes any pastor dish stand out. It was delicious but I would've not added beans but that's just my preference. Service was decent. The waiter was very nice but it got super busy and the attentiveness went down. I get it, it was at capacity and there was only 3 waiters covering the whole restaurant. Just thought if this is a regular type of night, might want to invest a little more on employees. But the 3 did great. Overall I had a pleasant time and the food was great. A must try, when it's not too busy. read more

So if you're looking for your typical big plate, 10-page menu with every combination you can imagine, with tacky and gaudy decor Mexican joint, go somewhere else. This ain't it. This is more what I would call "foofoo" Mexican food. The plating is more esthetically pleasing to the eye than your typical Mexican places, which they clearly focused more on when they should have focused on the flavors. We got the carne asada plate, which the meat came already precut into pieces - thanks, mom - and the carnitas plate. The carne asada plate came with what tasted like a piece of mozzarella cheese fried in butter. It was interesting. The meat lacked a marinade. Had to add salt. It was served with a bowl of cilantro and onions and another bowl of what I gather is avocado sauce. Not guac. The carnitas were pretty good though. That did come with a side of guac. Go figure. There was a side of maybe pickled onions?? Nothing else was anything to rave about. Beans and rice was okay. Not sure it is worth another trip. Rancho Grande may not be fancy, but now that's Mexican food! The decor was pleasant. Again, very different from what you see in your traditional Mexican places, which is a nice change. I'd say this is a nice place to take someone on a date night. It fits Cary and the Arboretum. $75 with tip for two for dinner. No apps. No dessert. One soda and one alcoholic drink. So not on the cheap side for Mexican food. When you got your bill at the end, I did like the ability to pull up a QR code with your camera and pay with your phone and be done without having to wait for them to come back and grab your CC and then bring it back and then sign and etc. That was quite convenient. read more
We came here on a Sunday evening and we were seated right away. The restaurant was very clean and organized with inviting decor. Staff was friendly and attentive. The food came out fresh and hot. Not the largest portion of fajitas I've had but definitely enough to satisfy my appetite. read more

probably an okay spot for "mexican" food! came here on the way to the hotel after flying into RDU. i had high hopes based off the reviews - but i felt that the food was really mediocre! i don't know the standard of mexican food here though. i ordered the birria quesadilla - which to be fair, isn't really anything authentic, but even so i felt like it was lacking. the broth that came with was bland and was so small! rice was dry as well. i will say the service was really good despite it being pretty inside. read more

3.5 star experience. Slow service but the food and drinks were good. I had the Smokey Teresa margarita- a mezcal marg w/ pineapple. It was so good and fresh. I also had the carne asada fries. The fries weren't cold but also not hot. They were okay. read more

Fun drinks, friendly service, food was ok..don't know that I'd rush back. Had chicken rolls as an app, best part of the meal. Husband had fish tacos, I had birra tacos - both ok, but nothing special. Drink menu is extensive with tons of unique drink combos! read more

I'm not a huge fan of Mexican food, to me the same menu at every Mexican restaurant annoys me, but La Victoria is different, they have some interesting menu items and everything I've ordered from here has been really good! They also have some amazing cocktails! I did have issues with service the first time coming here, it took forever to get the food, but the second time it was quick and it seems like they have their act together. Definitely recommended if you like Mexican food and want something better than the typical North Carolina Mexican restaurant. read more

First time to this Mexican restaurant and found it to be pretty good. I had the ACP Trio bowl with shrimp, beef and chicken. It also had rice, cheese dip, poblano peppers and onions. I found the flavors to be very good and the poblano peppers added nicely to the dish. There was a lot of cheese dip (queso), which made the dish heavier than I would have preferred. Still, the dish was good and the shrimp were excellent. At our table we also had the Cammarones al Chipotle (shrimp tacos), which were a little spicy and very good. The other dish at our table was the Veggie Bowl. It's veggies,so not much to say about it. We also had the Churros for dessert. They were good too. My ice tea was very good and refilled regularly. The service was very good, but I didn't feel that they knew the menu that well. read more

Came here on a Saturday night and sat outside since it was nice. I decided to get the pick 2 combo so i got a chicken burrito and Chile relleno , it also came with beans and rice. The raspberry margarita was on special so I got that and it was good. Like the way it was presented. Had me some churros for dessert and I like the way they presented that as well. I wish the the portion size was bigger for the pick two combo though. Overall the service was good a lot of the other workers checked on me as well so I can appreciate that. I will have to try this place out again in the future. read more

This was my first trip to NC and first Mexican restaurant that I ventured out to. It is a very cute restaurant. I am not a fan of chain restaurants and this place was great. The server was very attentive and took care of us every step of the way. I had the seafood burrito. It was good, but I feel it could have had a little more flavor. Did not stop me from eating the entire thing! I wish I had more time to visit and try a couple of other things from their menu. I will be back though and I feel this 4-star review will turn into a 5! read more

Didn't realise this restaurant was so close to our place! It is very unassuming from outside (there's outdoor seating with tables, chairs and umbrellas to save you from the blaring sun) The interiors of the place is soo beautiful, I love the light fixtures with the floating trees (the pic I clicked doesn't do justice to how pretty they look) Matthew our server was wonderful, we did go during lunch and got the beef quesabirra tacos (2 nos, regular is 3) served with a small cup of the broth and a bowl of rice and beans, we did want the lamb option but they were out of it. We also got the lunch portion of the choripollo (thinly sliced and grilled chicken breast topped with chorizo and cheese and a side of beans, rice and tortillas. My husband did get the La Victoria drink (a mix between a margarita and a mojito) he got his with tequila the option being gin! There were many fun options in drinks, and I have a feeling he got overwhelmed and chose a safe one, I would definitely try the pineapple jalapeño drink (next time maybe :p) The beef was melt in the mouth and super flavourful one of the best birria tacos I've eaten. The Choripollo was tooo cheesy for our liking, and felt a bit greasy but the taste was good! Almost forgot to mention their chips and salsa! Omg the most crunchiest and freshest chips we've eaten! Ever! Id go back just for that. Matthew did ask if we wanted the hot house made salsa, and we ofcourse said yes! And omg was it packing some heat we loved it (we were a bit surprised that it was charged though) The most expensive item from our meal was the drink, I think the food is well priced and they serve good portions. read more
The service and ambiance were very nice. The food was good but of the 10 people I was with none of the dishes were classified as great. Could be due to us having a large party. We has a reservation but the restaurant canceled it earlier in the day. Luckily they had a spot for us anyway! They do serve the margaritas with the little lights in them, which was a topic of conversation so that was fun. read more

I have been here several times and every time had great service, great food, reasonable prices, and nice atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place. So far we have taken 4 couples at 4 different times and each time we left very satisfied. read more

Why dont you enjoy some yummy deliciousness at La Victoria? We did..hubs and I. We were gonna head over to Mexcalito but decided to give this place a try... and we are glad we did. Cozy, yet super cute, and they have outdoor seating. My generously portioned birria quesadilla was delish! Tender beef barbacoa! The servers were fantastic..very polite and attentive. It's a great place to go if you're in the mood for some pretty good Mexican food. Be sure to check out the bar menu! Cute vibes for a chill late Saturday afternoon. read more

If you're looking for a more upscale Mexican restaurant, this is your place. Beautiful decor and amazing mural is the focal point here. I opted for the shrimp bowl which had a good portion size. The drinks looked super cute but were just ok in my opinion. The cocktail list was extensive so I would go back to try some other options. In terms of service this was excellent! I was greeted at the door as soon as I walked in and my waitress from Argentina (forgot her name) was very patient and helpful! She checked on us regularly and provided updates along the way on our food which was appreciated. read more

This is a cute spot. My mom and I dined in for lunch and started off with a round of drinks and cheese dip. It was a beer for her and the Top Shelf OG Margarita for me. Next it was the ACP trio with chicken and double shrimp for my mom and the enchiladas supremes for me. The drinks, food and service were all great. read more
La Victoria is a busy Mexican restaurant with limited chefs and servers. It was very packed and extremely loud on Monday inside. Although our party of 4 were seated immediately, it took about 10 minutes to get a server and another 10 to get our margaritas and another 10 to place our order. The margarita was excellent. It was huge and had a delicious sour mix. Novelty light was included in the drink. I had the fajita quesadilla and found it flavorful and delicious. The chicken and veggies had that wonderful fajita flavor. My husband had the chicken enchilada verde and liked his as well. Would definitely come back for the drink alone! Also the chips were very thick and crispy and I enjoyed the salsa. Also weirdly a Caution Wet Floor sign practically sat at our table and I didn't see a wet anything and no one offered to remove it. I found this place last minute and came within the last hour and they happily welcomed me inside. The food was great!! The service and decor was really nice. I don't have complaints or anything really bad to say besides the drinks could be stronger but that's about it. Nonetheless give this place a try especially if you're by the airport. I'd choose this place over the other local spots any day! read more

Finally a Mexican restaurant with a Tulum flare in the Triangle! We strolled into La Victoria after a friend recommended it, and we were mesmerized by the vibrant green filled decor. A large mural sits on the distant wall behind the main dining area while the bar sections off on the right. You can see the kitchen staff bustling from pretty much any angle in the restaurant. Anyhow, we were promptly seated and brought the customary chips and salsa. Our drinks arrived promptly and the server graciously answered our questions about the menu. Now, this menu not only has the typical fare you find at other Mexican establishments, but it raises the bar. From quesabirria tacos to tortas to huevos con chorizo, it all brought a glow to our eyes. BUT, I tend to judge most restaurants by always trying my go-to dish first...it helps me set the bar. SO ACP it was, and it was delicious! Others at the table indulged in fajitas, flautas, and chipotle enchiladas. Everyone was content with their meals (including the kiddos). The location of La Victoria has had several predecessors that didn't survive over the years, but I hope this place is here for the long term. If they keep the vibe, get creative with some seasonal menu items, and deliver the bad ass service that they have today...I think the Triangle is in for a treat! I was in the Cary area for work and my friend and I tried La Victoria for dinner. We loved the atmosphere. We went on a Wednesday, early evening so it wasn't crowded. They have great chips and dip, great service. I had the grilled tilapia tacos and my friend had the chipotle mango chicken. We really enjoyed our meals. It comes three to an order and a side of rice and beans. We were told that on taco Tuesdays you can mix and match the three tacos. I had the spicy mamacita drink. If you love spicy drinks, I highly recommend it. It had a nice kick! I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Will definitely be coming back to this place, as long as Gabriel is there!!! His knowledge and patience in explaining the drinks was the highlight for my friend and me. The food was delicious too, but we ate to keep up with the drinks we ordered. Definitely order the Paloma Lupita with your preferred tequila too. We ate at the bar around 4:30, so it was pretty relaxed inside. I can see this place getting busy after 6 though. The bathroom was clean and smelled fresh. read more

Experienced La Victoria for the first time, and will definitely be back! Carols, manager, and staff were friendly. welcoming and offered many great suggestions. Cocktails are colorful and unique. Try the OG, skinny or La Victoria margaritas for a unique experience. Lots of dinner options, all with fresh ingredients. I recommend Flautas de Pollo, Mango Chipotle tacos or Carne Asada tacos. Try this place! You will not be disappointed. read more

This is located in the Arboretum strip mall and is beyond perfect! We are only here for 2 days and we had to come back. The fresh guac is addictive as Fentanyl! Excellent service and perfect, fresh ingredients. Don't hesitate! read more

One of my favorite spots to enjoy good Mexican food and drinks! The service is always great and the ambiance is bright and enjoyable. It's take a while for the mango guacamole to be prepared. You'll eat a whole bowl of chips by the time that stuff comes out but other than that, I find any reason to dine here. read more

Great restaurant! Beautifully decorated! Staff is super friendly and helpful. Food is amazing! Haven't had anything we didn't like. Guacamole is freshly made, and we love how the chips are seasoned. Show pics of some of our favorite items so far. Definitely recommend.! read more
