Extremely disappointing and frustrating experience here last Tuesday afternoon, I cannot recommend this place at all. I booked a 60-minute deep tissue massage package priced at $60 for member. When I arrived, I clearly told the front desk I was there for deep tissue massage, and they led me straight to a treatment room. Once my therapist came in, I repeated again that I only wanted the standard deep tissue massage, which is the only package they advertise. I never asked for or agreed to any lympha system clean treatment whatsoever. The massage ran for almost 90 minutes total, and I only found out about the billing fraud when I was ready to sign the receipt. They charged me $110 (member price) for a 90-minute lymphatic detox treatment that I never consented to. I immediately brought this mistake up to the front desk staff, who admitted the phone booking staff had incorrectly logged the wrong service into their system. Here's the core issue: this was entirely your employee's careless error during scheduling. Why should a customer be forced to pay extra for your staff's miscommunication and messy booking system? It's completely unfair to shift the blame and extra cost onto your guest when I stated my desired service twice--once to the receptionist, once directly to the massage therapist before the session started. No one checked in with me mid-session to confirm they were switching my treatment or extending the time. There was zero transparent communication about the price change. I left feeling ripped off and disrespected. Poor customer service, careless booking mistakes, and unexpected hidden charges make this place not worth visiting. One comes to a spa to relax and get treatments and feel rejuvenated. Unfortunately, this place is high- pressure selling. They will attempt to shame you into buying one of their overpriced packages. My sister gifted me a package here. At the end of my first visit, they insisted I buy their $3000 package. The aesthetician said that's the package my sister usually buys. I said I'm not my sister. She then rolled her eyes and offered their $2000 package. When I still seemed reluctant, the aesthetician said they will offer me their lowest package at $1000 because of my sister. When I still showed hesitation, the office manager who was also present said if I couldn't afford their lowest package then maybe I shouldn't be there. I felt bad because my sister is a long- term client so I kept going back to use up the package she got me and also hoping for better service. Every time they will upsell me on additional treatments and products. They will say my skin is too dry, too dark and needs additional work. I have been there a total of five times for different facial treatments and once for laser. I return every time hoping it will be a better experience. This last experience was a facial and the aesthetician insisted using supposedly their very high-end Swiss products. My skin started breaking out after I came home. For me, this usually happens if I use very rich skin care products. My aesthetician kept selling the products she was using during the entire treatment. After a week, I was still breaking out which prompted me to contact their office. The office manager called me back and insisted that what I was experiencing had nothing to do with their products and because she and I are similar in age, having breakouts is normal ! Needles to say, I find them to be very unprofessional. I kindly asked for a credit for my last facial because not only was it ineffective, it caused more damage. She replied with that's impossible. I truly hope they will stop their high-pressure selling tactics and let their customers enjoy the services and let the results speak for themselves. The facials and massages here are excellent however front desk severely lacking in customer service and extremely rude. If I wasn't pushed to buy a package that I need to use up, I wouldn't return. It is extremely hard to make an appointment because either A) they don't pick up even after calling multiple times throughout the day B) they ask you to hold and keep transferring you to different people who are not able to help you book an appointment (they also answer the phone by asking "what do you want" in an unfriendly manner--I found out that the Yelp number for this business is actually a personal cell phone number so I let them know that they should change it if they don't want business calls to that number) C) telling you they are busy and will call you back but they don't or D) they book you an appointment and when you show up there is no record of an appointment made. Also, when I called to make an appointment with Lily (I highly recommend her), I was told she was at the Diamond Bar location on the day I wanted to book, so I asked what day would she be at the Temple City location since I would prefer to have Lily. The front desk rep on the phone replied, "why don't you drive to Diamond Bar? I live in Monterey Park and I still drive to Diamond Bar." I told her that Diamond Bar was too far for me but I'm willing to wait for a day when Lily will be in Temple City because I trust her work and it's closer to me. Well, the front desk rep didn't seem to like my answer and said she'll call me back in 1 hour to check, but alas she did not. I called back the next day since I didn't get my call back- I was able to make an appointment with Lily in Temple City! I called the day of to confirm that my appointment was still good...and no appointment on record. It is such a shame that it is difficult to make an appointment and that the front desk customer service is atrocious because I truly enjoy their hydro facials and lymphatic massages. The facility is clean and the workers are friendly. I come out feeling refreshed and I don't find it as painful as other facial places during the extraction of blackheads, since they use a water suction method. I know my body it's tired and has excess "siqi" and needs massage to release it. Jenny helped me and she was rilli good. When she messaged me, she could tell I needed more massage on shoulder and back, which she focused more on it. I was scanned to be a customer by temple city store manager Ping. Ping used a used car sales strategy and kept me at their store for hours and won't let me go until I sign a contract with them. It happened 12/31/23. I scheduled an appointment on 5/3/25 and ping was at the temple city location, first she booked my appt at the wrong location and after she reviewed my contract she claimed that I misunderstood the promo I received at sign up. throughout the process, she patronized me, refused to use the sign up promotion and insist to communicate in Chinese only. They are starting to sell you into buying their packages without fully explaining what they offer. Wish I can give this place NAGATIVE star. For anyone out there thinking about having the Picosure( 皮秒雷射) done here, please think twice !!! I purchased the 3 picosure treatments after I heard the advertisement on the radio, decided to give it a try. I had it done in Sep of last year, and THAT ruined my face The technician did my Pico, seems very nice and attentive, but no knowledgeble at all, of course I didnt realized that after the treatment was done, especially when she briefly go over the aftercare, you can tell she is not experienced. I was only having small brown spots ( malasmas) on both side of my cheekbone area, after the treatment, there were more spots, biger and darker, even on the areas that I never had before ! I was totally deversated. Later by doing more of my own research, it appears that my malasmas having rebounds (反黑), by used too high of the strength with the laser, by the inexperienced technician !! Freaking out I reached the office, Jia Jia (佳佳) gave me some products to try, but non was helping. Another lady whom is at the front, I believe her name is Ping ( 萍) she is not helpful at all, when I had the consultation with her, she didnt warn me anything about possible side effects of the Pico, its only when I told her Im having problems after the treatment, then she said she had rebounds on hers also, she probably try to make it feel better by saying that, but her dishonesty make me feel like I was being cheated. To make the matter worse, I was offered a golden intensive facial ( don't know the exact name) hoping it will help improve my condition, yes it does made my skin feel softer and more moisturized after it was done, but did nothing lighten my spots. Later I was told my $200 treatment credit paid towarded this facial, something i could have get it elsewhere for less than $100 or less, I couldnt believe it ! . Ping ( 萍) the front deak lady not only NOT being helpful, but she continues to pursuant me to buy more other treaments, said those might help me. I feel I had enough of her, all she cared is money, she doesn't care about me, sad and disappointed. As far as my credit on the 3rd treatment, I was so upset while i was talking to Ping, so I decided to take some products so I dont have to deal with this place (total 3 bottles ). In general, the therapist is very nice and professional but the front desk manager has bad attitude who always mess up the appointment time and even blame the clients. If you are working parents like myself, it's very hard to coordinate with their "floating" schedule which will be adjusted to hour before or after your original appointment. If you question about the time, you will got questioned back like "did you even write it down in ur note" or "why didn't you remember your therapist's schedule?" so they expected clients to do the scheduling themself? if so they should create an online scheduling system which may help their front desk to keep track of their appointments easier. read more
