My first impression was a stunning and ethereal place that immediately hit me as I walked through the door and left the street behind. The lighting and finishes emerge you in a serene and tranquil space. The manager greeted me immediately and we discussed my needs and what was lost in translation previously. I could not believe the assortment of service- it was a one stop dream. There are numerous treatment rooms set up for different services- I thought this was really decadent, given that many of the spas and medi- spas I've been to use the same room for everything. Not here. Everything is also very clean, neat and organized. I was impressed Nina took me back to the light laser room pinned my hair back and numbed my face. Once I was seriously numbed, we went to another room to wash off the numbing cream and then back to the laser. I'd not had a laser like this before and it seriously felt like it was doing its work as she delicately passed it over the zones of my face. I seriously recommend the add on that came next- the healing mask. It was on for 15 minutes and literally there was no redness visible. I wanted to drive home with it but we both laughed and decided I'd look like "Jason." Buy one to take home too. When I got home I could see the skin tightening immediately and was excited. Paid for 6 sessions of treatment on the upper lip, underarms, Brazilian, and legs, every 4-6 weeks to start and it was super convenient to schedule for all the sessions. I just completed all the introductory sessions 2 months ago, and honestly I've never been so happy with the results! My strawberry skin is slowly getting better, and now the majority of my legs are flawless! No more buying shaving creams and razors! My under arms and Brazilian are a little bit more stubborn but I'm able to schedule touch ups as needed to take care of those soon too! Afterwards, I soaked in the hot tub for about 10-15 minutes, as I was accompanied -- the whole entire time -- by a lovely woman who "was assigned to me" to make sure my entire stay was extraordinary. (By the way, my attendant regularly served me cups of tea. . . talk about personalized client service!) So, from the in-floor hot tub, I went into the steam sauna; I could've chosen to walk into the dry sauna, but I just didn't feel like it. Once again, I had the whole sauna room to myself! I loved that! Then, I was directed to go to the Quiet Room to relax and meditate for 15-20 minutes before my full-body scrub (which included a deep soak in a wooden tub), and full-body massage. I HAD A FANTASTIC TIME. I stayed for a little over three hours!!! Ann Karen Day Spa was simply a beautiful place. It was tastefully decorated. Every attendant was so friendly. And even though I communicated in English, and they communicated back in Chinese, we didn't have any major difficulties with the language barrier. I would DEFINITELY go back here. The Himalayan salt room is the only shared area. The interior is well maintained, although it feels a bit outdated. the cleaning staff was attentive and kept the spa clean. I arrived 45 minutes before my massage so I could use the Himalayan salt room and sauna, and take a shower before my 60-minute massage. Overall, my experience was good. They charge $50 for a day pass. I would love to go back and use the spa again sometime in the future.

He seemed confused by my presence and told me that everyone was out to lunch. I was confused and he told me to talk to one of the nurses, but she looked annoyed at me and told me to keep waiting in the lobby -- when I asked if they were on their lunch, she said no and to be patient. Finally, I was seen by the consultant. The consultant was very no-nonsense and didn't seem to have the patience to answer my questions. When I asked her about my concerns re: skin fat burning, she would brush them off by saying "Well, just use a different laser then". Okay, but...she didn't answer my questions or really explain the pros and cons of each laser? Ultimately, I will choose a different location. There are other places with similar pricing where you will feel valued and treated like a patient.
