For the first month the couches did great. The following month the power controls on the side of the couch stopped working. Seats already feel like they have less cushion than before. One seat kinda looks like a flat pancake compared to the others. We bought them thinking Lazboy was the best but soon realized all your buying is the name. Same junk as all other couch brands. And delivery with them is horrible I watched them lay the couch on its side on the concrete outside my doors scratching it. They sent out a replacement couch to fix the problem and ended up doing the same thing to the next couch but worse. Had extra padding added to make them comfortable and durable.. On 10/23 What a nightmare Lazyboy repair warranty just discover two lovely sofas have broken frames ?!#notice sagging in middle when guest sat in them. Lazyboy said they will send someone to rebuild the furniture in my home what a joke.. We are asking for a full refund they were delivered with broken frames. This is a bamboozle attempt to sell, & build broken furniture. The manufacturer upon review a placed ply wood stapled over the cracked frame so no one would notice. Just had an incredibly frustrating situation dealing with a manager who refused to help me complete the purchase of the fourth recliner I have bought from La-Z-Boy in the last 12 months. Their system was having problems and would not accept my credit card. It was like speaking to a robot, she did nothing to try to accommodate the situation that was clearly an IT problem on their side. She refused my request to have a supervisor or regional person contact me, and wouldn't even take a message to return my phone call to try to resolve this. She repeated the same thing over and over again about their policies and offered no solution to solve the problem they created. Shockingly frustrating. I purchased a couch on 7/7/25. It was not cheap 3300.00. I asked the salesperson are there any other days that this sofa may be at a lower price. I never received an answer after a lot of tap dancing around the question. I woke up this morning and went to the website to check the measurements of the sofa only to see it is now 800.00 less than yesterday. I was pissed and happy at the same time. We bought a house full of furniture at La-Z-Boy in Oxnard. We moved here in April and went to every furniture store in the area (including some at quite a distance). We loved the furniture at La-Z-Boy, but it was the people that made the sale. Jessica was amazing to work with. She was so kind, patient and thoughtful. She recommended that we get a free in-home consultation with their designer, Kayla, and that was top-notch as well. She had great ideas and with her guidance we are thrilled with the results. Great salesperson delivery and service. Review is for the poor product. After my mother's surgery, she needed an electric operated chair, so I went to Lazyboy, spent thousands on one. While the electric part still works great, in just 4 months the cushions have compressed to the point of feeling the metal bars. No one can sit in the chair now, without a ton of pillows. It's been a month since our recliner mechanism broke and we still don't even have the parts ordered to fix it. I've had to call multiple times to get the ball rolling and every time there is zero accountability and no urgency to get our $4,000 recliner fixed. Buyer BEWARE of doing business with this operation. I am a lifelong Lay-Z-Boy fan. The last chair I purchased from them lasted 30 years and was still more than serviceable. Oxnard Lay-Z-Boy, however, has horrendous service! They are so desperate to make a buck that they have zero concern for customer satisfaction. I purchased three recliners, one for our home and two for our condo. When the first two chairs arrived they were horrible. Toxic smell coming from the leather and the urea-formaldehyde resin used in the composite "wood" frame, dent in the top of one chair, ineffective ratchet system. Overall super-shoddily made chairs. Not the quality I'd become accustomed to with Lay-Z-Boy. I went in to the store right away to exchange them, but was told they'd be retaining fees which added up to more than HALF the entire purchase price, even though I wanted to EXCHANGE the chairs for more costly items! Completely unacceptable. I advised the store representative that I was cancelling the third chair and would like to speak to the manager about the exchange policy on the two chairs I had received. I was within the three-day cancellation period, but the store manager wasn't in that day, so I obtained a note from the floor rep stating they would extend the three-day period for one day. I spoke with the manager when she arrived the following day and she merely repeated the policy stated to me the day before. Wouldn't compromise or budge. So, I'm stuck with the first two chairs. The third chair was never delivered. I assumed this was because I cancelled it, but wanted to be sure. I called the delivery warehouse number the day after not receiving that chair and was told no such delivery had ever been scheduled. (They assured me that they are the only Lay-Z-Boy delivery center for Southern California.) However, I NEVER received a refund for that chair. I started a dispute claim with my bank in an effort to recover the cost of the third chair, which was NOT a special order and was NOT delivered. Just got word my claim has been denied. Lay-Z-Boy Oxnard is basically trying to force a chair down my throat that has never even left the warehouse! I will never shop Lay-Z-Boy again. They are obviously not the same company I've dealt with in the past. read more

WOW! We purchased a power recliner from this store slightly over a year ago. Recently the remote control was not working. I sent an email to La-Z-Boy last night and already had a response this morning . I called the customer service number , and I was so impressed with the lady ! She walked me through resetting the remote (because everything today has a computer chip) . I thought it didn't work, so she kindly gave me the sake's receipt number (I had misplaced ours)and the service company that would assist us further. She also said if I needed further help to call back. My husband and I decided to try resetting it again and learned it had worked, I was just not setting up the personal settings right. Avoid La-Z-Boy!! I give them zero stars. They used to be the bomb! Furniture was made to last forever. This is no longer the case. Same quality as every other furniture store but triple the cost . The lifetime warranty is a scam now. They say it will cover frame and springs but if they fail you will be put on hold for hours and then if you do get a hold of them they still charge you by the hour to come out and maybe repair months out. Yes "maybe" repair because they "can't " guarantee repairs . If your cushions or fabric fail after a month nothing covers that not even the extra care insurance that the sales people claim at time of sale covers. They will find any excuse to not repair failed furniture or make you pay. And again you still will end up paying hundreds if any repairs are maybe done . If you bring home a chair or sofa and it falls apart and breaks same day and try and get a refund within the so called 3 day return policy you will never get a full refund . They find all kinds of ways to keep as much of your money as they can. Don't believe anything they say. Look at better Business Bureau complaints . Across-the-board its complaints about furniture failing, and La-Z-Boy refusing to honor warranties anymore . There has been some sorta shift in the company they are not the same . Check out the multiple social media groups sharing nightmare stories about this company that used to be great. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED I WOULD GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE! I worked with Donovan and he was great. He took me around tha store until he figured out what I do and do not like. Then he showed the perfect chair! I thought that was an really astute way to take care of the customer. Donovan was such a pleasure to work with. We had a fun going around the store. He's a gem. No hard sell at all. Donovan also has very good taste. I know because I have good taste as well. I hope he's going to school for a career in interior design, or something similar. Gave me a " valid price quote " stated on the bottom of the page good for 7 days. Today Sunday went to finalize since I was unsure between two colors. Went to go pay price was a few hundreds dollars more. Store manager Claudia says the price quote was a mistake. She stated she is trying to work with me by giving me a free delivery. I can't say enough about the friendly staff there, especially Maria. From top to bottom this was a first class operation. We had a wonderful buying experience at LA-Z-BOY yesterday when looking for recliners for ourselves. Linda A. greeted us as we walked in and was so very helpful and knowledgeable. She was able to recommend the right size chairs for each of us and researched the ability and costs to custom fit them for our likes. I would definitely recommend this store and Linda to friends and family. This is an update. We waited 5 weeks for our chairs and when they were delivered they were wrongly ordered. I'm writing to review the lazy boy company. Not this specific store. I have purchased lazy boy furniture for 25 years. I pay extra for it because I believe in paying extra for quality merchandise. I purchased a $1200 recliner two years ago. The material on the arms is peeling. When I called to complain about it, they said the arms are made out of vinyl not leather. How would anyone know that when purchasing a $1200 chair? They would not repair the arm but offered to let me pay to repair it for $300. So disappointing. Never again. read more

I am writing this review for a friend and roommate. We were out getting lunch and were driving by a lazy boy that just happened to be going out of business in that location and was offering huge discounts supposedly at this store because everything had to go that day. We needed a new couch and my roommate decided to go with a burgundy couch that would go well with the darker wooden floor. The associates there were very friendly and willing to take money off for the couch saying everything had to go. Of course, they would be more than willing to accommodate at this point. Unfortunately, they wouldn't be able to use their own shipping company to deliver the furniture that day so they would have to use a third-party shipping company. There was even insurance paid for on the new furniture. When they finally delivered the couch from a third party they put a small rip in the couch in the back. We thought it would not be a big deal since they assured us that the insurance and warranty would cover the repairs. Due to the friendliness and promises made by the company that damages would be an easy fix on them, my roommate decided to buy some more furniture from the company for another location and this time it took more than six months to deliver the product and the same situation occurred. To keep it short Lazy Boy does not honor their warranty or insurance for repairs on deliveries for damages! Do not trust them! read more

This company is quick to take your money for furniture. The challenge comes in when a repair is needed. The repair company is very difficult to get in touch with. You call and they will maybe call you back in 24 hours. It took three months to get a repair done to a chair we had one month before it broke. read more

We love the product but we are disappointed in the service. We bought a only bought this specific couch because it was a guaranteed delivery for the end of January. I was called today to say it will not be delivered until MARCH!!!!! They now said the "Well we really didn't say that particular delivery...blah blah blah." I feel baited and switched. From the second my father and I walked in here Donevahn was extremely helpful. My father and I are both over six and a half feet tall, so we naturally have a hard time fitting into/on anything. Donevahn, noticing this immediately, directed us over to the few chairs that would fit us, cutting thirty minutes of guessing out of our day, and within 5 minutes we had decided upon the chair for us, one that actually fit!!! (Better than my own bed even) We fell into a set of La-Z-Boys and didn't have to get up once until we left the store, the customizations and transaction took place with us on the recliners and Donevahn taking care of everything while making sure we were comfortable.
