I was with my husband who took a comfortable seat at the front while I perused the showroom. Mind you another couple came in with us and they were not welcomed either! There were five sales associates at the register and not one single person spoke to me and I was actually looking at two pieces. Customer service is still a thing and whoever is managing this particular store should be embarrassed! I bet not one person made their daily sales goal today lol! Anyway! You get a strong "0" in my review today and I will not be back and would NEVER refer anyone to your store! The Worst Customer Service I experienced in a long time!!! And I had to throw up my hand and wave goodbye and say have a nice day before they even took notice of me! Guess I am buying with RH today!

And let me make something very clear before I begin: I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars at this location multiple times this year I've been loyal. I've been courteous. I've been nothing but kind. And Michael managed to destroy all of that in a single moment. Our interaction started off perfectly fine. Friendly, even. I was actually enjoying myself -- laughing, talking, having a genuinely pleasant time. Then he mentioned dealing with a difficult customer, and I responded with a compliment, exactly as I said it: "Yeah, it's too bad you guys have to deal with that stuff. I could never do customer service because it sucks how you have to stay and be uncomfortable and deal with difficult customers. Whereas in my job we have it easy -- you can leave the room if someone is yelling at you." I said this while wearing scrubs because I work in healthcare. I was admiring his patience. I was telling him his job is HARDER than mine in that way. I was being kind. And this man -- who is old enough to be my father -- stood there, stone-faced, and waited. He literally waited until I had swiped my card for over $2,000. He waited until the payment went through, until his commission was secured. Only then did he decide it was time to humiliate me. He looked at me and said: "Our customer service doesn't suck. I bet it's about as good as your nursing." Let me repeat that. "I bet it's about as good as your nursing." I am not a nurse. I never said I was. I never said the customer service sucked I was giving him a compliment. He assumed I was a nurse because I am a woman in scrubs -- as if every woman in healthcare is the same, as if our actual roles, specialties, and degrees don't matter. And this man -- this sales associate -- thought it was appropriate to throw that insult in my face like my profession was a joke he could use to put me in my place. I barely made it to my car before the tears started. I cried the entire way home. Because the way he spoke to me was not just rude -- it was belittling, sexist, dismissive, condescending, and deeply personal. This wasn't a misunderstanding. This wasn't a slip of the tongue. This was a man who waited until I paid, then intentionally demeaned me. And here's the worst part: the other two associates I interacted with -- a woman and a man -- were absolutely lovely. They were warm, kind, respectful, everything a sales associate should be! But let me be very clear: Because of Michael, I will never step foot in this location again. Because of Michael, this store lost a long-term, loyal customer. Because of Michael, I walked out of Restoration Hardware in tears after dropping two thousand dollars the same night. No one should walk into a store feeling excited and walk out feeling this way.

But See's is next door, so get yourself a few pieces of chocolate, get on a chocolate high, and go next door. We were pleasantly surprised. We were looking for a sofa set and didn't see a ton of options at first. Then we sat in a very nice-looking comfortable couch and learned we could get Christopher Robbins couches through this store. Now, you could probably get them slightly cheaper online without going to this store, but I appreciate the time and care the owner gave to us. (We took a while to decide on the colors, and it was nice to be able to see the couch samples and colors in person.) We weren't about to take an hour of the owner's time and then order online. The difference isn't that much, so don't be a jerk and pull one of those I-saw-it-in-the-store-but-I'll-buy-it-online deals. Not. Cool. Anywho, we have our couches and they showed up when we were told they would show up. I love that they are fashionable but not too trendy, and best of all, Made in the USA. We're looking forward to coming back, getting some chocolate, and buying more furniture. :)

We told the salesman we would not be able to get into our new home for a couple months and he said that was fine. When the chairs came in, he called and said we needed to get them that weekend, or they would get sent to Antelope Valley. When we reminded him we told him about our situation when we bought the items, he said, "Don't you have a garage to stick them in? " So that's what we did. Their delivery person came that weekend and advised us not to open the packaging because it was packed very tightly to protect it, so we didn't. A month later, when we were able to move in and open it, lo and behold, the item was damaged on the side. We called the store manager, and he couldn't care less. He was unwilling to take the item back or even offer to give it to us at the floor model price since the chair looks used. He did offer to give us a discount next time we shop at his store, but there is no way we're ever going back there when they don't take responsibility for their delivery service or stand by their products. There's so many furniture stores next to them to choose from. Skip this one.
