This place is horrific. Besides the fact that the wait is always so long we took my toddler grandson who is 2 1/2 to get blood drawn. After an hour wait they informed us that they no longer have pediatric needles because there is a shortage and they will have to use a regular size needle that could be very dangerous. They also told us that we have to have two people hold him down because he moves it could be very serious. When we asked if they have ever done this before they said no they have not. Complete carelessness with a toddler's life. These people do not know what they're doing they should be shut down. Worst experience ever. Do not take your children here! read more

Received a blood test in 2018. LabCorp lost the or somehow misplaced the results. Still charged me even after the Lab tech confirmed no charge for their mistake. LabCorp sent charges to their collections. After numerous calls a senior account executive dismissed all charges in 2019. I finally received a invoice confirmation no charges. Three years later LabCorp billing still has not resolved my account. Received again the same old bill from collections. Today I had no appointment and walked in to get my lab work done. I was met by a very friendly man at the front desk. The check-in procedure was VERY easy to do and streamlined. I only waited 5 minutes before the technician called me back. His name is Jean (French accent) and he couldn't have been nicer or more professional. Thanks for making my "appt" so easy, Jean. I went in for a fasting blood draw and although there was over an hour wait, the staff was very efficient and friendly. I especially enjoyed my phlebotomist, Scott, who was able to draw blood from a tricky vein without any problems - he's a regular blood ninja! read more

I walked in and asked about how long it would take. They estimated an hour and it was pretty accurate! They have wifi so it is nice to have while waiting. Check in is easy with many screens you could use. The front desk and the staff were friendly when I was there. Harassment!! My wife went in to have blood work preformed and was hit on by the phlebotomist who went as far as asking for her phone number after she advised she was married. We are filing complaints with the BBB as well as the local Medical Review board in Encinitas. This is a horrible reflection and place you NEVER want to send your wife or daughter. read more

I waited over an hour. I put all my information in the kiosk. I got the text message (included in the photos) followed the directions and was called to the lab area. After waiting patiently the lab person said I wasn't in the computer and took me back to the lobby. The two people in the lobby then proceeded to help other people in front of me and take other people to the lab area in front of me. After I advised how unfair this practice was the two people (photographed) then started to say they are the ones who text people (it is against the law to personally text any medical information) and acted like I skipped the line which is the opposite of the truth. I came to Labcorp today for my 1hr glucose test. My experience was overall okay! Due to Covid, they are only allowing 4 people max in their waiting room and everybody else is either to wait outside or in the car. They accept both walk-ins & appointments. If you are coming in for a walk-in, do be prepared to wait a while. The receptionist was nice and helpful. Patients seemed to be rude and upset that they had to wait for so long but it is a small laboratory so I'm not too sure what they were expecting... read more

WOW, the reviews are horrible for Labcorp! Well, as always, I waited till almost the last minute to get my labs done before my yearly. I picked up my kiddos from school, dropped them off and thought I just may get lucky since it's a Friday, an HOUR before they close. Who wants to get their blood taken on a Friday afternoon, right?! Well, I was right! Yes!!!! Got in at 3:30pm (they close at 4:30), didn't even sit down, but checked in and then was taken right back to get my blood drawn. The lab tech (male) was super . . . BEST one I've ever had (Rodel?). My veins are small and hard to find, so he used a pediatric needle (I literally didn't even feel it, except for a bit of pressure - probably his thumb) and 'voila!' I was done. Finished. And there ya go folks! The staff was wonderful, we joked around and I was treated great. I'll go again . . . on a FRIDAY AFTERNOON! read more

Thank you to the entire staff for helping me late on a Friday afternoon. With just minutes to spare and a computer system glitch, my unsung heroes went the extra mile for me to get my three tests into their system by speaking with my doctor's office to get all of the information needed. Otherwise, I would have to go back to square one and start the collections again. All three heroes were very professional at the end of a long day. Came in on a Saturday (one of few Lab Corps in SD with Saturday appointments) with an appointment and was seen immediately. My test required me to wait for an hour, during which I saw a lot of people come in and out of the place. While there were at times a lot of people in the waiting room, everyone I saw was in and out really quickly (5-10mins total). Someone on her way out mentioned how it didn't hurt at all when the phlebotomist drew her blood, so I requested to be seen by the same gentleman (Hispanic man named Diego). Diego did a great job - other than the prick/pinch at the beginning, I didn't feel pain, and the procedure was over before I knew it. There's plenty of parking, and there's also a water cooler in the waiting room. read more

Terrible lab. Waited 45 minutes after my appointment time and still hadn't been called. Had to wait outside in a messy and hot area since only four people are allowed to wait inside. I left after I went inside to see where I was in the line and there was no one at the front desk, just a handwritten note that they would be back. Extremely unprofessional! They have now messed up 2 seperate lab tests in less than 2 months. When I have been here in years past it was great, no problems but that is no longer the case. I do not enjoy getting blood drawn and I really do not appreciate my medical care being delayed due to incompetence. I have already been back once due to the sample they contaminated and now I get to go back again because they only did one of the 2 labs that I brought in. I wish I could give this place a 0- star by far labcorp has lower their hiring standards in the last years. I guess anyone can work here just show you meet some requirements. I came in on a Saturday because the appointments for fasting are seriously about 5-6 weeks out. The two phlebotomist that were there on this day were so rude and condescending. The short hair girl was helping someone next to me and he was making small talk so he simply asked her how's your day going so far? Well she quickly responded" I am here working how good can it be" oh and by the way you are welcome" I was in shock she would say that out loud talk about poor customer service. The other girl who I was not lucky to get works at the San Marcos location which I was trying to avoid. She cannot draw blood on the first try. She blamed my veins and decided she was going to move the needle around to see if she could find my vein after a few times I finally told her to stop. I told her my other arm was the better one and since she had already hurt my right arm she went to the left arm without any issue drew the blood. Labcorp hire people who can smile and are warm friendly individuals. Have a class on customer service. Tell your employees to be classy not talk loud enough where everyone in the waiting room hears them talk about other employees or gossip about their lives. It's unprofessional! I don't want to know that the other employee due to arrive has an attitude and hates working on Saturdays. I am here to have my blood drawn for a reason. Do you think I am here just because. I chose not to come here initially because of all the bad reviews - so I went to the location on Saxony. This is the second time I had gone to that location and ended up being sent back to this one. Ugh. So here I am, luckily with only one other patient in the waiting room and feeling a bit unsure. They called me back after a moment or so and I was taken care of by Scott. I told him I'd like to lie down because I'm not great at these things. Long story short he was super nice and accommodating - not to mention gentle - I was in and out in no time and with not even a flinch or feeling of knowing he'd taken the blood already, let alone finished. I had a terrible experience at this Lab Corps. Upon entering for the first time, the receptionist was immediately dismissive toward me and just asked me to write my name and sit down without asking me why I was there or if they could help me. While I was in the waiting room, I observed one of the front-desk employees accidentally charge a customer due to a computer error and telling the customers to just keep an eye on their credit card bill to see what happened. After waiting for thirty minutes, I went back up to ask if I was in the right place and it was only then that they took the time to see if I was where I should be. After waiting another twenty minutes, I was brought in to get my blood drawn. The woman who took me back and drew my blood was boldly rude and brash. She asked me which arm I wanted to get the blood drawn from, and when I hesitated, she seemed very angry and she grumbled to herself. She then proceeded to aggressively tug one of my arms, wrap it, and poke me with the needle without warning. Especially considering that I am not a fan of needles, this was a very uncomfortable situation where I felt vulnerable, unsafe, and disrespected. This is a situation where a little customer service could go a long way. I would never suggest going to this location of Lab Corps, as it was a very bad experience and negatively effected the rest of my day. read more

These people are poking you with needles and you feel like they are as enthusiastic to be there as the cash register people at the supermarket. . .and not the Trader Joe variety friendly ones. On a particular busy day one of the Nurses really jabbed me in the arm while taking my blood and just seemed upset. . So sad for a healthcare facility to be like this. Some people have to go to these testing centers often for serious illnesses and it's no fun when the staff treats you like you are a burden. read more

I have been going here for years. We used to bring my mother in law when she visited each winter for 6 weeks to have her blood tested for a heart drug she took. Always, easy quick and efficient. If memory serves we were always walk in. These days I have been going in for my mother who has frequent UTI's and when I need to get in I always feel desperate because a UTI makes her dementia extremely worse. Made an appointment online two days ago, fasted, arrived, checked in 30 minutes before my appointment. After waiting 30 minutes, and they didn't call me at 1145 for mY appointment, I asked the front desk receptionist if I would be called soon bc I have an appointment at 1145. She told me no bc I am not even checked in. Really? Nor does she show me having an appointment. I have a text confirmation even. So now, I have to wait for the appointment people to be putt through before thhey can ddraw my blood. Next time, I will use the laboratory at Scripps! Much more professional! read more

I have been a patient of lab course of the last 15 years I have used all three locations in Encinitas. I finally got to the point where I'm so frustrated that I decided to write a review. SAXONY LOCATION - there's only one person to run the entire lab. She is the receptionist, filing clerk, and lab technician. Computer systems are so outdated and slow that it constantly is creating problems for the customer. She is so overwhelmed due to the way the supervisors have staffed the location that the wait time is prohibitive. EL CAMINO REAL - at this location, there is one receptionist and one lab technician. Their computer systems are so slow and so outdated that they often have to call the doctors office to get authorizations. The wait times are often so outrageous throughout the day that is impossible to get seen. Please be advised that on many occasions the lab technicians of showed up late. Creating a huge backlog. SANTA FE - this location is identical to the two locations above. Space there is no better service or Computer system to make your visit convenient. *Be advised that the understaffing and lack of technical support is purely the fog of the local supervisor. **The only way to correct this situation and not feeling like a herd of cattle trying to get help is to ask your doctor to please refer you to a different lab for your bloodwork. read more
