I can't speak to the speed without an appointment, but with an appointment, I was in and out of here in 15 minutes. And I think I showed up 5 minutes early. Parking was plentiful, but be aware that there's no LabCorp sign out front. You'll have to search for the address, but it's right across the street from the big hospital. Doctor sent me over for a basic blood draw, so they took my insurance, filled in a few pieces of info, sat down for 5 minutes and boom, they called my name. Man was not wearing mask at first. He did not clean his hands. Put on gloves then touched the same things that his dirty hands touched. The clean bin was not clean. He put dirty blood filled tubes into it where I noticed dried blood on it. DISGUSTING PLACE read more

I don't think I've ever made an appointment, but I always get my lab work done in a very reasonable amount of time. Not sure what else you could ask for. Most of the issues I hear people struggling with deal with insurance coverage, forgetting to fast, or not having the doctors paperwork. Blood draw discomfort depends on who you get. Most staff are very good though. read more

This is a terrible location the customer service representative at the front desk was rude disrespectful of me and my belongings. They want you to "throw everything in a metal bin including that thing around your neck" that's my daughter who passed away. The office is small you can hear everyone's business they do not have privacy or good workmanship! read more

I had a confirmed appt at 3:30. Checked in from my car utilizing their "wait from anywhere" feature. After 15 mins, no call or text, so I went in and checked in again via their kiosk in wait room. My name was now on the screen twice, as a reservation and a walk in. They have a sign that says only 3 people allowed to wait in waiting room, and all 3 chairs were full so I waited right outside the door, waiting for my call/text. At 3:59 I hear the door lock. I immediately start knocking and can hear laughing inside saying "sorry we are closed!". I continue to knock and they continue to ignore, I can hear everything inside. Finally a patient comes out the door and I go in and ask them to honor my confirmed appt, and the staff was SO rude and acted so put off that they now had to squeeze me in. My appt was prepaid, they probably would have listed me as a no show and kept the payment. My name was still on the screen, they never called or text me to let me know they were ready for me. There are three Labcorp offices closer to me, but I drive to this location on Santa Fe Drive because of the consistently excellent service I receive there. There are two phlebotomists at this location, Juliette and a gentleman (whom I do not remember his name.) Both are very professional and make me feel that they value me as a person; nobody is a 'number' at this location, both Juliette and her colleague treat everybody with respect and kindness. I request Juliette when I go, not that the gentleman would not be just as great, but I have to have my blood drawn quite often, and it is nice to have Juliette attend to me. She is friendly and attentive to her patients' needs and is a joy to work with (and everyone knows that there is nothing joyful about having a needle into your arm, Lol!) I highly recommend this Labcorp location because of these two outstanding phlebotomists. Thank you! read more

I waited 50 minutes with nobody else waiting before me. My wait was so long that somebody who had an appointment 25 mins after I arrived was seen before me. I arrived at 1:35 and his appointment was at 2. The front desk was visibly flustered and disorganized. read more

I am HIGHLY dissatisfied with this facilities service. I understand making an appointment allows for a faster response of getting you in and out however, at this facility there are specific drug screening time frames. I am not sure if this goes for a LabCorp facilities. I arrived at this place at 8 am and was told they don't start drug screenings until 9 am when they OPEN at 8 am. That makes absolutely NO sense. All I need to do is urinate in a cup meanwhile, people that are getting their blood drawn are constantly being called before me and I was here before them regardless if they have an appointment. Just like the employees here, I have a job and I need to get back to it. I could have been in and out an hour ago but, instead I am forced to sit here trying to not use the bathroom when that's actually what I am here to do. They really need to the-evaluate their hours and customer service. Not only is it annoying, it's also inconsiderate to hear a name after name being called instead of mine to do one simple thing. read more

Love the phlobotomists here and they know how to draw blood and the staff is always quick and friendly. I prefer this blood lab over all the other ones I am sent to like Quest Diagnostics. They make you feel at ease and not nervous and talk you through the process so you barely know the bliss is being drawn! read more

This is for LabCorp Inc. They refused to let me purchase (cash) a Urinalysis, w/o a Dr request! I have a current issue with Pneumonia, and mild night sweats. I also have a 27 yr history with Prostate infections. After 2 weeks of antibiotics I still have the night sweats, and suspected that the night sweats are due to another Prostate infection. I had scheduled visits with my cardiologist and my pulmonologist in a few days and needed a Blood Test prior to a scheduled visits. Decided to verify if the night sweats are from the Prostate infection, and not associated with the Pneumonia issue. I wanted pay CASH to get the Urinalysis but was told they couldn't do it without a Dr Rx. Ridiculous! That is not their rote way of doing things and they don't want to require anybody to THINK! read more

New receptionist since last time I was here and I won't be coming back. I had an 8:30 appointment and had to wait 20 minutes while she handled walk-ins. When I asked about that she said she needed to finish them because she'd already handled their paperwork. (True that they arrived before me, but isn't that the point of having an appointment?) She also called me to the desk 5 or 6 times, first for insurance card, then to help find my address because she typed in the wrong zip, other things I can't remember. When she finally asked me for a credit card at the end of that, I was feeling frustrated. Very disorganized. Edited to add that my husband told me he waited 45 minutes past his appointment for a fasting blood draw first thing in the morning. So apparently, this wasn't unusual for them. read more

I've been here 3 times. First visit student blew 2 veins and I had to insist he stop. Next visit an entire new crew in summer 2016 and it was an awesome experience, one try and don. In February 2017 another new crew. Receptionist obviously in training did not know the CPT lab codes and kept asking for help, took a long time to enter orders. Phelebotimist was experienced but took 2 tries and never verified with 2 identifiers, labeled specimen after I was leaving, their supposed to label while you watch. They also were having equipment issues, refrigerator was broken, eek call the health dept. hope the lab that runs the test is ok. Also insisted on credit card for contracted service pataients, that seems risky...red flags here. read more

I've been to 2 different Labcorps in Encinitas and 2 others in San Diego. These are my thoughts are in general reviewed because I finally can't let it go. If you can choose any other lab business, do it. What a pit. First it feels dirty for some reason, you know, a weird film in the waiting room, on the magazines etc. just not really clean. Today, the 2nd of April they had only one person working. Telephone calls were not being answered, a waiting room with at least eight people in it and a 2 hour wait for a 3 minute procedure. The poor employee, this is typical of all the Labcorp offices I've been to. (not one employee necessarily but chronically understaffed). I had forgotten how unpleasant they were until the lady asked me about an older order in the computer that I must have blocked out of my mind because the service was so bad and I did not go. I hate this corporation. Ask your Doc for a different lab. There are others. read more
