Pizza Is Still Good Long Time Favorite Eat In And A Have A Beer La Bella Pizza has been a family favorite for many years and as others mentioned the pizza still tastes basically the same after the original owners (Immigrant Italian Couple) retired and sold it to folks who you would not normally consider pizzeria owners. The original owners converted a old man bar and installed a pizza oven beginning a very successful run as small business owners that took them in to retirement by making a unusual but great pizza at reasonable price. The pizza dough is formed by using a large press it's topped and placed on a screen before cooking. The hero sandwiches, salads and other menu items were always tasty and a value. If you dined in you could grab a nice cold draught beer mug and chat with the owner and his wife who had some vivid recollections of WWII Italy. La Bella Pizza is still good but not what it once was.

This place has okay pizza. I honestly wouldn't recommend it....it's better than frozen pizza. This place is good if it's your only option.

No reason to go to nyc this is the jersey spot for corn, beef, pastrami, brisket, all hands down it's a great place a lot of people would compare it to Kats in New york. My advice is order on the phone to take out 30 min ahead. This place is busy. Once the word gets around on how great the food is it will be just a long to wait like Kats in nyc So go there now Service is as great as it can be because its busy now. Came a little after 12:30PM on a Friday, and was part of the lunch rush. I probably was in line for about 25-30 minutes, before reaching the counter to place my order. While your sandwich (or order) is being made, the employees will typically give you a little snack to hold you over until your sandwich is prepared. It's a nice little win for waiting it out. On top of that, I ordered a knish, because this catholic fellow has never tried one. Boy oh boy, for $16.95, you get a fat, stacked pastrami sandwich. The meat was extremely tender, and hit with a good smear of mustard. It's everything you expect it to be. I can't really comment more, as I am not a sandwich connoisseur, but this hit all the marks for me. The knish was "eh", lol.

Saddle Brook, NJ 07663 Choripan Special: Half Sausage Sandwich Homemade Chips This special deal includes a half sausage sandwich with freshly cut french fries (the owner refers to this side as "chips"). This sausage sandwich is a simple sandwich consisting of protein, bread, and a signature sauce. While this may seem dull, it's actually quite tasty. The Argentinian sausage was served on a soft seeded roll. The chimichurri spread was freshly made in house and undoubtedly the best feature of the sandwich. The fries were hot, crispy and seasoned perfectly. A side of ketchup was included, but they were so flavorful they could have been eaten without any dipping sauces. There is a decent amount of seating in the dining area. Because the ship is located inside a strip mall, there are multiple parking spaces behind the stores. Carlos was very attentive and an outstanding server. He welcomed me into the restaurant and made me feel right at home. #nickssandwichshop #saddlebrooknj #choripanspecial

I liked the skirt steak sandwich the best, it's not cheap but the ingredients are high quality so it's worth it as a treat. The limited sized parking lot is unpaved and not kept well. Indoor seating is tight. A single restroom is available, but it is located outside the restaurant (no worries, it is not a porta-potty). None of these characteristics about the restaurant matter because this is literally one of the best burgers I ever tasted. Named after the restaurant, this specialty gourmet burger was piled high and deep with cheese, bacon, a couple onion rings, and Steve's special sauce. The patty was juicy and the toppings really enhanced the flavor. The culmination of all the trimmings made the burger messy (which is a good problem) so be sure to have napkins handy. After I order arrived, I found out there is a combo special which includes fries and a drink. This is something that I will keep in mind for next time because it is financially a better deal. This location only accepts cash, so please plan accordingly. #stevesburgers #stevesburger #garfieldnj

Nestled in an old world-like, half Sicilian half Albanian neighborhood, right across from the Catholic Church of Our Lady of Montevergine, the entire experience took us pleasantly back in time ... salumeria along the wall, aged provolone hanging from rope, and just about every handmade delicacy you could imagine.....and some new ones we hadn't seen before... Then there's .... the bread..... the bread.... Nowhere in America is there bread like this. This is the real deal (NOT the chain supermarkets--you know who you are) that offer supposedly "Italian" or "French" bread with marshmallow softness attributed to all the preservatives and polysorbate 80. No Signore, this bread contains all the goodness of that crispy crunchy exterior with pure angelic cloud interior that melts in your mouth! Bread this good can be eaten as dessert... (if there aren't any cannolis around).... Yeah they got those here too... We couldn't decide, and we were running late so we ended up grabbing a loaf of semolina bread just in from the oven and a container of Sicilian olives (with pits! Don't waste my time with pitted olives that taste like salted cardboard). Could say more but why? Veni e guarda (look and see for yourself)... Highly recommended. We'll be back! Ce' vediamo dopo.

Mr. Anzalone…read more(who turns 70 in June of 2025!) and Vitamia (nipping at his heels with about 60 years of being in the biz). I've made my way here now a few times and for whatever reason - Siri will only get me to the general area but just won't 'accept' Vitamia's specific/actual address. (I know I've 'arrived' when I see the crisscrossing of American and Italian flags at the start-and-end of the blocks denoting a very little Little Italy portion of the town.) And don't get me started on how jacked the entire length of Harrison Avenue is - causing my poor car's suspension and axle to suffer - or how much gas I usually waste when continually circling the block looking for a (legal) parking spot. Crankiness aside... for a small 'basic' deli they sure do pack a punch. An incredible selection of legit (crunchy) breads, a slew of prepared platters and meals in the refrigerated cases, all sorts of goodies hanging from hooks and then there's the freezer with an absurd amount of specialty ravioli, tortellini, tortelloni, mezzelune, cappelletti, gigante, agnolotti, fagottini... Two guys behind the counter (casually speaking Italian to each other) are able to keep up with all the foot traffic (that never seems to let up) and a few guys manning the ovens in the back that are continually refilling the metal bins by the cash register. (With 800 days of Duolingo under my belt I was tempted to try, "È delizioso. Mi dai la ricetta?" when leaving but flaked out and just went with, "Grazie mille!" which... fell flat.) Parking (as mentioned before) stinks. For every item I've tried and loved (stuffed breads, stuffed pastas) there's been a few that were major disappointments, unfortunately. Their pricing is a tad too rough on my wallet. On a prior visit I dropped over $80 and I made a mental not to not do that again. Most recent visit? Over $100. So, yeah... that's not good. (And just in case you give a hoot - Glenn Anzalone is better known by his stage name of 'Danzig'. Now go and crank some early Misfits songs and thank me later!)
