I've been here 3 times this week and haven't spent 20 bucks yet and this is a whole pie ! This place is the best . So gooood for real old school pizza no Buffalo or chicken bacon ranch garbage . Just regular and Sicilian. I love this place ..

Great pizza! The staff is very friendly! You can sitt and eat inside. Great atmosphere.

Walt and his son. Walt has made pizzas since around 1955. His son is there with him. And Walt's father is there in spirit.

I met Walt and his son. Walt is better than the 5 Star rating he earned. He makes the very best pizza. He knows what he is doing, beyond anything you can imagine. I don't say that lightly. You must go visit and try him and his pizza out. He has created, with his dear father who passed away, an institution as old school as can be. I live in CA, and I emptied my suitcase, tossed the clothes, took two pizzas back to the Bay Area. Why would I do that? I've visited 50 pizza places here. Only a few are worthy. Copolla has "guest cheffed" in one down in SF's Little Italy. LA has Wall Street Pizza. Not bad either. That guy cares too. But I got to say. Walt is my favourite. He knows his business. Please go and help him stay around for as long as possible. Protect Walt, his son, his father and their perfect slice. Thanks Walt. From San Francisco, Always, B

I came here recently with my fiancé. He grew up in Lodi and has been coming here his entire life. I've heard all sort of amazing and humble stories about this place. Its a family run place. The owners are really nice! They even remember my fiancé and his brother by their names. I got the regular one slice pizza, they got the Sicilian. There are no words. It's the best pizza I've had so far. Thin pizza is my kind of pizza. Thin crust, the sauce was amazing and I heard they make their own pizza sauce too. The price is also very cheap. Only 1.25$ for a regular one slice pizza. Due to Covid, you're not allowed to dine in. So it's take out only at the moment.

Sicilian, half pepperoni and half sausage and onions.

Grumpy's Sourdough Pizza Co. 522 Saddle River Rd…read more Saddle Brook, NJ 07663 Hot Honey Heaven Grumpy's Triple Threat Multiple people have reached out to me and suggested I explore this locally owned pizzeria located in the heart of Saddle Brook. As I entered the parlor, it is a hole in the wall with minimal seating and no AC unit. Regardless that it wasn't fancy, I still had a very gut instinct the quality of their pies was going to be on the money. When I arrived a weekday afternoon to place my order, the cashier informed me there will be a 40 minute wait. For the fact that the wait is this long indicates there are in demand and their pizza is top quality. I also saw framed plaques along their table counter showing they received positive media recognition from The Record, northjersey.com, and bestofnj.com. Hot Honey Heaven: I was initially skeptical about the appearance of this pie because it looks kind of messy. However, I took a single bite and was immediately hooked. This pie was topped with pepperoni, crispy chicken, and ricotta cheese. Mike's Hot Honey was generously poured over the top. It has a combination of sweet and spiciness. I never anticipated honey would enhance the flavor of the pie; I wish I requested an extra cup! Grumpy's Triple Threat: Named after the restaurant, this pie is prepared with pesto, grandma sauce, and pink tomato sauce. The sprinkled parmigiano reggiano added a nice touch. I especially liked the artistic appearance. The three colors were visually appealing, especially with the swirls of pesto. All pies are prepared with their signature sourdough pizza crust. Each slice had a perfect undercarriage and a firm crunch. Customers have the option to bake the pies may light, medium, or well-done. I chose medium because a majority of the customer base prefers this style. As a bonus, Grumpy's offer complimentary crust upgrades. I opted to add garlic butter brush; the outer crust edge was literally brushed with hot, garlic-infused butter. While it is common to throw away the top portion of the pizza, the upgrade is definitely an incentive to eat the crust. San Marzano tomatoes are the primary ingredient for the sauce. It's not overly sweet and has a light tang. This pizzeria is geared for take out, but there are plenty of benches only minutes away at Saddle River County Park. You can enjoy your pie while admiring the beautiful scenery of the park. The parking lot has limited spaces, but you can easily find a spot on the street. Grumpy's may be a hole in the wall, but the pizza was outstanding. I'm really exuberant that I had a pristine experience exploring sourdough crust for the first time! I was far from "grumpy" after dining here! #grumpys #grumpyssourdoughpizzaco #grumpystriplethreat #hothoneyheaven

I would've liked to try a nacho slice. The worst slice I tried was the vodka. It was so dry and hard to chew. My guess is that it was overcooked. (It felt like I waited a while for my slices to be warmed.) I unfortunately got a chicken chimi slice even though I ordered beef. I asked what was on the chimi slice before ordering and the employee started listing so much I forgot! I think the beef would've been better than the chicken; the chicken didn't add much flavor. My favorite slice was the salami and plantains. Never would've thought this would be good! The plantains were really sweet, very good! They have tables inside and outside for eating there. Parking is right in front but it's a small lot.

The crust is thin with a sesame sprinkled crust and it was so good that I even ate every single bite of it, which is unusual for me. The oxtail was so flavorful and rich with the cheeses (mozzerella, Parmesan and goat cheese), meat, hot honey and spinach. The ladies asked if I wanted cilantro on top, which was the perfect add of even more flavor. They were so sweet and welcoming. Parking in downtown Englewood can be tough but I took the side street behind the row of stores and found the back entrance to Wahizza. I'm not sure if that's allowed but it made the pizza pick up a very quick and convenient experience. I plan on eating in next time bc the inside was so cute and looked very comfortable. We started the lunch with blackened Octopus with mango salad (appetizer special of the day), that was a really good dish. The clams casino was an interesting, baked top on a citrusy sauce. The disappointing part of the lunch was the mediocre service. Even though I mentioned it was a birthday celebration in the reservation, no one bothered to wish or ask us if we were celebrating anything. Our server only had to attend our table, yet he only came by three times, once to ask us about water, then to take our order, and once after our appetizers were served. Half of the time he invisible and rest of the time he was just hanging out by the register area stairs, chit chatting with other staff members. We refilled our own water and had to grab other stuff members to get extra plates and utensils. I was super annoyed to pay premium price only to experience a diner like service. I didn't even bother to order the Zeppole from the dessert menu. I paid the check and we walked out as quickly as we could.
