Curioni's is known for their Sicilian pie, so that is what we ordered. We went with half mushroom, and half cheese. It was a little cold by the time we took it home and ate it, but nothing a toaster oven couldn't fix. It was a solid pie. We also tried the Philly cheesesteak, which was only okay. There was something about the cheese they used, which had a weird, processed aftertaste. The meat was surprisingly tender, despite it looking dry/tough. For these prices, you really can't beat it. I think we paid $39 for a pie, and two large sandwiches. Next time, I'll have to try their chicken/meatball parm, and maybe the regular pie. Family owned, cash only places are the best lol. Ordered a Sicilian with pepperoni and asked if he had any single plain slices. Didn't have any unfortunately so we made two of the Sicilian slices pepperoni-less lol. Perfecto. The pizza is huge and only $16?? Gave a tip for their hard work and appreciate how friendly they were in this short one minute experience. The pizza? Delicious, good flavors and well cooked. The ultimate old school eatery. I'm not sure if I'm ready to call this place a "pizzeria" but it's terrific nonetheless. When you walk into Curioni's, you'll notice that there's A LOT going on behind the counter. There's a grill; there's a sandwich station; there's an area where coffee/tea is probably being prepared... and obviously there pizza ovens. "Cash Only" signs everywhere. My two slices and a can of soda was about $3 and change. I ate my slices at the bar like counter and the gentleman next to me struck up conversation with "hey man, you gamble?" I met Walt and his son. Walt is better than the 5 Star rating he earned. He makes the very best pizza. He knows what he is doing, beyond anything you can imagine. I don't say that lightly. You must go visit and try him and his pizza out. He has created, with his dear father who passed away, an institution as old school as can be. I live in CA, and I emptied my suitcase, tossed the clothes, took two pizzas back to the Bay Area. Why would I do that? I've visited 50 pizza places here. Only a few are worthy. Copolla has "guest cheffed" in one down in SF's Little Italy. LA has Wall Street Pizza. Not bad either. That guy cares too. But I got to say. Walt is my favourite. He knows his business. I came here recently with my fiancé. He grew up in Lodi and has been coming here his entire life. I've heard all sort of amazing and humble stories about this place. Its a family run place. The owners are really nice! They even remember my fiancé and his brother by their names. I got the regular one slice pizza, they got the Sicilian. There are no words. It's the best pizza I've had so far. Thin pizza is my kind of pizza. Thin crust, the sauce was amazing and I heard they make their own pizza sauce too. The price is also very cheap. Not a real restaurant, this is an old house, with a counter, no tables, chairs or seats, no menus, just a man who told us they only have square slices and the regular slices will take a while. The "old man" as she rudely stated is a wonderful man and has been serving his local community even though he was not well towards the final days of this place closing its doors. This clearly shows his love and respect for all of us patrons. These ratings are from real customers from all over the United States that have heard of Walt's pizza from word of mouth. When the pandemic hit they stopped having the eat in service and focused only on pizzas to go. If you're a regular customer you would already know this. I'm pretty sure I had this place as kid like 30 years ago, I think they've been open almost 100 years? but it's very vague I'm getting older so I can't remember what I had there back then lol I want to say back then it was a corner candy store (even though it's not on a corner) and ice cream shop but also made pizza? I guess over the years they have just went the route of pizza..no tables, just a counter and I think there used to be stools there to sit at? M-T they are open until 4 pm, I don't even get home from work until that time and Friday they give you until 7-730, Saturday the site says 6 pm so you better get your pizzas early! Between this and cash only which I use plastic for practically everything created the problem of actually getting a pizza here until last night lol it was worth it though the price for a good size 12 slice Sicilian pie and a can of Coke was 13.75?! I love finding these 1960's prices places esp the ones that good! I'm guessing they do breakfast but I can't find a breakfast menu just lunch/dinner one by the looks I'm guessing you can grab a coffee and an egg sandwich. The pizza was perfect size and cooked good, I asked for well done, it could've had a few more minutes in the oven but it was good enough! My real only complaint was it felt like it was missing something taste wise, not sure what it was but maybe a sausage or pepperoni pie would solve maybe even some garlic powder..regardless it was solid. By far best pizza around. I went to grammar school at St. Francis on Union and across the street from Curionis pizza in the 70's. and used to go for snow cones and pizza. I've been eating at this pizza place for almost twenty years and it's still my favorite. It is a small family owned business. They are all extremely friendly and always remember their customers. This place is cash only. The inside small and so is their menu. But everything that is on the menu is delicious. They have pizza, basic toppings, a few types of sandwiches, and breakfast. They even have some chips and candy. They are in a great location as they are right across the street from an elementary school so all the kids are always here after school. I was pleasantly surprised by the pizza here. I've lived right around the corner from this pizza joint for two years and didn't know it existed until I looked on yelp. I decided to support some local biz and pop in on a Friday night for a slice to go. Inside, is a cross between a convenience shop/deli. It took a lot of self control to not buy some scratchers while waiting for my pizza. Amongst the pizza and scratchers, I noticed they also offered burgers and sandwiches. I wouldn't really recommend dining in, the place has limited seating and extremely warm inside (no AC, only fans.) Unfortunately, they only had plain for individual slices left. I normally like some type of topping on my pizza but decided to just go with it. You can't really beat two slices for $3. The pizza itself was a good size, had a nice crunch to it, and wasn't too doughy.
