I absolutely loved the burrata salad, but I thought the fish dip was a tad too fishy for me. For our entrees, most of the table got the red fish and the other two got the steak and the pasta. We all devoured the red fish! It was so delicious and a good portion. Others in my pastry weren't fans of the pasta, but the steak was one of the best I've ever tasted. From the service to the food to the ambiance, this place is one of my favorites I've ever dined at! I can't wait to come back!

I usually post on another site but someone suggested this was easier so I'm giving it a try. I am recently retired and looking to help others. That being said I give this restaurant 5 stars. I actually have never liked Mexican food until last night. Great chicken fajitas and my wife enjoyed her vegetarian quesadilla. We sat at the bar to grab my signature drink, jack Daniels on the rocks and decided to stay at the bar because of the wonderful service we received there. Brunette with a genuine smile and hospitality towards us. We were warmly welcomed and there is a high level of customer service here that you really don't find at many places. This is your typical Mexican restaurant - the food is good and during the summer it is packed. What stood out was the excellent service from our waiter, Hector. He was very personable and attentive. We had a friend show up after we ordered our food. He noticed and immediately came to our table to take her order and was able to rush it in so her food came out at the same time as ours. He joked that he had to steal somebody else's order but I am sure he just worked with the kitchen to make it happen. The place and our waiter was very busy but we never felt rushed and our waiter was always calm and attentive. I hope he is there when we go back next year- he made our night! Let me start by saying that this is one of the biggest comebacks in the Restaurant world!!! I went to La Cocina awhile back and said I think this is my last time. I found out they were making some changes with the menu and other management decisions and BOY AM I GLAD I GAVE THEM ANOTHER TRY!!! Please treat yourself, it is not what you have had before. It is better in every way. The menu is very creative and diverse and has tremendous flair and taste. Our waitress Ally could not have been sweeter or better. I love La Cocina and go as much as I can. I went there on the evening of 5/31 and just have to give a shout out to the bar staff. The wait staff at La Cocina is always awesome but I just wanted to give kudos to the bar staff there this evening. Most often then not when one sits in the bar area of a resturant you have to do all but cartwheels to get the bar staffs attention. Not at La Cocina. The staff was attentive and worked like a well oiled machine. Unfortunately, this was a pretty disappointing experience. We were hoping for flavorful, authentic Mexican food, but everything we ordered was incredibly bland, no spice, no depth, just very underwhelming. Only thing we enjoyed was the street corn. The service was ok, our server was polite and brought everything out in a timely manner, so no complaints there. But the interior of the restaurant didn't do much to help the experience.
