The current General Manager COURTNEY is, without question, the worst I've encountered. COURTNEY is arrogant, dismissive, and completely incapable of taking accountability or resolving even the simplest customer concerns. Instead of de-escalating situations, COURTNEY makes them worse. It's shocking that someone with such poor customer service and leadership skills is managing a business built on client relationships. This location has destroyed the reputation of a brand I was once happy to support. I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at this nail salon, and I must say it was far from satisfactory. Despite being a returning customer with no prior issues, this visit left me utterly dismayed. I came in for a simple acrylic removal and dip. The technician assigned to me seemed utterly careless and incompetent. Not only did he cut my nails excessively short, causing me immediate discomfort and even bleeding, but he repeated the mistake even after I voiced my concerns. It wasn't until my fingers were bleeding that he finally took notice, hastily attempting to remedy the situation with super glue and repeated apologies. Realizing his own incompetence, he called for another technician to salvage the situation. Thankfully, she was more professional and competent, promptly correcting the botched job. However, the damage had been done, and my fingers were left sore and sensitive due to the unnecessary trauma they had endured. Upon settling my bill and informing the front desk of the ordeal, I overheard discussions of a supposed 30% discount to compensate for the appalling experience. However, to my dismay, the discount applied to my receipt was a mere 10%, which I find utterly unacceptable given the severity of the situation. While I appreciate the efforts of the technician who rectified the initial blunder, the measly discount offered does not remotely compensate for the discomfort and distress I experienced. As a result, I have serious doubts about returning to this establishment in the future. read more

Today I booked a pedicure for my boyfriend and I. Hoping to have a fun, relaxing experience . I use to come to Lacquer Nails before they switched locations and their service was top tier. I remember coming because I enjoyed getting a complimentary glass of champagne specifically. This time I had a horrible experience. While our nail techs were AMAZING and super sweet and accommodating- the girls at the front desk gave us horrible service- they forgot our Mimosas that we HAD to request, and when they did come out it was STRAIGHT Tampico - I don't feel like they even added champagne. When I asked for them to just give us champagne they said we don't offer champagne only when their COMPLIMENTARY DRINK OPTIONS were White whine, Red Wine, Non alcoholic beverages and so on. It's really sad because we weren't asking for much other than a fun experience - I feel like this use to be such a great space and once they started hiring OUT the service went to ass. I will not be coming back here and for MY BOYFRIEND to say that was unprofessional and rude is ridiculous. Not to mention, the type of clientele they have in that salon is unacceptable- they allow people to talk on the PHONE ON SPEAKER using profanity while OTHERS try to have a luxurious relaxing experience. I drive 25 just because of the yelp reviews and the receptionist who helped and listened to my needs. Answering and assisting every question then to get here with same day appointment . Let me also mention ,I was setting up 3 full set appointments and booked appts at 930 am; appts for 3peopke at 12, it's 140 and we're all done. Complimentary drinks . 1st time at this salon a couple days ago, the first nail tech was awesome! I needed to go back today and the salon welcomed me with open arms! The staff was very professional and took care of my issue right away, very courteous and went the extra mile for me! I felt like royalty! I am very pleased the the nails and I can have a smile for everyday now. Granite my nails aren't the best (I have my father's nails) however they did a superb job and made everything more than perfect! My new favorite nail salon! This place is so awesome! They always offer drinks (mimosas, teas, coffee, water, juice) They are so nice here and take walk-ins but I usually make appointments before I come. They have a lot of nail techs so it's not hard getting in to get your nails done. I will say that their pedicures are on the pricy side but I need my toes done once in a while so I splurge for it. My nails always look good, I've had several of their nail techs and they are always nice and do really good. I regularly go to Van though, and she always rocks it. I always have different designs I want and she gets excited to do them and they're so pretty. read more

My experience at this salon was absolutely wonderful! The girls at the front desk were so helpful with me. I don't get my nails done often and they answered all of my questions and explained everything! My nail tech was so gentle and patient with me as well! They really took their time with my pedicure and gel mani! This place also offers a range of free complimentary beverages! I was able to enjoy my pedicure with a free mimosa! How lovely! This place was honestly a huge letdown. The front desk staff -- especially Kaylee -- were rude and completely unprofessional. I had a scheduled appointment, but still had to wait around with no explanation. Then, when they finally got to me, I was rushed through like I was an inconvenience. I tried asking Kaylee a question, and she straight-up ignored me because she was too busy on her phone. Seriously? lacquer nails is my new go to place. I don't think I have been happier with the outcome with my nails. I was in a week and a half ago and got my nails done and I wasn't happy. I posted a review and immediately the manager gave me a call back and offered to fix it for free. I just left my appointment with Kim she made my nails look amazing and I will definitely be going back. The atmosphere is nice. Everybody is super polite. In love with this place! I was looking for a place to do my possible engagement nails, and they delivered! I went to Angela and she did exactly as I requested. I wanted a classy, simple and clean acrylic set. She listened to my request and delivered perfectly not to mention was the sweetest. I am very happy with my nails. Services were great quality. My mani tech was Liam her was very personable and Stephanie was my pedi tech. I did wait 25min after my appointment time, however the staff keeping my updated and make sure I was comfortable. Complimentary drinks were a plus. Owners Lee and Christina own a beautiful nail salon, right in the heart of Tempe, AZ. From start to finish, their staff takes care of your every need. I drive from Chandler to Tempe to get my nails and toes done. Kung Fu is my nail tech but I have seen amazing work from all of the technicians. The staff is so friendly , they even offer you a glass of wine or a mimosas. The facility is very nice and clean. They have lots of pedicure chairs so they can accommodate large parties. If you have a special design that you like just show a picture and they can recreate. Hands down the best place in the valley for your nails and feet. read more

I came in for a fill and a design in mind. Elaine looked at the photo then looked at me and asked "can I free hand?" Thank god I said yes because she seriously impressed me. Everyone smiled & was welcoming, from the one gentleman up front to the woman who gave me the pedicure & then the lady who answered the phone. This seems like something super simple, but I've been to nail salons where they are just not NICE. They are there to do the job but do not incorporate kindness & customer service...at a service-oriented business. Many nail techs seem like they REALLY dislike their jobs. And if you question how they're doing something to your hands or feet, or even ask?! They often act insulted. It's a fine line to tread. When it shouldn't be. I chose the VIP pedicure - see the menu! I always get builder gel, and this is the most reasonably priced place I have been to in Tempe where I'm also consistently getting perfect nails. I hate making small talk, and I love that none of the techs force it or make me feel rude because I'm awkward. If a price is changing due to a service change I'm making, it's always explained to me. I have heard Nancy clearly explain pricing to other customers as well, and she is always very polite about it all(even when some people are rude to her for no real reason). I think Nancy is the owner and while she doesn't do my nails, it's pretty clear that the other techs like working for her, which is important to me because it makes the overall vibe of the salon very welcoming and relaxing. I can always count on my nails being done quickly without them being rushed, and quality is 10/10 every single time! I am bad at taking pictures though so I'm sorry I don't have examples! My current set is over 3 weeks old and only two nails are broken, but that is because I work in retail and use those two nails as tools, so BareCoat cannot be faulted at all. I will continue to come here as long as my bank account allows!

this is the worst nail salon in the valley. please do not come here. i went yesterday to get a fill…read moreand when the service was done, i saw acrylic left under my nails, the shape was really off, the nails were chunky and just overall not good quality. i didnt say anything, paid and left, which was my mistake entirely and i also was running late to get somewhere. called back this morning and spoke to a lady, she told me to go back in and they could fix them or i could get a refund. i have a lot of events coming up so i said, i will come back in during my lunch and get them fixed. i got there and the manager, daniel, takes one look and begins berating me saying they look just fine and ultimately makes me cry, BLAMES ME because i "bite my nails" which has never been an issue before at other locations! and i told him if the tech could not do my nails due to the side walls being bitten, why did he not suggest taking off the set and doing a new set? i would have been more than happy to pay for that than getting bad work. after he had already made me cry, he said"we can fix them but you dont get a refund". sherrie then stepped in and tried to fix them, thank you to her. she tried her best but the nails still dont look good. the nails along with treatment i got from the manager is enough for me to never step foot in that salon ever again.
