I set up here to work for a bit while on a work trip. It was perfect. The space was bright, there's plenty of seating, and my Americano was delicious! The staff was kind and helpful!

This place has really good coffee and great vibes, I like the location, it overlooks the train tracks and is very peaceful, butttt it's a touch expensive for what it is. I got a honey lavender latte and it was fantastic but 8 dollars for a coffee (before tip) was a little steep for it not being anything particularly special. Service was awesome! Would definitely come back if I was in this part of town again!

I'm new to the area, and this is my favorite coffee shop I've tried in Spokane so far! I got a honey latte with hemp milk (first time trying hemp milk and it was lovely), and the scrambled egg toast. Both were delicious. All of the baristas are so friendly and sweet, and were very ok with me staying several hours to study. The color scheme and decor are beautiful and I enjoyed their music selection too. I live in Pullman but will definitely be making the trip back here on the weekends to study!

Friendly barista, the sizes were quite small but overall not bad. The matcha was not very sweet around a 4/10 on sweetness scale. The environment of the establishment was very clean and happy.

Great study spot, a super cute interior, and the service is very fast. Nothing really stands out with this cafe but everything is really beautiful. There's a lot of green and natural light from the windows. They have some seasonal drinks which is always nice. Prices are pretty standard not too expensive or not very cheap. They have a couple of bigger tables and a handful of small tables. There is also a bathroom out in the hallway. Ladder Coffee has a free parking lot that is connected to a plant shop (Fern).

I met a colleague here before our meeting, Ladder Coffee Roasters is perfect for anyone seeking a place to enjoy great coffee and complete work. The service was excellent, and the coffee is exceptional!! When working in Spokane I will definitely return, and highly recommend!

Love the vibe here. It's right next door to a well-known bakery, Rind & Wheat, and I hope that means they use their bread/pastries whenever possible! Came in at the end of Oct. Seats inside we're still open and we managed to snag a table by the windows to get some sunshine. The one thing I will say here is blinds or some shade for my eyes would have been nice (blinds/curtains just up top or shaded glass on the top so it wasn't as blinding). The bread was super thick and fluffy. I would venture to say it is indeed from Rind & Wheat, but if I'm wrong, their bread supplier is fantastic. My toast had fresh heirloom cherry tomatoes. His had an egg and pickled onions. I unfortunately don't remember the names of either. 5/5 for the one with the egg. Mine was really good but 4/5 because I was hoping for a little something to cut the flavors. Like balsamic vinegar or something salty. Really, this is me being nit-picky. I don't drink coffee but they had a good variety of teas available. This place is super cute and reminds me of coffee shops on the west side of the state, or maybe even Portland. Loved the decor and the vibe. They had seats marked off to keep people distanced. It's a weird time. I hope they make it through to the other side of this pandemic. We're almost there.

Atticus Coffee and Gifts combines two of my favorite things: a great gift shop and a great coffee…read moreshop. And out of all the new businesses I visited in 2025, this was my favorite. (Unfortunately I literally live on the other side of the country, so before my trip to Spokane ended I made it a point to stop by Atticus multiple times.) The gift shop portion of the store stocks what feels like a little bit of everything. Books, stickers, soaps, lotions, trinkets, home decor, t-shirts, art, books, cards, chocolates...and that's just what I remember! And then the coffee shop portion has a surprisingly large menu. I'm used to coffee shops in stores being more like small coffee stands; but nope, this operation feels like a fully stocked coffee shop. Plus they also serve tea, matcha, and smoothies...and breakfast sandwiches, AND pastries. As you might imagine: this all makes the store smell quite good! There aren't a ton of seats but when I visited with family, we managed to find a couple tables so we could enjoy our drinks and snacks sitting down. Their coffee is very, very tasty - I tried both hot and iced lattes during my multiple visits. I didn't have tea on-site but I did buy some of their blends to brew at home, and they are also very, very tasty. Unfortunately they don't do online sales, and since I was traveling I didn't have the space to pack up everything I wanted to take home with me. Maybe future me will have the chance to come back...in the meantime, I hope you lucky locals appreciate this place as much as I did!

When we arrived, the customer service at the bar for pickup was just as great--smooth, efficient, and genuinely pleasant. The food definitely delivered. The pretzel was excellent, paired with a crazy good mustard that took it to another level. I ordered the curry, and it was a fantastic dish--rich, flavorful, and downright delicious. My daughter had the kids spaghetti with chicken added, and she confidently declared it the best spaghetti she's ever had... so there! Overall, a great experience with standout service and tasty food. I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu before giving that fifth star.

Indaba didn't just check the boxes, it made me wonder why every coffee shop doesn't operate this way. Walk in and the space stops you. Exposed brick, warm wood, art on every wall, and a ceiling that opens up the whole room. The seating runs from cozy couches to high tops to proper tables. no bad seat in the house. Outlets everywhere. A conference room available to rent. Whoever designed this place actually thought about the people using it. The staff made us feel welcome without trying too hard. That's a skill. We ordered hot and iced mochas and both were dialed in. My wife went bacon avocado toast, creamy avocado against crispy bacon, exactly right. I had the sunbutter banana toast and almost ordered a second one. We grabbed an apple fritter to go. It didn't survive the drive. The background music hits just right, easy listening layered under the natural buzz of a full, happy room. Prices are exactly what you'd expect to pay for coffee done well. Before you leave, browse the retail wall. Solid selection of beans to take home, plus some genuinely cute goods worth picking up. This place has real soul. You'll feel it.

Hatch beaker + burr transcends all of these. I never expected that I would find one of the best lattes I've ever tasted in Spokane of all places after being a Portland/Seattle coffee elitist. The seasonal dulce de leche iced latte was so strong in the best way and brought me back to life with how flavorful it was. Seven dollars even and worth every penny. You can see in the attached photos that I really tried to get every drop of the drink. It was so good that I got another latte to go (cardamom), also so so good. Everything else: cute space with lots of plants and two tables (but other seating available in the commons), barista who is clearly very knowledgeable about every part of the coffee and actually likes making the drinks. Really nice service and you get updated on your drink even when it's busy which is nice, I've never had that in other cafes. I really can't reiterate how amazing this coffee was. Must try if you have not, and if you have you definitely already know.

It was fairly busy when we came in, but there was no line at the counter, and it didn't take long for our drinks to come out. There's plenty of seating inside, and everybody seems in a good mood and everybody seems like they're having a good time. They were also baking some kind of bread, and it just smelled absolutely incredible. Although I didn't have any. They also do this thing where they give people... At least certain people... Free coffee. Which I thought was really cool and really generous of them. So why four stars instead of five? And this isn't exactly their fault, but parking sucks. It's street parking, there's a meter, there is a lot but it's confusing and the rules are confusing. So if you're walking from somewhere else this place is great, if you're driving in to meet for coffee it's a little bit annoying, if you just want to stop in and get something to go, it's going to be a big hassle.
