Very amazing restaurant with a cozy interior and excellent food. It's in a random part of Sunnyvale that errs more residential. It's easy to ignore if you don't go looking for it. I ordered the chicken tikka masala, the crazy curry fries, and a mango lassi. I was fully knocked out. The chai at the register is also so delicious and free, you should definitely grab some if you can! It's piping hot and perfectly spiced. The chicken tikka masala itself comes with a delicious flaky naan that's similar to Chinese scallion pancake. It pairs perfectly with the dish itself. The crazy curry fries were also so good and saucy. I was so happy that we were splitting this dish six ways, because I would not have any space to try it had I gone individually. My friend got the Tikka Burger, and he was knocked OUT. It looked so amazing and smelled divine. We also got the yogurt dip to share, and it was so savory and creamy. I'd recommend this to anyone in the area who wants to try some amazing Pakistani food.
I live so close to here and didn't realize there's a Pakistani place amidst the businesses and neighborhoods. My friend recommended Lados for their Zinger burger. The chicken is perfectly fried and spiced. It comes with masala fries which were also really yummy as well. I ordered to go as I needed to go somewhere, and smelling it the whole car ride got me so excited to try -- and it didn't disappoint. While you're waiting for your food, they have complimentary chai near the cash register. The inside has ample seating and there's also lit outdoor seating as well too. The parking lot is on the smaller side, but there's also street parking as well! About 10 or so minute wait for the food. Happy with my experience overall!
A Pakistani fast food restaurant, serving mostly snacks. They have a limited offering of curries and biryanis. I liked their crispy wings and the churros. The dahi papdi chat got a bit soft and soggy but still flavorful. We went on the Eid ul Adha day and chai was complementary, not sure if this is everyday. In this unlabeled restaurant on the corner of a residential area you'll find huge portions and flavor town! I ordered: - a sample of the chai at the register: piping hot and the perfect balance of tea tannins, rich milk, and light sugar - mango lassi: I liked this better than zareens with the subtle addition of saffron!! Heads up that some cups may still be icy from storage so it will need to sit - crazy curry fries: delicous sweet and sour and cheesy sauce on top of a HUGE pile of fries - need to share this as it's best eaten piping hot - shahi paneer wrap: flaky paratha surrounds a sauce laden pile of opinions, mixed vegetables, and paneer. The paratha was incredible but the sauce was a little too close to thousand island dressing for me and filling had too high a ratio of onions and veggies for me. Next time I'll get the *platter* of curry so I can also have delicious paratha, chole, and rice Logistics: - indoor and covered by roof outdoor seating - big tables good for groups - small parking lot next door, don't mind the old cars at the end - the restaurant is unmarked so follow your nose!
The definition of a hole in the wall restaurant. Few broken cars in the parking lot but the fried chicken here is amazing!! Make sure to come hungry because one zinger sandwich can feed 2 people or one person until you're absolutely stuffed! The fried chicken here is unique as they have some curry seasoning in the batter and the chicken is always perfectly fried and juicy. - Zinger sandwich - 5/5 - juicy and fried to perfection - Zinger paratha wrap - 5/5 - if you're not feeling to get stuffed and want something lighter this is perfect - Dahi puri - 4/5 - can be jarring if you weren't expecting it to be cold. But it's an absolute delicious flavor bomb. I haven't had this at other restaurants before so not sure how it compares. You order at the counter and the food comes out within 5-10 minutes so it's pretty fast. Best to dine in while the chicken is still hot and crispy. Definitely recommend if you're in the mood for some delicious fried chicken sandwiches!
Came in for a late afternoon snack, we ordered dahi poori to share. It was super flavorful and perfectly spiced. We stopped by around 5:30/6pm on a Saturday, it was pretty quiet with only a couple of customers. The service was quick and I liked their complimentary chai. Would love to try their wraps and other menu items next time.
Perhaps my expectations were too high prior to coming to this place after reading some of the Yelp reviews on here. We arrived at around 6:30pm on a Friday. The inside of the restaurant was fairly empty -- there were only 2 other parties, one finishing up their meal and another who just arrived. Despite the downtime, the tables were still extremely dirty and uncleaned. Upon entering to use the bathroom, it was also very much unkept. The ordering process is straightforward -- you order at the cashier, get a number, and bring it back to your table. While we only ordered 3 items: the zinger burger, a wrap, and a side of masala fries, the total came out to be $40 before tip. Quite high for the rugged ambiance here but I was fine with it. Here's the hoping the food makes up for it. The food came fairly quickly. The zinger burger is what they're known for. Crispy, well-seasoned (though a bit too salty for me). It came with a side salad which tasted just like the masala sauce on top of the fries lol. Very redundant in flavors but moving on to the wrap now. The minced beef wrap was wrapped in paratha and tasted like an old school style Del Taco deluxe taco or something. Delicious with some lettuce, tomatoes, and the grated cheap yellow cheddar cheese but nothing extraordinary. Lastly, I want to talk about the fries. I'm very curious as to why the fries have been changing again and again throughout the time that Lados has been in business lol. I wasn't so lucky this time and the fries were the soggy, starchy kind, which was made even soggier from the sauces. A while ago, I saw the fries were the crinkle cut ones. Then even before that, they were the skinny, crispy kind. In my opinion, this is a good option for halal food, but as for me, I don't think my experience justifies another visit back.
So good we went 2 days in a row while visiting the area. We got the wrap, their most popular item and we did not like it. It was too soggy with all the sauce. No texture to anything, all mush. The fries, however, were unlike anything I have ever had. We also got the Tikka Masala and really enjoyed it. The naan was like toasty, almost croissant flaky like, it was super special. My 9 year old had the chicken tenders and he never eats real chicken. He LOVED it.
We have been to this place several times and the food never disappoints. Service is relatively fast, but the food comes out fresh, so no complaints from me. You can tell from the outside of the building this isn't a fine dining establishment, but what they lack in decor and ambience they make up for it with their food. Definitely worth the try!
We came here around 2:30pm on a Sunday and there were a couple tables finishing up their meal. We got seated first and went up to the counter to place our order. My partner and I both got the Zinger burger but I swapped out the regular fries for the lados fries. Our friend got the 3pc chicken tenders and he actually enjoyed it so much that he went up and placed another order of the chicken tenders. I first tried the Zinger wrap from this place awhile ago and I really enjoyed it and since my boyfriend raves about the Zinger burger, I decided to try it this time. I think overall, I still prefer the wrap more because the burger is quite big and heavy to eat. I really liked the lados fries and my Canadian boyfriend compared it to poutines. I do want to note that the lados fries got pretty heavy after awhile and I much preferred the regular fries after that. The mango lassi was also really good, and you can really taste the ginger in it. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal and my time dining here. Highly recommend people to get the zinger wrap or the zinger burger!
This place is awesome! Pakistani street food? Yes please. It's located in a very unsuspecting residential neighborhood. Smaller place with outdoor and indoor seating. Service was great and very fast for freshly cooked food. Highly recommend! We love the flavors at this place.
Have been coming here for a while. The food is always very tasty, specially the meat items. I personally like their Zinger burger and Shami kabab. They also have lunch combos which have generous portions. Service is relatively fast and friendly. Be sure to have some chai with your food.
Very low key, in older days we would refer to them as a dive, it is super causal, friendly, family oriented restaurant. The staff is super friendly and helpful. You order at the counter, get a buzzer and you get notified when your order is ready. We ordered the weekend special chicken biryani, curry fries and chicken tikka masala. The food was ready in about 7-10min max. The restaurant got packed by the time we were leaving. The food was delicious home cooked style meal and we truly enjoyed the experience. The spices came through deliciously and the chicken in the rice and in masala were very soft. Must admit that the fried chicken entrees were a major hit at all other tables and we will definitely order it next as it seems very crunchy. The portions are decent as well. We will definitely be back.

It's a little hard to find this place, definitely rely on your maps to get here. This is the only place in US so far where I have had fried chicken that tastes very close to KFC back in India! That's definitely the must try at this place. Their paratha wraps are also pretty good. The ambiance and service can be improved a bit though. read more

5 stars for a fun food adventure! We ordered: The Zinger This was the BEST. Super crispy chicken, saucy, right amount of lettuce, and nice and messy when you eat it. I would have liked a firmer bun because the bottom bun was falling apart but other than that Chicken Tenders with zinger sauce and mango habanero sauce 3 big chicken breast tenders with sauces! I wasn't hungry but the warm fresh crispness called to me one of the pieces got a bit soggy in the corner but it was still yummy. The fry was VERY crispy crunchy, and somehow very light! Crazy curry fries The flavors are excellent and mesh well together! Every bite tasted a bit different! It's yummiest fresh when the fries are still a little crispy. After a while, it gets soft because of the sauces... which makes total sense. Maybe next time I'll just get reg fries and sauce on the side because I like crispy fries! Presentation was pretty cool! Can we chaat? My wife heard about Lados so we decided to tikka drive to Sunnyvale to fry it out. Lados is a revelation. My Tikka Burger was amazing. Tandoori is a fave so why not dress the chicken with tikka sauce and make a sandwich- add a Mango Lassi and let the bun times roll. Her Zinger Burger took the same approach to fried chicken with Pakistani spices. Brilliant. Paratha wraps next time. read more

My husband and I had dinner today at Lados and this place serves hands down the best Pakistani-Indian food ever. We had the bomb Kabab burger, chicken paratha wrap and lados fries. The Kabab burger is one of the juiciest and the tastiest beef burger We've ever had. The chicken paratha wrap is so soft and tasty, simply perfect. Now the lados fries, the best we've ever had. We both love fries and when we say these are the best, we mean it. The sweet and soury topping over well cooked crispy fries sprinkled with some tasty masala on the top was really good. The red tent with lights gave a nice cute vibe to outdoor eating. These folks truly deserve a restaurant of their own. Will visit again for sure. read more

Tried Lados yesterday after the one time I tried it years ago. We ordered at the restaurant for takeaway and the food came a bit later than promised. I tried the crisper whisper which is a nice and juicy fried chicken tender burger. I really liked it but since I'm a big fan of the Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich, it fell just a little bit short. They have a nice outdoor seating area that I might try next time. I'll be back to try the other items on their menu. read more

Lados is a Pakistani and Indian restaurant that started in 2018 as a food truck, but they're coming up on the 1 year anniversary of opening up their permanent restaurant. They're serving up a variety of halal food including chicken sandwiches, paratha wraps, chicken wings, curry dishes, and others. This was my first time going, and I tried The Zinger. It's a piece of Pakistani fried chicken topped with cheese, lettuce, and their zinger sauce inside of a sesame seed bun. It also comes with a side of seasoned fries. The first thing I noticed is just how big the sandwich is. It's probably the biggest chicken sandwich I've ever had, and it's can definitely be enough to split if you're not feeling super hungry, especially with the fries. The breading is a little spicy (probably medium) and a perfect amount: thin but still enough to be crunchy. The chicken itself is juicy. Right now, in addition to order ahead pickup, they also offer outside dining. It's a covered area with 6 tables and string lights. They aren't doing table service though, so you order at a tablet then wait for your order which you can take to go or hang out at one of their tables. Lados is delicious and relatively affordable (only $10.99 for a huge chicken sandwich and fries), so I'm definitely planning to go back and try some of their other items. read more
Wow super surprised by how good the food is here! The Zinger is one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I've had, ever. Wouldn't have expected that from a Pakistani food truck. The Zinger is huge (plan to share or have leftovers), perfectly deep fried and tender dark meat inside, flavored with a light and surprisingly complementing curry flavor. The crazy curry fries sounded great but don't do well after a drive home. The fried chicken (non sandwich) and samosa chaat are also excellent. The wait can be long though, so call ahead. read more

Came here after hearing so many good things about it and didn't leave disappointed. I got a complementary cup of tea which was so good and I ordered this plate from the picture below. Didn't know what it was but based on their pictures I chose this and wasn't disappointed. It was soooo good and sooo creamy, made with love. We've come here 4-5x ever since our friends introduced Lados to us a few months ago. We ordered their zinger paratha wrap and kebob bomb burger tonight. The wrap is something we always get, they use the same chicken/sauces as the zinger burger and place it into this deeeelicious paratha (flatbread). Just look at that chicken to wrap ratio! Definitely make sure you have some napkins around. It was my first time getting the kebob bomb burger and the burger patty itself was full of spices and flavors - my husband really liked it but I think it was a bit overpowering for me. The bottom slice of bread was also too soggy by the time we drove it back home, couldn't lift it up without it falling apart :( We've tried their zinger burger, crisper whisper burger, and tika masala - all of which are delicious. Also like the seasoning on their fries! The last two trips we've made here (both on a Friday night), they have been extremely busy so we did have to wait a bit longer than our quoted time on the phone order, so just a note on that in case you are famished! I had a great date this past Saturday. My cousin wanted to hangout w/ Gavin then take him to a birthday party for close to 6 hours. I was lost because I typically go workout but I didn't want to go to the gym again. After my adventure at Barnes and Nobles, I was in need of some dinner. I Yelped but I knew I would be driving here. I looked up their hours and menu 2 nights prior. I knew exactly what I would be ordering even though when I was at the truck, I was a bit confused because I wanted to try everything. Service was great. Accepts cash and cards. Food is made fresh so it might take some time but whilst you wait you should enjoy the cars driving and people watch. I was surprised to see quite a few walking by... it was approaching 6:30pm, a little windy, and the sunset was approaching. I still wanted to dine there. + chicken paratha + chicken tikka masala fries I almost cried when I took my first bite of the paratha; so juicy, fresh, and comforting. It's like I should have ordered 10. Next were the fries which was just as amazing-tasting. The fries were crispy, the chicken masala was super tender, and heavy... it made the perfect "gravy" for the fries. I might come back this Saturday or Sunday! Thank you for the great meal. Hot, juicy fried chicken (huge btw) ... in a bun with their special sauce and cheese. Rly good, I recommend completely *not sure why but it reminds me of a fusion McD (tasty and better tho!)... the lettuce (usually not included, I added this to the burger), cheese, and bun are similar to what I would get at McD.... the fries taste and look similar to McD fries too but with their special seasoning Chicken Shami Kabab Hm didn't know what to expect? Lados has a very unassuming look from the outside that's very easy to miss. Don't be fooled though. This could be their ploy to lower expectations before they wow you. I visited them on Jan 1 2021, still dining as COVID protocols would allow. Their dining space is well lit and has a lot of elements of pakistani culture and south east asian hospitality. It was one of the few places that made me want to visit them once things opened up for dining once again. I got a zinger paratha roll and a chapli kebab roll along with an order of the lados fries. The zinger roll is a piece of fried chicken a la KFC with "Ayesha's secret sauce". The chicken was perfectly cooked, crisp and we'll seasoned. The roll was a little small in my opinion and left me wanting more. The chapli kebab roll was not really a kebab but the roll itself tasted good. Mildly spiced as before, there was a few different flavors at play that I enjoyed. The fries were a tad disappointing as the sauce that was added made it really soggy. My 20 minute drive back home was probably to blame but in case of to go orders, i think it may have been better to give the sauce on the side to not result in soggy fries. I'll definitely go back to try more of their menu. Lastly, be sure to try the chai they offer while waiting for the order. One of the few places in the bay area where chai tastes like it was intended to instead of a brown sugar solution. read more

From 5-10pm every day (except Wednesdays), you can let the flashing Lados sign next to Pezzella's Villa Napoli guide you into the used car lot where this fusion halal food truck resides. Chana masala, tikka masala (chicken or paneer), samosas, and other classics sit on the menu next to paratha wraps, kabob burgers, and curry fries. If you're a snob about authenticity, I assure you I was the only non-brown person in line (rest assured, Sarju!) The owner is very welcoming and accommodating (almost every other customer had some kind of special request), and the pride he takes in his food shows. Even the mango lassi incorporates organic mangoes and house-made yogurt. Chai for you while you wait. Then deliciousness when you receive your food! read more

You must lick los manos (hands) after eating Lados!! Lados is out of the park delicious, flavorful and scrumptious. That's all you need to know. We ordered the following: Dahl papdi chaat: cold dish (yogurt) a bit sweet with a kick of heat, variety of flavors in each bite! The Zinger: nice plump juicy fried chicken sandwich, puts all other fried chicken sandwiches to shame. Zinger sauce lingers on your palate!! The Tikka Burger: WOW! The charcoal baked chicken was AMAZING! Tikka Paratha Wrap: super good, the paratha wrap does it all, adds great taste. Doesn't rip from the overloaded ingredients!! Lados Fries and Crazy Curry Fries: Mouth watering, fries cooked to perfection with a little crisp. (Pro tip: save some bread from your sandwich or paratha and clean up the leftover sauce when the fries are done! Trust me! Or use your fingers!) Chai: probably too sweet for most people but I loved the sweetness. Not watery not overpowering, just perfect! This place is a gem in South bay area. I found out about it only recently otherwise would have visited long back. I tried chicken Zinger burger and chapli kabab. Both were above my expectations. I was tired of eating Afghani chapli kabab in all restaurants that offer it, and I have been looking for original Peshawari chapli kabab for ages. This place comes 90%+ close to original recipe, which is quite a feat thousands of miles away from Peshawar. A few suggestions I have for the owners: 1) Please get the parking lot entrance pavement repaired, it's full of deep cracks and gaps spoiling vehicle suspension. 2) The sauce with burger can be improved in taste. Maybe with some more garlic/mayonnaise flavors. 3) If chapli kabab is served with a side of mint yogurt chutney in same size as sauce given with burger, it would complete the flavor. 4) The only thing I frowned upon forwas some chewy fat in middle of the chicken burger. It was a small piece that I had to spit out, but not enough to decrease the rating. If the chicken pieces can be thoroughly cleaned off fat/veins it would be great. I would visit definitely again with friends. Update: I have tried the same items ordered above over 4-5 times and they have maintained amazing consistency! In addition to those, I would highly recommend crazy curry fries and Zinger sauce, it's finger licking good! This is one of my favorite places now. read more

Lados is a simple hole-in-the-wall located in the suburban part of Sunnyvale. Featuring South Asian Fusion, it's a great new place that deserves a visit. From what I know, Lados was once a food truck. This is likely the explanation for the kinks that we saw in their service, though I expect that to improve as time goes on. Their ordering system is elegant as you simply interface with a touch screen to make your order. It would behoove them to install two for when there's a bigger crowd, though. In addition, their system can't quite handle deals--such as the one you may get when you check-in via Yelp--so you have to talk to them in those cases anyway. The flooring, chairs, and tables are simple yet nice. Onto the food, though. I've had quite a few things here! - Bomb Kabob--this was great! The kabob used reminds me of the Halal Patties used for a BBQ I went to many years ago...The ratio of the meat to bread was just right. - Crazy Curry Fries--the custom fries of Lados. Not much to say about these other than that if you want to get fries at Lados, get these as they are unique. - Zinger Paratha Warp--featuring the famous Zinger fried chicken along with cheese and what appears to be similar to mint chutney in appearance (yet tasting more like ranch), I found this to be a highly delectable wrap. The fried chicken exceeded my expectations as it surpassed those that I have tried at other South Asian Fusion establishments. You have to try at least one of the Zinger items when you go here. Overall, I'd say that my experience here is better than that of Zareens--or really, any other South Asian Fusion in the Bay Area so far. I'll be back to try out their other items! read more
After hearing about this place on Facebook it was added to my must based on the food and taste. Defiantly a 5 star. But unfortunately, the experience is so different each time I go. Everything I've had here has been amazing, but the zinger burger is and all time favorite for the kids and me depending on my mood. My son isn't a burger lover he has had all the wraps they offer and he loves them. the fries and definitely recommend but don't taste good when you take it togo. Keep in mind you have space after your done eating the burgers. lol. Service is why I lowered the rating, wait times unpredictable and detestably long, it's also inconsistent. This has been the one thing that keeps me from returning. I have learned to call in the order but you have to get lucky if they answer the call. Occasionally food will come out in a reasonable amount of time. Once I waited 45min past the estimated yelp time for takeout, which means I was waiting there over an hour for my food. The staff is always nice. The prices have gone up. Price Overall, everyone should try Lados because the food is amazing. Wait time can be long so don't go when your crunched on time. read more

The Bomb Kabob Burger with curry fries are THE BEST fries I've ever had. I go here at least once a week, just for these addictive fries. Mango lassi is nice and refreshing and a great way to round out your meal. Family run business with a friendly owner. read more
By far one of the best pakistani restaurants that I have been to. Super duper flavorful, extremely delicious and worth every penny. We decided to go here after looking at some previous reviews and we weren't disappointed at all. Ordered tikka boti, anday wala burger, zinger burger and chapli paratha wrap. Between the 3 of us the food was more than sufficient. Definitely coming back to try more. Thank you for the wonderful experience. Although the wait time is quite long but once the food arrived, we couldn't focus on anything else. read more
