Tandoori chicken, naan, basmati, butter chicken, paneer tikka masala, chicken tikka masala, aloo mutter, palak paneer

I've been coming here for around 15 years now. We come 3-4 times a year and the food is usually pretty consistent. What is also consistent is the service, which is generally not very friendly and is a bit short. I don't mind the service since the food is what we are looking for. We love the chicken tikka masala, biryani, butter chicken, tandoori chicken (on the breast, the wing is usually black/burnt - good flavor, but often parts of it are too dark), aloo gobi, aloo mutter, palak paneer, eggplant potato, paneer tikka masala, naan, basmati, mango lassi. With to go orders, I typically call at 4:55-5pm to place my order and the earliest I've picked it up is 6pm. From all of my experiences, the pick up is very slow.

Eaten on 7/5/24: lol I really love kabab and curry's still, only update is that I have tried the new tikka masala wings and they are my favorite wings! They come with a creamy sauce that's great for dipping, about 6 wings per order.

"Funny nam'e, Top notch gam'e." One of K&C's Michelin Bib Gourmand plaques on the wall says it best -- you come here for the food. Not the service, which can be brusque even if you're a regular. Not the ambience, which is non-existant. You come here for the excellent home style food. Standouts include butter chicken with a hint of BBQ sauce flavour. Tandoori chicken with char to die for. And dum biryani that, excuse the cliché, probably really might be the best in the Bay (get the goat). Kabab and Curry's is the aloof kid / neighbour / coworker who, despite their faults, is just too damn good at what they do to be ignored. You come here for the food. True score: 9.1 / 10. Return: YES

Heard quite a bit about the place and eventually made it here with friends for dinner. Parking can get tough though persistence pays off. This place has a pretty good reputation and is always bustling with guests. We were greeted by Mohammed who got us seated to a table of our choice and as well mentioned to us to start thinking about what we would start with as there could be a wait time otherwise. We got into the act of ordering right away and started with a couple of order of chicken seek kabab, a couple mushroom tikka. Chicken tikka tasted great and it definitely looked to be cooked with an effort rather than in haste. Mushroom tikka had good reviews as well around the table. We followed that up with an order of Chicken Korma, Kadai chicken , Aloo mutter a couple garlic and butter naan along with an onion naan as well. Korma and Kadai chicken tasted epic and i would definitely visit them for those dishes absolutely for sure. The naans were made to perfection as well though aloo mutter had some room for improvement. We ended the night with tea for the table and found it to be just fine (sometimes at places the tea towards the end of the night/day gets to be extremely strong in flavor and this one tasted fresh). All in all phenomenal customer service, great chicken curries and a nice cozy ambience to the place sums up our visit which we would like to repeat as time and opportunity presents itself.

The last time I came here was before they remodeled, they had a buffet back then too! The food here is delicious. They offer many different kinds of breads, tandoori options, curries and biryanis. Here is what I tried recently: Nirali lamb (not on the menu, our server told us about it) Chicken keema naan Garlic naan Lamb biryani Chicken leg quarter tandoori Chicken boti kabab My favorite was the nirali lamb and the tandoori leq quarter. Every time I think about it I want to come back! Few notes: - 15% service charge added to all done in orders - Street parking is available - Naan was too charred on the back (might be a one off thing) - check their timings, they are closed on particular days so plan accordingly Lastly...expect to be here for a long time, for us it took about 20 minutes to get our order taken and 45 minutes to get our food. Some parties were getting their orders taken sooner after arrival.

This place has incredible Indian food! I came with a group of six, and they seated us right away on a weekday evening. Our waiter was attentive and gave great recommendations. Whenever you go out with a large group, I really recommend sharing a mix of dishes. That way, you'll get to sample a variety of flavors! We split 5 curries, a Chicken Kebab platter, 6 garlic naans, and three orders of rice. One serving of garlic naan is just the right size for one person, so keep this in mind. You have to order rice separately if you want that, as well. The curries were super tasty. I really enjoyed the Chicken Tikka and Lamb Korma. I've had my fair share of curries, and these are definitely top notch! I especially liked how they were rich, and filling, but weren't overly oily and buttery.

Our group of 10 came around end of lunch and were seated in the back room without wait. A lot of seating is available in the shop so good for larger parties. They weren't that busy and service was decently quick for our large group. Ordered and got food in about 15min. 9/10 Lamb Chops $18 - The best thing here! Lamb was juicy, lightly crispy edges, and cooked medium well! Enough to still be tender with a slight chew! Seasoned well but only 4 small pieces. 7.5/10 Fish Fillets $17 - 2 small fillet strips. Fish is dried seasoned. Almost a lemon grass flavor but was just ok overall. 6.5/10 Butter Chicken $11.75 - below average for butter chicken. Lacked a lot of flavor and creaminess. Good amount of chicken that was well coated. Portion size seemed average. 7/10 Lamb Korma $12.50 - lamb was tender and came in good chunks. Flavor of the gravy was pretty average. 6.5/10 Garlic Naan $5 - garlic flavor is super light. Naan made well but not worth at all. Just get the plain. 6/10 Beef Qeema $7 - definitely mot worth it either. Meat filling is very little and didn't have much flavor at all. 7/10 Choley $11 - average in taste and portion. Nothing special 7/10 Mango Lassi $5 - a different type of mango lassi than what I was expecting as it is more yogurt (sour) than sweet mango flavor. Not bad but it is super thick and heavy. 8% service fee as noted on menu and sign for dine in. Free onions if you ask. Overall super pricy and does not line up in taste

Went to Kabab and Curry after craving some Indian food and found this nice spot to get some yummy takeout. We ended up ordering from before on the phone and thankfully the food was ready on time. We got: *chicken tikka masala - this was creamy and delicious with juicy pieces of chicken *lamb korma - I liked this one as the curry was very flavorful, but wish it came out hotter *butter/garlic naan - both were delicious with the yummy chicken and lamb gravy's Overall yummy food, decent prices and good quantity!

2.5. Walking inside, it looks newly remodeled with plenty of accolades hanging on the wall but I don't see any from this year, for good reason. They should've remodeled the bathrooms too, there are two single restrooms that are gross. Quality was just not there. I got paneer tikka masala and minced beef kebab. Beef had a very strong cilantro flavor, I like cilantro but it could use other spices. Curry Portions are really small, almost tapas size and naan is too doughy. There's a mandatory 15% service charge but service was lacking. I had to ask for water, sauce, the bill, etc. they don't check on you at all. Maybe it was better in the past.

The food was great, and the service was quick and friendly. Dishes we tried: - Ghee Onion Rava Masala Dosa (5/5): large portion size, dosa felt light and it was delicious. - Vegetable Kothu Paratha (5/5): good flavor with plenty of vegetables. - Guntur Chilli Masala Dosa (4/5): Very large portion size and it was ok. If you are looking to try Dosas, Rava dosa is a better choice over this.

For a Saturday morning, the energy was calm -- a good sign for a small spot that could easily get overwhelmed. The waitress set the tone early. Warm, unhurried, she asked how we had heard about the place before taking the order -- the kind of question a restaurant only asks when it is still building its crowd and actually wants to know the answer. Filter coffee arrived without delay, hot, no shortcuts. The upma and mini tiffin combo followed. Portions were generous and the food arrived warm. But dish after dish played it safe right up to the edge of forgettable. The upma had correct texture with none of the assertiveness that makes a good upma worth finishing slowly. The sambar leaned thin. The chutneys were there, present and accounted for, doing the minimum. Everything assembled correctly, nothing bold enough to make you look up from the table. Meenakshi Bhavan gets enough right on a weekend morning to be worth knowing about -- clean space, genuinely warm service, honest portions. The waitress clearly takes pride in the hospitality side of things. The kitchen needs to match that energy with a firmer hand on the seasoning. Good enough for a familiar weekend breakfast. Not yet good enough to become a habit. The paintings on the walls that were Indian and Tamilnadu related was great, but the other art work seemed out of place, not sure what the thought process there was with the management. Things where this could improve: Coffee taste can improve (may be sourcing from a different coffee vendor may help, seemed like a standard Narassu's powder from a grocery shop near by that probably was at least a few months old) Chutneys need a certain kick and that was definitely missing. Cleanliness can be improved for sure.

But when unpacked, it looked it was more for one hungry person. it had 1 cup of lamb curry, 1 cup chicken curry, 1 cup of rice, 1 cup unfilled salad, 1 gulab jamon in syrup and soufflé cup of raita and 2 half rounds of plain naan. If it's for 2, how come only a single gulab Jamon. Also it states 2 curry's and 1 masala, but it was missing 1 of the proteins. This was the description: "Chicken curry, chicken tikka masala, lamb curry, naan, rice, raita, dessert, and salad typically compose this non-vegetarian thali for two" $27.50. Special instructions field was not operable as we woukd have asjed for mild and we were ok with the spice. it was between mild and medium. We both had a warmth over out beings and reached fir the raita to cool our mouths. My dining partner didn't eat much and got a really bad stomach ache. I didn't have a stomach ache bc I did not have any of the items in this Thali set. With my dining partner getting a bad stomachache, missing one of the proteins in the order and the minimal dessert of one when it's described as a set for two people. My partner shouted a strong zero. 0/5 Since I thought the combo above would be enough, I ordered garlic naan, it also came into half circles. Naan was thick and very dry. It reminded me of Greek pita bread but with scorches from a clay oven or skillet. Im used to get getting a green and reddish dip sauce but not from this restaurant. A la carte garlic naan iis $ 4.50 person naan. 2/5 In addition I ordered mushroom matter/mutter @ $14.50. This was very different than others I've had. At other pl all, whole mushrooms. But in this container, it barely had any and the mushrooms were sliced thinly and swimming in masala sauce. It was more saucy than it's contents. I felt like perhaps it was the end of the night and they were running low on mushrooms and peas. It was more a 1/5 . Needless to say, I would not recommend this establishment based on this experience.

In my naivety I hoped it was some natural food color using beetroot. But I later learnt from them that it was not. It left me appalled at the liberal use of such toxic artificial colors. Colors aside, the chicken itself was delicious. But I will make sure to ask them beforehand next time and order something that doesn't have colors. *naan-5/5- this was amazing. Hot from the tandoor. It wasn't charred at the bottom. It was light and large. It was clear that it was made by someone who knew their craft. I will come back here just for the naan. *samosa chaat-3/5- this made me sick, I had an upset tummy for a few days after. First off, the delivery was a smooth process, dot on time and packaged with such precision. Ankush, who runs the show at Delhicacies came to do the honors and as well left detailed instruction on how to go about preparing one of the starter dishes that we had ordered (Bhalle Papdi chaat that is). The menu we chose included Bhalle Paapdi Chaat, Cocktail Samosas, Paneer Tikka Masala, Chana Masala, Baingan Bharta, accompanied by Roomali Roti and Lacchay Pyaaz as a side salad. The Bhalle Paapdi Chaat was an instant crowd-pleaser, with the perfect balance of crispy papdi, fresh bhalle, cool sweet yogurt, tangy tamarind along with green sauces, a secret masala powder and a garnish of beetroot , pomegranate and cilantro. All of these were packed separately and instructions were provided (step by step) to prepare the end result which tasted out of the world good. It was refreshing yet packed with flavors that kept everyone asking for seconds. The Cocktail Samosas were golden, crisp, and filled with a spiced potato mixture that made them an ideal finger food--perfectly bite-sized and not greasy at all. For the main course, the Paneer Tikka Masala (PTM) stole the show with its rich, velvety sauce that coated the tender paneer in just the right amount of spice. The flavors were balanced yet bold, making it a standout dish. The earthy flavor in the paneer made it finger licking good and definitely was the biggest hit of the evening. The Chana Masala had the perfect texture--soft chickpeas simmered in a well-spiced gravy that had just the right amount of heat and tang. Cubes of paneer in there definitely made it a good overall combination and complemented with the PTM. The smoky and flavorful Baingan Bharta added an earthy depth to the meal as well. The eggplant was roasted beautifully, bringing out its natural flavors, which paired wonderfully with the Romali Roti. The roti was soft, thin, and warm, making it the ideal vehicle to soak up the gravies. We did end up heating the rotis in our microwave oven for about 10-15 seconds in batches and they remained perfect in their texture and taste. The Lacchay Pyaaz--freshly sliced onions with a sprinkle of masala--added a crunchy, refreshing bite to balance the richness of the other dishes. Overall, Delhicacies delivered an out of the world authentic North Indian culinary experience with each dish tasting as though it was prepared with care and precision. The food was flavorful, perfectly spiced, and served fresh. Our guests were impressed, and we couldn't have been happier with the quality of food and service of delivery. If you're looking for reliable and delicious Indian catering, Delhicacies should be at the top of your list! Give them a chance and thank me later. You are welcome!!!
