I've been eyeing this restaurant for the longest time and finally got the chance to try it last week. The ambience is amazing. It was a full house today because of their awesome oyster week special. Everything tasted sooooo good! My favorite thing was obviously the oysters but the drunken mussels were a show stopper too. Special shout out to my server Aime and the manager Lexi who made our dining experience so special and took really great care of us. They made the experience 1000 times more memorable by suggesting some really great things for us to try. I'll definitely be back soon.

I stopped by on a whim for an early dinner. The ambiance was okay. We came around 8PM, an hour before closing, so the restaurant was fairly quiet. I'm usually wary of ordering oysters during the hotter months, but the recent photos online looked promising, so I decided to order a dozen: half raw and half chargrilled. They were good! However, a couple of the raw oysters were barely a bite, so for the price, I'd definitely choose more grilled oysters--they offered better value in both taste and size. For our entrees, I ordered the LaGarde Smash Burger with Cajun fries, and my boyfriend had the Shrimp PoBoy with Cajun tots. The burger and PoBoy were just okay, but the sides were disappointing. The tots were essentially balls of grease. I know fried food is naturally greasy, but these tasted like straight oil with very little potato left inside, so they may have been overcooked. Of the two, the fries were on the better side. The service, however, was excellent. Everything came out quickly, and our server was friendly and attentive. Overall, I'd consider coming back for the chargrilled oysters!

Great seafood and service! Let's get into it! Location and Parking Located in Chamblee, there is plenty of free parking available as it is in a shopping center. I saw previous reviews mentioning that parking was a challenge, however I visited on a weekday so I didn't have that issue. Venue and Atmosphere The interior is sleek yet casual, with plenty of sunlight from floor to ceiling windows. Feel free to browse the selection of fresh seafood as you enter. Food and drinks I visited with friends and we shared several appetizers: oxtail gumbo, salmon bites, grilled oysters. They were all delicious and flavorful. Service Service was friendly, prompt, and efficient Verdict I'll be back!

Wow--let's talk about this dining experience. The oxtail gumbo? My first time trying it, and definitely not my last. Every bite was rich, comforting, and fully satisfying. Then came the salmon bites on wonton--crispy, flavorful, and such a perfect balance of texture. For the entrée, the pasta with salmon was not only delicious but a generous portion that didn't miss. And for something sweet... the bread pudding? So moist, topped with ice cream and Oreos--it was giving indulgence in the best way. But what really sealed the night for me was the coffee pairing. It took the show and brought everything together beautifully. I also loved the range of the menu--there's something for every craving. The service was excellent, and the food presentation matched the quality. Honestly had me thinking, what took me so long to dine here? Especially since I'm in this area often. Bonus: patio seating for outdoor season, plus easy access with self-parking, valet, or a parking deck.

Service went well! Clean and modern setting restaurant. Food was okay but drinks were delicious!

    Jambalaya! So good.

Came here for a festive night out near Christmas. 11/10 did not disappoint. The festive holiday cocktails were great - my server suggested either Dirty Santa or The Grinch. Both were delicious. The tuna nachos had a spicy kick to them but were good. The jambalaya was a large portion and was also good. We asked them to make our espresso martinis festive - and they added a candy cane and a festive stirrer. They had a nice wine list too. Only downside was trying to find parking - but our server was great! Her name started with an M (I think). I will come back here for sure.

Came here with a friend on a Sunday afternoon and it was not busy so we sat right away on their patio. My friend ordered the Cajun pasta and she enjoyed it. She said it it was well seasoned. I ordered oysters and ahi tuna nachos since I was not as hungry. The nachos were an appetizer and I was not expecting them to be filling. They came as 5 nachos with aioli. I do wish they were a loaded nacho plate because that would've been just the light fill I needed without needing anything else. They were still good. Tuna was frwah. The oysters were about $3-4 each and were fresh as well. I believe they have an oyster special during the week but the price seemed to be the same. The raw were medium size and I'm glad I chose them rather than the smaller ones. I'm not sure I love the oyster price (that's with knowing that oysters are usually not cheap). I've been to this place before so it's definitely a relaxing place to have light bites or even family dinner. My drink was ok but it became watered down very fast with the ice. My friend opted for an old fashioned. All together my bill for 1 drink, 6 oysters and 5 nachos came to $55. I may come back to try other menu items

Absolutely love this spot! The food was sooo delicious & fresh! I absolutely love the roasted oysters. They were amazing! I visited this spot during halloween season which was so fun. They are all decked out and have fun halloween cocktails! I would highly recommend this spot to anyone in this area. They have a wide menu with lots of options. Parking wise: we did have some trouble. They lot was full and the line for valet was SO long. So definitely build in some time for parking!!

    Bayou pasta

Favorite restaurant in the area. Always has been and hopefully always will be. That being said, the prices have unfortunately gone up significantly for all of the menu items. The portion sizes seem to have shrunk, but the food quality is always incredible. I also think the restaurant has been negatively affected by the loss of some of their best servers.

Grilled Oysters & Thai Fried Shrimp
    Stephen M.

Lagarde was a highly anticipated restaurant for my friend and I and what better time to come during Mardi Gras when they have their themed menu? We were seated in the enclosed, outside area which was kind of a buzzkill because the inside seemed lively and those vibes were nonexistent in the quiet outside area. My friend was encouraging me to order the charred oysters as I've never had them before and we ordered a lot and they were pretty good! I ordered raw oysters to compare and enjoyed them twice as much. The drinks were solid as well. If you come here you want to stick to just that-- oysters and drinks. We ordered a few appetizers and they were all underwhelming in their own way. The whipped ricotta was unlike any other I've had before and the word that comes to mind is amateur? It just wasn't good. The Thai fried shrimp was just fried shrimp, nothing really Thai about it. The Nola BBQ shrimp was solid and the brisket tots were okay but was far from impressive. Stick to the oysters and drinks like I said.

    Hair in butter
    Melanie H.

Our visit started off well. Our server Morgan was pleasant, and the brunch menu seemed to offer something for everyone. A good start went downhill quickly when one of our plates came out with hair in the butter. Our server apologized and took it back to the kitchen for it to be remade, which was fine. The bigger problem was that we weren't offered any type of compensation (a percentage off the entree that had hair, comped beverages, something). I'm not expecting a free meal or anything outrageous, but something for the inconvenience of having to wait while the kitchen remade the order would've gone a long way. I'm not sure if this falls on management for not empowering their employees to make these types of decisions, or if it was up to Morgan, and she didn't care to offer. Either way, the food wasn't good enough to overlook the customer service failure.

    Salmon BLT
    Tiffany J.

This place was really nice and casual! They had outdoor dining and the doors open. Our sever was very nice and professional. Our food was brought out piping hot and delicious. I ordered the Salmon BLT with the Cajun tots and the Summer in Chamblee cocktail. Oh and the deviled eggs and Thai Fried as appetizers. The cocktail was incredibly refreshing and perfect for a warm afternoon! I didn't get andouille on the deviled eggs which I later regretted because I felt like they needed a little crunch. The Salmon BLT was tasty. Although I wish they didn't put such a thin piece of Salmon on it. The Cajun tater tots were cooked to perfection and absolutely amazing! I would go back just for those alone. All in all, a really good culinary experience!

Came here for my cousins birthday with a party of 8. My husband and I split the chicken wings and I got the chicken biscuit for my entree. Both were very tasty but something seems to have changed with the wings once last time we got them. Can't really tasty that it was grilled. The server was kind but messed up the surprise cake we got for my cousin. She brought out share plates before the cake so that gave it away. We also paid for a cake cutting fee and they tried to cut the cake at the table which would have been a mess. Had to ask them to take it back to kitchen to cut.

After a few visits, I've tried a good variety of the menu: * **Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich:** This is served open-face and uses a mix of Sichuan and Calabrian chili. It is absolutely amazing, but fair warning: it is *hot*. Even if you're used to Sichuan spice, this one may still be tough to deal with, but it's still incredibly flavorful and enjoyable. Just keep in mind that they don't adjust the heat level for this one. * **The Greens:** These are wonderful. They have a rich, savory pork flavor and are easily a must-order for me every single time. * **Shrimp and Grits:** This has a fantastic sauce that strikes the perfect balance--not too heavy, but not watery either. My only minor wish is that they'd add some andouille sausage to it (even if raised the price), but it's still a really well-executed dish. * **Southern Pho:** Really great and super hearty. It's a comforting bowl, though probably best enjoyed during the winter months. * **Drinks:** The cocktails are always creative and well-made, and they keep a really interesting beer list on hand too. ### 2. The Ambience The vibe here is great. The interior feels like a charming, cozy little house you'd find in Savannah. I especially love the bar area, which has these really cool copper chandelier lights that give the space a warm, inviting glow. ### 3. The Service The staff has been consistently friendly and welcoming every single time I've been here. The Summary I honestly feel lucky to live close to this place. It doesn't get much love or mentions from the Atlanta social media crowd and local press (the good news is you won't encounter a lot of annoying people lol).. I'm a fan though.

Jahjoy pork belly: Tasty & tendor. I loved the papaya salad which left a refreshing contrast. A bit too saucy for me. Flavors were strong. Squid ink bucatini: our favorite! Must get dish - bucatini is perfectly al dente & the spicy sauce was very flavorful. Jumbo shrimp was delicious, and the anchovy on top left a nice strong flavor. Red snapper: This has some Vietnamese influences with the sauce. It was a lighter dish which was just OK for me, I would have liked the fish to have a crispier skin. Not much flavor besides the sauce which is inspired by canh chua. Wagyu flank steak: cooked to perfection and flavored well, loved the celery puree which was much tastier than we expected celery to be. Dessert was mint chocolate cake which was very tasty. I wish the cake was softer and meltier in the center but it was still good. Malt gelato was delicious. Could def taste the mintiness. Creme pat along the edges was a nice add to the cake with cacao nibs and popcorn for a textural contrast. I enjoyed it!! Overall we had a great meal and could tell the ingredients were very fresh. I'm so glad we listened to the other reviews and gave them a visit because our entire table of four had a lovely time. We started with drinks and I settled on a glass of wine. They had the exact type of sauvignon blanc that I wanted, which was an immediate win. As a group we settled on the whipped goat cheese and brussel sprouts for appetizers. The brussel sprouts came with bacon so I steered clear, but the others raved about them. The whipped goat cheese dip was also a nice choice with the garden veggies. Super creamy and refreshing. As for my entree I went with risotto of the week with salmon. It was absolutely delicious and I ate every bite. We had a birthday in the group so we of course had to get desserts. We shared the creme brulee and this super decadent chocolate cake. Both with fresh berries, love! The creme brulee was definitely my favorite of the two, but you can't go wrong. As for the space itself, it's beautiful. It gave off a sort of a modern farmhouse vibe with the wood and brick. With the twinkle lights and earthy touches bringing it all together. Our service was also on point. Jackson was awesome (as you can see in the other reviews) and kept the good vibes flowing all night. I would definitely come here again.

Coming inside it's a lot bigger than what you would expect. They have a wall of wine, as they should, they have a back room where they do tastings, and not like four tables that are set up. They have like tastings and cooking lessons as well so there's tables and stoves and all sorts of things. They have a full kitchen with a kitchen menu that I hear. The fool was pretty good. I actually didn't try the food on the first time around because I just eaten and I just wanted to stop And to see what it was about because it's been on my list. They have a very limited selection of liquor but there is liquor there. They have a cocktail menu, again. It's kind of limited, but they can pretty much make whatever you need. But the show the spotlight is going to be on the wine selections. Wish they had plenty of them. I was picking out a wine to try and she definitely helped and gave good advice and led me in a good direction. She was awesome. Now they have a wine club. This wine club is pretty good, so I may consider trying it. I'm already part of wine club elsewhere, but this one might be a little bit different. For the wine club you pay a price and you get about four bottles of wine, but you also get to do all of the tastings as well. You get the good a membership discount if you bring people in to dine-in as well. There's a lot that goes into it. There should be a picture of it in my review so check that out. Oddly enough, they also have trips that they go on for people who want to visit different wine venues. It's really surprising because that isn't a small thing to take group trips to some random part to sample wine. But if you're a wine drinker, and you have the the money to spend, this would be cool to be around like-minded people. They really have a lot to offer! I thought it was a really good random walk-in for me, I enjoyed it. The atmosphere was good, the selections were really good, the customer service was really good, it was great on all parts.

I've tried the sweet soy sriracha, queso verde queso, and polynesian chili mango which have all been pretty good but not my favorite. I do love their queso as a side with flatbread though. I've also tried some seasonal options which I've enjoyed. For proteins, the grilled chicken, spicy chicken, panko crispy chicken, shrimp, tofu, and baby Bella mushrooms are all good! I was not a fan of the new grilled steak sadly. Don't forget their chips! The bbq and regular sweet potato chips are both yummy. Additionally, service is always excellent! Love stopping in to eat or going through the convenient drive thru. Wish they had these all over the country!

Unfortunately, there…read morewas a private event going on in the main dining room so I was offered to dine at the outside bar. There was not much of a scene around, but I sat at the bar and ordered the Fig and Prosciutto Flatbread and the Tom Yum Mussels, both of which actually turned out to be very tasty. The bartenders were just ok, not mean but not exactly the friendliest...just doing their job whenever they were present. Overall, not an amazing experience or anything, but it was pretty average.

I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could as I'm on the fence between 3 and 4. They obviously have a full bar, otherwise they won't make it as a hotel restaurant lol. I ordered chambord manhattan and it was decent. For my app I went with grilled Malaysian shrimp - this dish was delicious, the shrimp was plump and juicy. My main dish consisted of Lamb shank with mushroom risotto - excellent! Not overcooked for once! I love this dish when it's done right but most of the time they kill it by hours and hours of overcooking. Yes, it's very tender once it gets to you but it tastes like nothing, just mush.. Portico managed to make it perfect. Overall: sleek decor, good service, patio, full bar, self parking. Worth a try if in the area or staying at the hotel.
