Coming home to get to pick up Elaine and head to Daytona Beach for dinner

My wife and I drove from Ocala to meet up with a friend at Lagerheads in Ormond Beach.. The wings and BLTs were very good. The music, sung by a local guy, was perfect and the breeze coming in off the ocean provided an evening of enchantment. If your on A1A either going to or coming from Daytona Beach, you have to stop in for a little music, great food and a great experience along the coast ...we have been here many times over the years and expect to return many more.

Cruising A1A and stopped in to this dive bar for a beer and a snack and to watch the end to the Tampa Bay Bucs game. It's a great dive bar with friendly folks, cold beer and a great menu. All we got was a mozzarella stick appetizer with our beer but it was very good. Also, I could see the food others were getting and it looked very good. Glad we stopped in here !

This is a cute little dive bar on A1A on the north end of Ormond Beach. Our server was Leah. She was kind, helpful and a general pleasure to interact with. We had the fried pickles and alligator for appetizers. They were both really good. I would go back there for the fried pickles alone. For main courses: I had the grilled grouper sandwich and my husband had the fried grouper. Both were awesome. I highly recommend it

On our way from Daytona to St. Augustine, we stopped here for lunch. It's right on the beach. The wait staff was very helpful. The flounder fingers were very good but the grouper was outstanding! Very good meal for our first seafood on a weeklong visit.

Love this place! Family owned and great hospitality, service and great food and drinks. Thank you to the owner Kevin, his daughter "Fee". I love their decor, atmosphere and their live music was terrific also. We were able to go across the street after our delicious basket of great choices of food. It was fun to be right on the beach and in the Atlantic Ocean. Great time! (Oh my! One of my Texas friends has informed me her ancestor was Captain Ormond!) I'm sending Leslie here when she comes to visit. Treat her well. Thank ya'll!!

We had an impromptu stop in to Lagerheads tonight and have to say, PLEASANTLY surprised! First, staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Second, food was on point. Not a single scrap left on any of them. Third, the live music was fantastic. Forth, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. :) Natalie took great care of us. It might look like a little bit of a tourist trap, but definitely worth a stop for good food and good times.

We have the prime view of the Atlantic as we see what to order.

Before we returned to South Florida, my wife and I had lunch with my Mom at Lagerheads, which is situated right across from the Atlantic Ocean on A1A. My Mom loves this place because it's down the street from her house so she can walk to it. So, we gave this place a go. Our experience was decent. Our server was great. He did his best to ensure we had drinks and what we needed per what we ordered. The Mai Tai, Bloody Mary, and the Floridian Dream were delicious. And we had waters at our table refilled promptly. The kitchen was hit or miss with the orders. Our stepson ordered a fried chicken sandwich and received a fish sandwich instead, which the server sent back and ensured the right order was done. My wife is celiac and ordered the grouper Caesar salad, being ensured that there wasn't anything touched by gluten; there were croutons in the salad. While we were able to remove them without my wife getting glutened, that was still disconcerting. That wasn't the fault of the server who did his best to correct things. On the other side of the coin, the wings were incredibly tantalizing, which I enjoyed with hot sauce and blue cheese. The gator po'boy was decent, a little chewy. The fries were wicked good though. Parking is found at the front of the property mostly, which fortunately we found a spot before the restaurant became too busy. During peak hours, it can be a challenge unless you are within walking distance of where you live. Plus being on A1A, you have to ensure you are not at the mercy of oncoming traffic. Overall, I would come back. Lagerheads is a good, local spot to get some good grub.

This is exactly the beach bar you want near your house. Great view. Nightly music. And the food is very good. I've had much of the menu and the lager melt is my favorite. The shrimp a close second. The fries are always perfectly fine and tasty. If you like shrimp tacos, these are a very good choice. As you expect, good bet selection and a full bar. Visit my neighborhood and support this gray place!

Our first restaurant tried in Ormond Beach. Cozy beach atmosphere and a menu full of options. Great cocktails and service. Had the fish and chips which was good as well as the Floridian dream cocktail. Highly recommend for a beachy meal.

This place was recommended by locals and yelp. We had been traveling most the day to get here. Service was good, the love music was great too. Food was just ok. Potato skins were not great, but we were starved. We ordered fish and chips, ahi tuna, and burger and fries. Would be great for drinks and music.

5 star view. 3 star food. Fish tacos terrible. Paper thin overcooked fish. Jarred salsa and sour cream for dip? No thanks.

The chicken second time was again a luncheon date and I had the chicken pot pie which was extaordinary. besides the food being above average in quality and taste, the setting in an old victorian home was also special. which reminds me that I choose it for our dinner group and they raved about the setting and all enjoyed their meal. A special place in our small community.

My hubby had been working outside all day and asked if we could wait for an inside table. The host personally went and cleared/reset a table for us. My husband tried to tip him and he would not accept it. Our server was Cassandra and she was amazing. After dinner and dessert we asked for some recommendations amd she had some great ones. We had the lamb, a filet and a ny strip. All were cooked perfectly. The standout for me was the fried chicken. You can add a breast or thigh to any meal. I had a thigh and it was one of the best I have had. Crispy, tasty and the chicken itself was tender and juicy. When I come back I am definitely ordering the chicken! If you're in the area, definitely give this place a try. There is free valet parking, which is helpful since there is not a lot of parking. The valet were hustling! Did I mention the heat? Don't forget to tip them. The faster they move the higher the tip in my opinion.

We had burgers, sandwiches, bloody Mary's, margaritas, beach nachos with beef, skillets with shrimp & with beef. Everything was excellent. We made…read morereservations and arrived ten minutes prior to trivia time. 15 minutes past trivia time and of course, after we ordered, they announce that trivia was canceled. This was a huge disappointment since we drove out just for trivia. It would have been nice to get some kind of compensation, but all we got was super slow service and a 3 percent credit card surcharge! (It does say that on the menu, but again, it would have been nice if they took that off for the inconvenience.) The food is over priced and mediocre. 12 dollars for a wedge salad that is about a third the head of lettuce and very little toppings is inflation at it's best. Two dollars to sub fries for chips is also a bit much. The most surprising part was the tipping options starting at a whopping 25 percent, then 30, then 35 percent!! Who is eating here? Burt Reynolds?? (IYKYK) We will not be back when visiting this part of Florida; not even for trivia.
