I recently had to return my leased Tesla Model Y, and I wanted to make sure it was in great condition before turning it in. Three of the wheels had curb rash ranging from light to fairly severe, and the right front bumper had popped out slightly and needed to be pushed back into place. From past experience, I know leasing companies can charge a premium for even minor damage, so it was important to get everything repaired beforehand. I decided to call Laguna Auto Service because I wanted to support a local business, and they had an outstanding online reputation. Around 1:00 p.m., I called to get a quote for repairing the three wheels. Mo, the owner, answered the phone and quoted me $200 per wheel. I drove over so he could inspect the car, and after taking a look, he told me he could also pop the front bumper back into place. We agreed to meet on Monday. When I got home, I realized I actually had to return the car the following Wednesday--and it was already Saturday! I called Mo back, explained the situation, and without hesitation he told me to bring the car on that same day. I dropped it off around 2:40 p.m. At 5:13 p.m.--less than three hours later--Mo called and said my car was ready for pickup. I honestly couldn't believe it. When I arrived, all three wheels looked brand new, and the front bumper was perfectly back in place. Even better, he didn't charge me anything for fixing the bumper. The total came to exactly $600, just as quoted for the wheels. These days it seems like every car repair comes with an eye-watering bill, but Mo was incredibly fair, honest, and efficient. The quality of the work was outstanding, and the turnaround time was nothing short of amazing. I won't be taking my cars anywhere else for future repairs. Thank you so much, Mo! Laguna Auto Service Center will give you world class customer service. I recently parked on PCH at a meter and when I returned to my car the key FOB battery was dead. I was having difficulty inserting the key into the manual lock under the door handle. Auto Club could not assist so I started walking down the street to see where I could purchase a battery for my FOB. I got lucky and saw Laguna Auto Service Center. When I entered the auto service office, I was pleasantly greeted by Eric. Eric was able to sell me a FOB battery at a reasonable price, and he kindly installed the battery for me. When I returned to my car with a new battery in the FOB, the door was not unlocking, and I still could not insert the manual key to unlock the door. I went back to Laguna Auto Service Center and shared the details of the car not unlocking with Eric, and he said he would be happy to walk up the street and help me get the car unlocked. Eric provided exceptional customer service in walking up the street to help me unlock and start the car. In addition, Eric gave generously of his time and did not want any compensation for helping me. If this is what Laguan Auto Service Center does for a customer needing a battery for their key FOB, then the auto repair service will be the same outstanding and caring service. I happened to like the team at Laguna Auto Service on my first interaction with them, however, I now regret having built an impression based on one interaction. I was wrong and I feel my trust was taken advantage of, as my recent experience with them was extremely painful. They not only charged me twice for what clearly says parts with exact same dollar amounts, when I brought it to their attention, and they noted this overcharge, to avoid refunding me the extra charge, they claimed that it was a diagnostic charge. This is in addition to a high labor charge. At this point I am extremely dissatisfied with their service not only for the double charge for the parts, but also their nonchalant/non-caring attitude. I can only speak on the price quote I received for brakes and rotors. Laguna quoted $1700 for all brakes & rotors replaced. I called 3 other shops and all 3 quoted in the $900 range! Bad Expierence I was towed in as my radiator failed. After a quick inspection they sent me the estimate of $2300. 1300 for labor and 1000 for parts. Pro tip: http://www.napaautocare.com/estimator.aspx You can get an idea of what you are getting into or at least a ball park. I received an estimate from Auto Zone they estimated it at $875. I ended up doing the repair with a friend took me three hours. This location was AAA recommended. :( read more
