And it's located in the back of a stirp mall, which is a bit odd for the such a nice restaurant. After a day of wine tasting, my group was quite hungry. 2 ordered the the mezzah plate - one had falafel, and the other had lamb. The portions were huge and came with 2 choices of spread, along with a pita the size of a raquet! The hubby and I settled on Fish cake with sweet corn succotash and gnocchi. Honestly, the Fish cake dish was oh, so delicious! I would happily ordered that over and over again. To end our meal we shared the Sicilian donuts and Strawberry shortcake. I was quite stuffed when we left. Add Dovetail Joint to your list when in Richland. Even one of the winemakers recommended them to us!

You can tell whoever designed the space has a good eye, branding everything with the dovetail symbol, including the gorgeous handmade pottery serving plates/bowls. SERVICE: Just ok. Our server was nice, but hardly present as she was slammed on a Saturday night. Really seemed like they needed at least one more server. FOOD: In our group of 5, everyone ranked the food at 3.5/5 and one 3/5. They're on a great track to have a great dining experience, you can see the intent is there - it's just needs some sharpening. The pastas were just ok, lacking in flavor. The pizza was 1/3 crust and doughy. My fish taco was very good, but just 1 taco for the order which I ordered as my entree... would have been nice to have that listed or been told by the server since fish tacos usually come in multiples. I order a Caesar whenever it's on a menu, I loved the grated parm, but the dressing was very mayo flavored, needed garlic, acid, something. That's a lot to harp on, but really I could tell the heart is there and I look forward to coming back again in the future, I could see this place being a solid dining experience!

There are raised booths and also seating at the bar. Only windows are by the door; richly painted dark walls. Parking is a little tight in the back but there is street parking with a cut-thru sidewalk between the brewery next door. This is the more intimate portion at the back of the building perfect for a quiet dinner compared to the many windows sunny breakfast area in the front (The Early Bird). Clever! We've actually had a fantastic breakfast there; at the time did not realize the connected restaurant in the back for dinner. All of us loved our food: shared appetizer Brussels Sprouts, Yakitori Bowl (minus chicken, added egg), Pork Belly Rice Bowl, Ramyen and a Kimchi Quesadilla off the specials menu. The specialty cocktail drinks with the giant square block ice cubes were delicious. Our server was delightful & charming. Menu has a variety of options with fusion flavors that work well together. Several no-meat options. We plan to return to experience more choices!

When we arrived, the seating area is full, but we were still greeted warmly. We ordered our meal to go but we were still offered a place to sit in glasses of water while we waited. We both ordered pho. I got the combination pho with everything and my wife ordered the beef pho. She also ordered some pork bao buns, and I ordered soup dumplings. They packaged the pho very well, with the broth, vegetables and meat, and one container and the noodles, some of the extra meat, lines, cilantro, basil, etc. In another container, the servings were huge. We had plenty for another meal the next day. The pho broth was excellent. We did have to heat it up again when we added the noodles and extras, but it was well worth it. The soup dumplings were flavorful and warm and the bao buns had a mild but rich pork filling. This was a real treat while we were on the road.

Not too sweet, but definitely sweet enough to cut the bitter taste of the coffee. The coffee itself wasn't too bitter or sour tasting. I'd get that again. The banh mi, the pork belly option is double the price of any other protein. I'm not sure if that works out in the worth it department for me, but the meat proportion in the sandwich is worth it. The veggies seemed pretty fresh, crisp, but no jalapeño in the sandwich. Not sure if that's a regular thing, but I've eaten enough banh mi with jalapeños, so I consider that a necessary ingredient. The bread was toasted pretty heavily, perhaps cooked in the grease of the pork belly? Not sure. I wasn't a huge fan of that, the bread itself was difficult to tell if it was light and springy with a flaky crust, because it was toasted so hard. Either way, the sandwich was eaten, the coffee was gulped down. I'd probably try other things here. Smelled good in there. Service was nice, staff seemed really amicable and they were turning tables as quickly as people were hopping out of their seats.
