I met up with a friend here for brunch on a Sunday. The wait was about 20 to 30 minutes, which isn't bad for a proclaimed brunch location. It felt like a long time though after we were seated to get service. We put in our drink orders, but they took a really long time to come out. They came out almost at the same time as our food, which is rough because you're trying to space out your alcohol intake over the course of the visit. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my mimosa flight. It was pretty standard I got the version with pineapple, orange juice and cranberry juice for $20. Not bad pricing. I got the churro French toast and bacon which was good. The bacon was a little small and could've been crispy. My friend's daughter got the chilequiles which were mid. My friend got the Nutella French toast. She liked it. If you live in this neighborhood or are 15-20minutes away I think this is a nice place to swing by, but for me the drive was a bit much when there are closer places with similar offerings. read more

The food here is actually really good, no complaints there. Whoever is back in that kitchen is doing their thing. But the overall experience feels like a test of patience and financial endurance. First off, the service moves at the speed of a DMV line the day after a holiday weekend. We had enough time between ordering and getting our food to reflect on life choices, reconnect spiritually, and consider applying for jobs there so we could check on our own order ourselves. Now let's talk about the drinks. Not cocktails, not fancy handcrafted lavender infused mocktails served by a guy named Sebastian. I'm talking regular soft drinks. Sodas. The kind you buy in a 12 pack at the grocery store. They bring them out in the actual can, no glass, no ice, no refill, no illusion of generosity whatsoever. And if you dare to ask for a second one? Boom, another $4 charge. Charging $4 per soda can while also making me pour it myself feels less like dining and more like I accidentally entered a luxury survival experience. At that point just hand me the Costco case and let me finance it. Again, the food was good. But between the slow service and the hostage negotiation approach to canned soda distribution, it's hard not to leave slightly irritated and oddly dehydrated. read more

The wait on a Sunday Afternoon was short and we were seated within 5 minutes. However the service was long! We got our drinks reasonable time and even our food was not too long after that. However the attentiveness was lacking. We asks for salsa for one Entre and it never came...we must of sat 15-20 minutes after finishing our meals before having to flag someone down to get our check. The food was okay. I had the chilaquiles with birria. I think for instagram pics etc but I don't think I would try again. read more

This vibrant yet cozy restaurant offers large portions of pancakes, French toast, and waffles that are best for sharing with your table. Since you cant have sweet without the savory, we also tried their steak and eggs which I really enjoyed most. They also offer a great selection of beverages from mimosas to strawberry flavored horchata. Both the interior and exterior of the restaurant is filled with beautiful paintings on their walls and the staff here are very friendly and accommodating. Finally made it to this place! we tried coming last year, but there was a three hour wait so yes I recommend you come early because they get very busy and it gets full; we ordered the coffee flight, the red Chilaquiles with Birria and the omelette with Chilaquiles. Everything was so good. We had no room for dessert, but we kept looking around and all the plates looked amazing. We will come back and try something sweet as well our waiter was really nice. It turns out they were a little short staffed because a couple people called off on Mother's Day so imagine that it's definitely cute. Can't wait to try the other locations. read more

We had to wait about 15 minutes on a Sunday morning. Not too bad. The exterior is just a basic brick building but inside they have it all decked out in flowers, pink lights, and butterflies. It's very cute. They have flights for everything! The matcha flight was so good. Each one had a very strong fruity flavor. It was hard to pick a favorite. The side of potatoes were great. The French Toast was giant but I think that made them a bit too dry for my liking. I would have preferred a thinner slice of bread to soak up more of the egg mixture. They have an extensive menu though so I would go back to try more. read more

First time visiting Madres. Two locations, this was the Riverside one, other is in Rancho Cucamonga. Best part of our order was the coffee. The chilaquiles had some heat, but lacked layers of complimentary flavors. The churro French toast was more like a cronut, harder than French toast is supposed to be, lots of crunch which I wasn't expecting. Maybe with a side of syrup or a carmel drizzle with whipped cream drizzle would have elevated it. It's beautiful inside and fun ambience wise, the staff were super friendly and attentive, I just wish the food delivered as much as the pictures suggest they did. I would come again, I would order the coffee and try different items. read more

I lowkey hate that I came here on a day that there was a local marathon nearby and a surplus of people that stopped by after they finished... I feel like it makes it hard to gauge how the service would've been on a regular day when they weren't so busy, because it clearly looked like they were struggling a little bit as it almost took 10 minutes for them to just get our drink order... But nonetheless, the parking lot here is absolutely terrible... circled around for a bit but ultimately ended up parking across the street Ordered some green chilaquiles since that seems to be the go-to here... at first, the plate seems like there isn't much food in there, but it's actually pretty packed. In terms of flavor and spice though, I would just say it's average... there was pretty minimal meat on it for the price in my opinion, but hey, maybe I was paying for ambiance, not food portions... the churro French toast was pretty yummy Getting our check was another frustrating almost 20 minutes of waiting... Club lounge kind of vibe if you're into that. Not the mood for 8 am for me. So unexpectedly walked into that not knowing lol For the food I ordered it took about 30 minutes to get and it was a fairly large plate for 22 dollars (it should be for that price) however the food was cold and only slightly warm in the inside of the middle. I read the other reviews mentioning this. So it's definitely a reoccurring thing here. My sister brought me to this beautiful brunch place! It's pretty viral. I forgot that I also saw these pancakes online. They have so many things I want to try and they have monthly specials. I got the mimosa cold brew flight special. It was champagne and cold brew. It was so interesting and so great! I loved every flavor. I also got the sampler toast and I didn't realize it was going to be on such thick soft bread. It was so delish! It had a 1/2 plece of toast with smashed avocado and cooked salmon topped with cherry tomatoes, capers and onion, a 1/2 piece of toast with smashed avocado, egg & bacon, and a 1/2 piece of toast with smashed avocado and cherry tomatoes. Ok. So I really wanted to LOVE this place but I just kinda like it. Here's why: Service is awesome, staff is so friendly! 5 stars for them. The place itself is also cute although it gets super loud FAST! Now the food. The chilaquiles rojo was pretty dry. You can kind of see it in the pic although beautifully plated. We gave it a 7 overall. The madre was much more flavorful, we gave it an 8.5! The waffle is pretty standard, the Nutella French toast looks beautiful but it's just ok! Looks better than it tastes. The two egg combo of bacon and eggs, I'm not sure I even got two eggs. I asked for over medium and def got them overhard which was disappointing. The hash browns were good...overall this place is just OK! I'm not dying to go back, but I also didn't feel like it was a total waste of money. Was in the area for an event pretty early and was looking for some vegan breakfast. This place surprisingly came across my radar, it was new to me, so I gave it a try. This seems like a pretty popular spot. The fare is mostly Mexican food, with a decent selection of vegan breakfast items. There was a wait for groups but not too long of a wait and a pretty good amount of seating. I sat at the bar and went over the menu. I couldn't help but notice how dirty the menus were. I know multiple people handle and look over them, but it doesn't look like there's any effort to wipe any food residue off of them. A simple lysol towel or something. Sat down at the bar, I ordered the tofu scramble with some mimosa flights -their green apple and pineapple. The food itself is pretty good. Not a great portion, but yummy for what it is. My mimosa and water glasses also didn't seem too clean, so I just drank from them in a way to only touch the clean parts and I didn't even drink from my water glass at all. For the food, I'd come back. Just hope things are a bit cleaner. read more

I would've given it five stars , but had to take one star away for using food color which is a huge no no for me due to researched and documented health concerns. We ordered pistachio waffles and low in behold we got dark colored green waffles. I was very disappointed. Everything else was going well until the waffles arrived. I would still come back, I'll just not order the green waffles, or next time I'll ask if they can omit the food color. But it's probably a pre-mixed batch.
