The perfect location for a group luncheon or dinner. The Eustis Waterfront Restaurant recently hosted a repast luncheon for around 45 family and friends of a dear relative. The staff couldn't have been more friendly, accommodating and helpful. From coordinating the event particulars with Carolyn, who was so sweet and understanding, to the attentive on-site service, the luncheon couldn't have been more perfect. The upstairs dining room with a birds-eye view of Lake Eustis, a private comfortable seating area and private bar, provided the perfect space for our group. The food was excellent, was served hot and was closely monitored by staff so additional food could be quickly replenished when needed. In addition to a post-funeral meal, I also recommend this venue for rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, corporate luncheons/dinners, Christmas parties, birthday parties and everything in-between! Because it was raining we weren't able to take advantage of the outside seating on the marina, but it's also a great option for guests. read more

Was very excited to try this place. Wife and I both got the NY strip. She ordered hers rare and I ordered med rare. The steaks came butterflies covered in oil and well well done. The baked potatoes were burnt. The app was a bacon wrapped scallops. They were ok. Very small portion. A house salad is a 4 dollar up charge as one of your sides. And it is a small salad. The waitstaff is very nice and the view Is nice. But the foot is awful for a 130 dollar bill for 2 people. Atleast know how to cook a steak. read more

Great service by Brandi and outstanding food: the fish and chips (seasoned fries) were the best I've ever had anywhere and my dining companion fairly inhaled her bacon-wrapped scallops (appetizer). My Heineken NA beer came out perfectly ice cold. This was my second time there and both times the food and service has been flawless. Food was good. Service was Ok. Watch out for group automatic gratuity. They tell you they add 18% but it was 29% last night. I pointed it out. But, I think it was programmed and that no one would notice. A but pricey. $80 for two of us with one glass of wine, one appetizer, one salad and one order of fish and chips. Well we tried them this morning we walked in at 11:15 and by 11:45 we were leaving. The ambiance is very nice, the out side seating was also nice. I find the staff very willing attentive and helpful. If they don't know the answer they will get you one. The menu looked a little warn to me for being a new place. Anyway I ordered 2 drinks. The punch and a margarita for my wife. The punch was fairly priced for 10.00 but seemed small and flavored like a non alcoholic drink...3 slurps with a straw and it was gone. The Rita glass was so full of ice there was about 4 ounces of harsh drink of that. We ordered the ahi tuna and we got warm bland tuna with a mild wasabi sauce. We asked for some soy sauce to revive the the tuna and that did the trick. Check please! We decided to move on and cut our losses. I was hoping for something exotic like grilled octopus and fried lobster. We plan on coming back on the boat sometime and give them a second chance. Planing on trying the burgers and the scallops. We came here for lunch and were not disappointed. The view of the lake is gorgeous and there are ample windows to enjoy that view. The service was good, but the food was awesome. I got the buffalo chicken salad, which was done a little differently. Instead of fried chicken basted with buffalo sauce, this was cubed chicken breast, not breaded, and covered in a simple and lightly flavored buffalo sauce. There was a touch of celery mixed in as well. This simple dish was presented on romaine leaves, which you could use for scooping, or cut them up as I did, for a more traditional salad. It was yummy and light tasting. My husband got the Wagyu burger and was happy. He ordered it well done and it was cooked perfectly. The fries were nice and crispy too. Service was friendly and attentive. The building itself is new and has a modern vibe, but is still cozy. There is a bar upstairs in addition to the one downstairs. Ample seating on both levels. Outdoor seating as well with umbrellas over the table. We had a good experience and hope this restaurant succeeds. There need to be more places like this in the area, quite a bit nicer than most, and a restaurant that truly takes advantage of the water views that are abundant here. Highly recommend. read more

We really enjoyed our dinner last night, as we sat outside on the deck by the lake. Food was prepared perfectly, served hot and fresh. The service was excellent (Shannon was our server). I love the location, it's very beautiful and right on the water. Both upstairs and downstairs has a great view. Live music, sitting outside at night is great and you can even come by boat. The food is fantastic. I'll be coming back for sure. read more

I've recommended this place to everyone I know. I ate here on the day they opened. Best salmon I've ever eaten. Today I drove an hour to eat the salmon again. Out of salmon today so I ordered the crusted Haddock. It had zero flavor. It's one notch above a filet o fish sandwich from McDonald's or a frozen fish stick What a huge disappointment. It costs more than the salmon but literally tastes no better than cardboard. Please take this crap off the menu, season it with used motor oil or hire a manager who can order enough food. The salmon is the very first entree listed on the menu and I bet the best selling entree on the menu but the staff / manager is too incompetent to order enough salmon ? I'm guessing it is delivered frozen so why would you not cover your ass and order plenty ? If it doesn't sell today it'll be fine to serve tomorrow. DON'T ORDER CRUSTED HADDOCK UNLESS YOU ARE PLANNING TO PURGE IN THE RESTROOM ANYWAY AND JUST WANT TO CHEW ON SOMETHING THAT TASTES ALMOST AS GOOD AS CARDBOARD. Please get you're act together on ordering and remove the bland haddock from the menu or add some seasoning to it. Compare the flavors of salmon vs haddock and try to justify the vast difference in the lack of flavor in the haddock vs the salmon or a wad of old gum stuck under a table. It has a wonderful view of the Lake. Our group came by boat and easy boat parking with with adequate roomy spaces. Great place to relax and watch water. View is best on the Lake. We had ahi tuna, big shrimp and chips, ruben, fish and chips, Portobello burger. All were reasonable priced and delicious. Wait staff and managers very attentive. We also had our boat club meeting there and everyone said it was great. They were able to service 37 of us in a reasonable time. Service was beyond compare....our waitress was constantly coming by, asking if there was anything that we needed, how did it taste, and the manager also checked with us. I had a burger, it was big, filling; and prepared with care. It was delicious. The Mushrooms we had for an appetizer were Portabella's, and prepared in a special way...excellent! The food was a bit pricey, but almost all restaurants are expensive nowadays...When it came time to pay, it was a quick process, unlike about half of the places we go to. we'll go back, again. read more

We called ahead and made a reservation for 7:30PM (2 adults). We arrived at the hostess stand at 7:15PM and told the hostess that we were a bit early and gave her our name. She immediately sat us at a clean table and told us a waitress would be right with us. The dining area both inside and out was about 80% full and the waiters and waitresses were busy, but not overly rushed. I have a habit of timing service (call me a geek) when I go to a restaurant and this visit was no different. After waiting for over 6 minutes we had a waitress stop by our table and apologize saying "Millie (not her real name) is your waitress, but she is slammed so I'll take your drink orders and she'll be over to take your food order in a minute." We gave her our drink order and off she went. 5 minutes later she returned with our drinks (a beer and an iced tea) and asked if we were ready to order. We placed our food order (cheeseburger with fries and fish and chips). This was the last time we had direct contact with anyone from the wait staff. We sat quietly and enjoyed watching the boats on the water and small talk. My timer kept running and as time got longer and longer we began to notice that servers would come out of the kitchen with food and return to the kitchen carrying the same food. In one instance a food runner walked around with a hamburger & fries for at least 5 minutes bringing it out of the kitchen and then back in several times. It was almost comical. My timer now read 25 minutes since the waitress had taken our order and we began to wonder if there was a problem. Our table in the dining area was situated such that I could see across the dining area and into the open area that led from the dining room into the kitchen. As I watched the entry and exit of staff from the kitchen I began to realize that the kitchen was in total disarray with waiters and waitresses searching through dishes of food stacked in the warming area. It seemed to me that the back of the house (from an organizational point of view) was a disaster area. By this time a full 35 minutes had transpired since we sat down at our table. We waited 5 more minutes before getting up from our seats and leaving the restaurant. I hope the management of the establishment is aware of the problem behind this horrible service and will act to correct it. I'm certain that if this happened to us, others probably experienced the same situation. I just wonder of they too exited the establishment hungry and frustarted. They have a great model in action for running up food cost and cutting into profits. Good luck ! read more

Nice new place. Prices are a bit high for what you get. Food is normally good but the two times I've been there they were understaffed and busy. Long wait at bar for food. Last time I believe they for got order or were waiting on an appetizer and had to take it to go. Quality of food is hit or miss. Still a young business working out kinks and learning a fluctuating clientele as it is weather dependent. Staff have all been nice. Anticipate timing and service will get better with time. read more

We brought our out of town guest here for an early dinner. We sat upstairs for the great view. This (late) afternoon was great. Waitress was fabulous, friendly, quick to our table. Service with drinks and our food order was without a long wait . All of our food orders were served hot and tasty. Our 2nd time here and we enjoyed. Best view of the lakes in Mount Dora, Tavares or Eustis and the restaurant is new and very nice. We had the fried mushroom appetizer and the Ruben sandwich. The mushroom were good but very heavy with the batter. The Ruben was very good but the one at Codie's on 4th avenue in Mount Dora is better. read more

Great food, great service! Rarely do I go somewhere in the area without complaint - but this place was top notch! We had the fried pickles and pretzel for apps and they were delicious! My wife and I had dinner at the LEWG last night and the best that I can say is that we had a mixed experience. There seems to be adequate parking at and across the street from the restaurant. The building and setting are very nice and set a terrific tone for a great evening. However, I would say that our waitress has had no specific training dealing with customers never cracking a smile or participating in any kind of interpersonal conversation. My wife requested three additions to her meal; a glass of water, blacken seasoning on her salmon and to have her salad dressing on the side. All three skipped. Plus she never returned during our meal to see if all was well until it was time for the bill. As for my dinner I ordered fish and chips, pretty simple, that came just slightly under cooked leaving a thin slimy film of uncooked batter between the crust and the fish. Overall experience, so so. We may try again it may have just been an odd confluence of bad ju-ju. read more

NEVER TO RETURN, A disappointment for sure, Was there 6 to 8 week ago and seemed to be a wonderful option but i was back in area and wanted to go there again and was I ever bummed out. My first visit they were still fairly new so I had some concerns that were quelled. I had the Monte Cristo, It was perfect. But now it seems they don't care to be good just trendy. I got the Monte Cristo again, thought to stay with a winner, was I shocked to see what they had done to ruin a plate of good food. Not only did price go up $1.00 to $14.99 but the sandwich was put in a type of pocket sandwich bread which reduced the size considerably and reduced the taste and quality . Served with what I believe to be grape jelly, which I had to request, and not the traditional jam. Came with a side of slaw which was just horrible, more like cabbage with watered mayo. There are many restaurants out there striving for your business that will give quality and fair pricing. Try them! These guys will be gone in a year at this rate. Just my experience. read more
