I love this place. I love most of the employees... most. We come fishing quite frequently, and the man who works here is awesome, as well as the curly sandy blonde hair girl. So helpful! The younger girl with brown hair needs to figure out how to be stelthier when trying to follow a black man around the store. Like, girl... just stop. How rude. It usually smells like donuts when you walk in, but it is actually their delicious coffee. This place definitely has tourist prices, so try to bring your own fishing bait... lures.. food.. and such. Now, if you could stop her from racial profiling people, that would be great. If she does it again, I am going to verbally embarrass her, so if you are an owner or manager, you may want to pull her to the side. It's definitely a training issue. They did it again. GREAT Customer Service Tasty food Plenty of assortment of drinks and snacks The one thing that stood out and I AM VERY PROUD of them..is they would not allow a man to bring his "dog" inside. The man claimed it was a "Service Animal" (like many people do), but the people in the market, knew it was just his dog. As a dog trainer, this is one of my biggest pet peeves...faking a Service Animal. The workers handled this confrontation very professionally and I applauded them for that! Now back to my amazing sandwiches! We bought 3...2 for lunch and one for dinner later..lol! Just the right amount of meat, bread and toppings...the slushes are addicting and the other snacks are so tempting!!! We will be back soon and I'm sure I will write another 5* review =) read more

Lets start off by pointing out this place is in the middle of no where, and a convenient shop for the campground, and the prices reflect that. You can't be mad you didn't bring enough with you and their beer is a few $ more for a 6 pack than Ralphs because it costs them more to get it out to them too. That being said, the alcohol selection is super impressive and deserves 5 stars alone, clearly they know what you run out of the most when camping. Everything from beer and wine to hard Kombucha. They have the basics for snacks and supplementing if you forgot. A small cooler of individual ice creams if you want to take the fam for an after meal walk to get a cool treat. 3 stars because their selection of RV repair bits is disappointing. There are a couple very basic things for RV repairs, but not as much as you'd hope for at a campground store. My 7-pin Trailer plug was on the fritz on the drive out there and they didn't have replacements available. Still tho, when I run out of the booze I brought because the kids are driving me nuts, they are there with plenty extra... Thank you for that. read more

It's a campsite market and it's exactly what you'd expect. There is some hot food offered for breakfast and you can buy coffee. There are frozen food options as well. There are campsite essentials as well as Lake Hemet branded gear and souvenirs. The staff are very friendly and the convenience store factor was definitely there. read more

Just stopped by for jerky like we always do coming down the mountain. The lady inside was so rude this morning. Such a horrible attitude with multiple customers including my husband. Thanks to how rude she was we did not buy jerky and plan not to return.... it was that bad. If you're going through something be a professional and leave it at home or don't come in to work. We feel bad for the tourists enjoying the mountain today and what they have to put up with....hopefully, they will return. read more

Love this place. There is a grill (check the hours) and it is just next to the Hemet campground. There is a kid by the name of 'Hunter' who is a really nice guy. If you want to spend $3.50 for a sample sized "scoop" of old ice cream, THIS IS YOUR PLACE! If you want to spend $9.99 for a package of 10 Oscar Mayer hot dogs, then you obviously love to get ripped off and THIS IS YOUR PLACE. First off, they make you wait for service. Two people "working" but no one really thinks of what they are doing as a "job". So you wait, and you wait. A very nice little market with a great staff. They have all the necessary things that one forgets to bring while camping or fishing. They are a tad expensive however when you consider their location I guarantee they are paying top dollar for delivery. Plus they let all and any use their restrooms which being in the mountain is expensive to maintain. Most places make you buy something to use the restroom for they are on a well and septic system. Got some gatorade and a pack of playing cards from the market. Skimmed the selection - they got all the camping essentials. As usual highly inflated for those who forgot to pack and were in dire craving for some Chef Boyardee. Service was almost nonexistent, but what would you expect from a campground store. Great camping market. It had absolutely everything you could need. It was like a super nice AM/PM or 7/11, PLUS a mini fish store including bate and poles, and a mini swim store with flip flops and swim suites. It has a mini coffee bar as well fountain drinks, wine and beer. They have a nice outside patio area with umbrella tables. Exceeded my expectations. read more

I stopped here for a bag of ice and picked up a "cheap" sandwich. Cheap as in just meat, cheese and 2 slices of bread. Cost me over 12 bucks. Their prices are offensive even for a convenient store in the middle of nowhere. I was in upper Yosemite the 1st of July where there's only one store and the prices there where cheaper and the sandwiches were bigger and bigger bags of ice. All at lower prices then this place. This is a good place to grab a sub sandwich in beautiful Garner Valley. It's also the only place. The service is usually mediocre at best. They have a good supply of most things you might need. The bathroom is located around back, but be warned that it can get pretty nasty! read more

I know this place doesn't suit everyone's needs to some extent, but I must write this review to let you know that the people here are truly genuine. I drive a 2011 Prius. It has the ability to drive off without its keys, so as long as your gas doesn't run out and you don't power it on. At 6:30AM I arrived at the market to use the restroom, and found that my keys weren't detected. I had driven over 60 miles from my last destination. After a whole day of panicking, Carol, the store owner, offered to help in an extraordinary way. My car was towed the maximum 100 miles away closer to my home in El Monte, at no cost. I was shocked at her generosity. I won't forget it. It's simply one of those grand gestures from a complete stranger that gives you hope for humankind. I am surprised that most Yelpers have had a poor experience here, especially when they didn't ask twice about willing to help a person in need. There were a few rude cashiers but Carol and an older bespectacled gentleman were both very nice to me throughout the day. read more

My husband and his family introduce me to this delicious beef jerky back in 2005 when we meet. it has been a traditionto call before we get there so they could put some beef jerky on the side for us (black pepper one) then drive up there grab some drinks and beef jerky pay for a day pass and go hiking. i love specifcally one lady i believe her name is Carol. very sweet we have known her for all this years now :) we even bake her some goodies for Christmas. i am extremely sad to find out this store closed down last month :(. and that it will reopen with new owners mid January :(. i wanted to order some beef jerky for thanksgiving for a family surprise and instead i get to tell my family the horrible news:(. i wish you all the best and wonderful holidays and i hope you guys reopen your doors:) you guys have always been very kind. read more

Stopped into this market on the way to my Aunts house becasue my daughter was getting car sick going through the mountains. I walked into the market and waited and waited and waited to finally ask the not so nice lady who was having a personal conversation with another co-worker where the restroom was for my daughter. She told me that the restroom was outside and around the back of the building. I walked outside and the restroom was a typical disgusting truck stop bathroom that looked like it needed to be cleaned, not even my 6 year old daughter wanted to go in there. We decided to just get back in the car and hope to make it to our destination without any accidents. I didnt buy anything here, but from the looks of it, the place looked overpriced and dirty.
