I'm a teacher. I rely on my monthly budget from work to purchase quality materials that will benefit my students. Lakeshore has great products I woild love to buy but simply cannot due to the price. I am often forced to purchase lower quality goods that don't last. When I find enriching curriculum, that's what I want to buy. Education should be affordable for teachers, too. I work with children diagnosed with autism, and this store has some really great toys that I can't find any where else. I try to stop by once every couple months because each time I go I seem to find something new and really great for my work. This is definitely the place to go if you need Melissa and Doug puzzles, tactile stimulation toys, arts and crafts, various pretend play toys, etc The list goes on and on. Great place to shop for teachers' resources. Wish this store was as big as in Henderson, LV--that store is huge! Although this location is kind of tight it still carries the resources that you need. Some things are a bit pricey but when there is a sale it is worth it. read more

I can stay here for a few hours and just peruse the aisles back and forth! Lakeshore products are quite pricey, but great quality that lasts a LONG time. There's plenty of parking at the front as well as the side and back of the store. The workers are extremely helpful and customer oriented. For parents and educators, you can find a multitude of decorative products for bulletin boards and an endless inventory of teacher resources for the classroom. I brought my baby girl here for her first time knowing she will love this place & I was right. We were immediately greeted & asked if we were looking for anything particular & let us know about some sales. The ladies that worked here was friendly & helpful to me & my baby girl. One of the ladies that was helping us was so friendly my baby girl felt comfy right away & rawring at her for fun to pretend to scare the lady hehe. Baby hailey picked out some items that were a good deal for. Some items were a lil pricey. Baby girl loved the fishing pole fishing for fishes game but it was a lil pricey so I will wait til next time when it's on sale possibly or if we get a coupon. As a teacher I used to come here annually. I showed up after a swim lesson with my toddler and let's say the staff wasn't too thrilled. Granted we were showered and had wet hair and work out clothes. Staff was pretty rude. My toddler was great. She was all tuckered out from swim and just sat in the cart. This store just doesn't have a whole lot anymore. This place I must say is a teacher's dream!! I actually spent over 1.5 hours just browsing. I liked the variety of posters, lesson plan books, manipulative toys and just about anything a teacher can dream of using in the classroom. Today the store had a back to school sale(20% off) on MANY items. I can home made myself a list of what I need and will definitely return. By the way, for those in the education field, they have a teacher's club (which I HAPPILY joined for FREE) one can become a member of that gives you 15% off hundred of selected items every day and receive advance notice of upcoming sales and events. read more

This is my favorite teaching store, I just wish it was a little bit bigger and cheaper. I think it has the best teaching games, and I love the way the games have the standards written on it. I find the staff super helpful. The downsides are that the store is a little cramped and it's way too crowded at the beginning of school! read more

Lakeshore never fails to make me cry with its excellent customer service and expensive yet useful products. I've been to this location about three times, and I always find something I didn't know I wanted or needed for my classroom. Parking is plentiful from what I could tell. They have additional parking behind the building if there's nothing available immediately in front of the store. If you need a break from kids, you might want to avoid the store on Saturdays from 11 am to 3 pm. They offer free crafts during that block of time. If an item is not available in store, employees can order it for you and have it shipped to the store for free. This is done at the register. I think those technically count as online purchases, so make sure you have the right coupon on you. Or if you don't have any shame, you can ask whether you can apply in-store coupons to that purchase. Maybe you'll get lucky. read more

I went to Lakeshore seeking quality educational toys and age appropriate advice. Had I wanted to hear about rap and duhhhh... I would have been fine, but the staff had more interest in thier earphones than me. I come here to shop for all the little children on my gift list. They have so many fun and educational toys, and I always find a perfect present. I love to bring my granddaughter here and follow her around to see what catches her eye - she's just turning 3, so many of the items here are great for her. The store is a bit compact for all of the stuff they carry, so it can be a challenge to get around if there are a lot of customers. Other than that, the staff has always been kind to me, and I find good value in the items when I consider how long they will be played with. read more
