We pulled up by boat for a late lunch with our granddaughters at 2:30 on Sunday (advertised they were open until 6:00). The dock attendant was very helpful and friendly and said "Enjoy your lunch". .The granddaughters ran ahead and were talking with the waitresses when we entered (they're 12). The waitress first told us to sit wherever we wanted (they had two customers there). Then the one behind the counter said, "Are you wanting to eat? We don't have any meals now. All we have are these five or six appetizers". The waitress looked at her and said, "I thought we were serving food" and turned to look at the kitchen where three or four people were standing around talking. "Nope. It's because it's a holiday weekend". Huh? The other waitress seemed confused. We left. As we walked back to the boat, our two granddaughters said, "Did you see that girl behind the counter winking at that other one"? I cannot figure out why a restaurant would turn customers down;they had no customers; we live right across the cove and we will NEVER be back. read more

This place is terrible. I have been waiting for a damn hour and haven't gotten my BREAKFAST yet, and it's not even packed! Waited 30 minutes for an iced tea. Next time I come to the ozarks I will be sure to never return. I've been to nicer places and been served much more promptly. read more

The breakfast was very tasty and had great presentation. Prices were competitive for lakeside dining. I ordered an omelette that was loaded with meat, veggies and cheese and it was served with hash browns, some fruit garnish and sourdough toast with a fabulous raspberry compote. We were seated quickly and our order was taken reasonably soon but for not being crowded, the food did seem to take a bit long to arrive. It was well worth the wait. Since I have a boat, parking was available at the dock to the right of the gas pumps as you come in from the water and was very convenient. read more

Do I really have to choose a rating? The staff at OYC Lakeside Café were not very welcoming. We were not greeted with smiles and our waitress did not check on us. We watched her check on the table beside us three times. We got better customer service from the ducks walking by the lake. The food taste like bad customer service. The presentation did not look like any of the pictures in the previous reviews. It was a very disappointing experience. A person should not have to experience both bad customer service and bad food at the same time. Very disappointing. YUCK!!! read more

While the food and drinks are good, unless you have 2 hours to spare I wouldn't recommend. Their service is horrible and soooo slow.

ZERO STARS. Went on Fathers Day 2013 for first time. Was told there was 30 min wait. After almost an hour, watching other groups get seated that arrived later, I was told that another group got my table. I left and never will return. Horrible management. read more

very slow waitress, waited 45 mins for food but saw other big tops get there food before us. food came out cold for all 5 meals we ordered. waitress didnt care whatsoever. wasnt about the cook or restaurant but the waitress was awful. DO NOT ASK FOR DEBBIE. 2 or 3 stars because of waitress not food. they gave us a 25% discount for the bad service. we will try it again but not anytime soon. read more

We were visiting the lake for a quick trip and wanted somewhere to eat a late breakfast/early lunch on our way out of town. This was perfect. Great classic breakfast fare but some unexpected more upscale options as well. Service was fast, extremely friendly (thanks to our server, Amy Lupardus!!), and personal. We were very disappointed today at lunch. It took forever to get our food. When I went inside to see what was taking so long, I saw half of our order just sitting there. Our waitress proceeded to bring out 1/2 our order. We waited another 5 or so minutes for the remaining of our order.... which was what we thought was going to be 2 chicken Caesar wraps with the dressing on the side. However, we were given two wraps with only cheese and lettuce and soaked in dressing! We aren't sure why the 2 lettuce wraps took so much longer to make than a cheeseburger and 2 cold, barely grilled grilled cheese sandwiches. We didn't complain about the chicken because we didn't want to wait any longer than we already had!!! Very disappointing as my parents have been before and had a much better experience. read more

We went as a big group and pretty much got everything on the menu. I had the Destroyer and it was great. My wife had the crab omelet and it was great too. Everybody loved their food. The portions were quite big and the service was awesome. The place is a little hard to find but is very clean and has great view. Everyone wanted to go back the next day for lunch. read more

Stayed here with the family over the weekend. We went to breakfast with about 8 people. Could not have asked for a better breakfast outside bye the lake. Hash browns were crispy, bacon was thick cut and probably cooked properly in the oven due to the evenness. Probably the most important part were the eggs, I had over easy and they were actually over easy which is easier said than done. My family had the omelettes and the eggs Benedict and they all gave 2 thumbs up as well. Just remember to go inside first to be seated. I am in the restaurant industry and breakfast is a sign of a good establishment. The waitress was super busy too but she still filled up our drinks multiple times and was on her game and friendly while being busy. So much so that she even got a little extra cash on the side. Never got her name(cute little blonde young woman:) but thanks again for making Sunday breakfast awesome!! read more

This is hands down one of the best restaurants in the Ozarks, the restaurant is very new, clean, and the service was great. I would suggest bringing the family and friends to grab breakfast or lunch! read more

Ate breakfast on Sun, Aug 9th around 11:30. My husband (who hates buffets) had the buffet and couldn't rave enough about the quality of food. I had my usual awesome omelet and was once again super happy with it. Screwdrivers were yummy too. The "kitchen" is located inside and sometimes it does take a little time for food to arrive, but it's the lake and that's not unusual at any eating establishment, so go in with the right frame of mind. Can't say enough about the staff and food, though. Can't wait to go back and now I'm going to try the Wine Galley this weekend, sounds awesome too! read more

My husband and I went here, and the food was good besides my husband not getting the toast he ordered with his meal. The reason I'm giving them two stars though is because there are signs outside that say "please wait to be seated" so we waited there. Then a waitress came up to us and told us to go see a host inside, So we do and she says she will be with us in a moment. Then another random waitress came to us and told us we could sit wherever, so we go and choose a seat. Then after sitting and waiting for about 20min with no one coming to wait on us, my husband got up to go get someone. (Let me also tell you the place wasn't even busy, the waitresses were sitting around to busy talking to each other.) The food also took longer than we expected for us just to get some breakfast. So the food was good, but the service was horrible. I think they need to train there waitresses a little better about commutation and work ethic. We won't be returning... read more
