This place is an old bar on the edge of Walled Lake that's been around for many years. They have Burger night on Mondays with Trivia and Karaoke later in the week. It's just a small little place with a lot of heart. The service staff is usually the bartenders also, and they are all very kind and attentive. It's not the most upscale place, but it's a great favorite for a bite to eat and a couple of drinks, that always has a chair available for you. Sometimes you end up having a better time at the smaller places, where you're not treated like a number and they can spend more time with you. Sounded great except when we got there we were told that you had to buy drinks and all toppings are extra so two burgers ended up being $25. This was a good find- thanks Yelp! It's right across the street from a lake, so it's great to sit on the patio. I wouldn't make the drive here to sit indoors, but the patio was great. The food was good, although their menu wasn't updated so the waitress had to tell us some things that changed, all of which of course are now more expensive. It would have been nice to have menus that accurately reflected the foods and prices, even if they had just been temporary disposable printed out sheets or something. read more

Food didn't taste right and I was right. Felt nauseated soon after. Potato salad was warm :-(

The place itself was cute and the drinks were cheap. We sat on the patio on a nice day, there was only one server and she was also the bartender which meant she was running around trying to do everything, although it is not her fault everywhere is short staffed. I got the sagakani and mini tacos, the mini tacos were just like any other frozen brand you can get at the grocery store but the sagakani was quite possibly the worst I've ever had. It was so thin and completely stuck to the hot skillet making it nearly impossible to eat since you had to scrape it off with a fork to even enjoy a bite. The view is beautiful, our fajitas were delish, the servers were great. On way out, stopped in restroom, it was lunch on Saturday so they had not been open long. It was very dirty, floors looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a month. As a restaurant, I would accept different. However with Covid and staff shortages, this could happen. Boy, this restaurant teeters between two and three stars. The view pushes it to three, but it could easily go to two. The food is OK overall, but the salad I got had slimy cucumbers - yuck! On the plus side, the sweet potato fries are tasty. Everything else Hubby and I ordered was OK, but nothing memorable. read more

Went here with some buddies from work. I had the 16oz strip streak cooked med rate. It was awesome. My husband had the salmon and there was not a piece left on his plate. One of the guys had the 16oz ribeye and again nothing left on his plate. The crowd is a bit older than I'd like and I'm in my late 40's. The parking sucks! This is one of the best dives in the area for food, hands down. It ain't pretty but it's got a view of Walled Lake and really good fish/ burgers on the menu. Beer is run of the mill but they do offer $4 20 ouncers and pints of certain types. They also have keno, a digital jukebox, live music, and good TVs for sports. The bar itself is small and the kitchen even smaller. We managed to squeeze out our food orders during a strong thunderstorm even though their power went out and the hood on their grill didn't work, they pushed through it with 90 degree temps outside. They even bought us a round for the problems! Very amicable servers and comfy atmosphere. Will go back for sure especially on Thursdays when their best specials are usually the best. Highly recommend the trout, or pretty much anything! It's all good. read more

I visit the Lakeview Bar & Grill quite often. Usually in the afternoon for a couple of beers and something to get me to dinner time. I find the service is exceptional, especially Stacie, the day shift bartender/waitress. She is amazing as she handles the bar and sitting area along with the "Keno players". She takes care of the whole place except for the kitchen cooking. And the cook (Mirash) is great too! Gets the food out quickly and tasty too! The food is typical bar type entrees, sandwiches and appetizers. But the food is better than many other bars. It is quite good and reasonably priced. Their "happy hour" runs from 10AM until 7PM with great prices. Before the virus "problems and resultant shutdowns, they had "live" music on Wednesday and Saturday evenings. Currently it is not scheduled but I have heard that it will return after the pandemic has passed and all the social distancing conditions are removed. So if you are in the area and are looking for a "new" place to try or just looking for a good neighborhood bar, you have to visit The Lakeview Bar & Grill on old Novi Road and 13 Mile Road, across the road from Pavilion Park. You can easily see Walled Lake from the front windows.. But be advised that parking is somewhat limited as it seems each customer arrives in their own car. read more

Imagine a total dive, ghetto ass bar with a drop ceiling that at one point in time was white, but which is now so disgustingly discolored from smoke and covered in spiderwebs that you can't stop looking up at it the whole time you are in the place. That's the Lakeview Bar. Gross. But hey, the beer that the old, overweight, cranky waitress brings is cold. I went in there again last night to play keno and have a beer and guess what? Someone decided they were really gonna class the place up. Yup! They had SPRAY PAINTED THE NASTY ASS CEILING BLACK. No new tiles needed here! This place is a lot of fun, but that is relative based on what you are looking for. They had a band and usually do on Saturday nights, and even though this place is not huge, always have a bunch of people (all ages) dancing and having a blast. Everyone has always been friendly to us, and we usually have no problem making friends with the others when there. Now what is really funny is, another reviewer commented on the place being like a "bar"...its interesting to me because after all it is called Lakeview "Bar" & Grill...not Ruth's Chris or Spago ! They don't try to pretend they are something they are not. That being said, this place has a pretty decent view of the lake, which is cool for a "bar". They serve good food that is prepared well. Their prices on food and beverage are very inexpensive, considering most places really tend to jack their prices up when a band is playing...not the case here. Hey, this place is what it is - a neighborhood bar. I've lived nearby for almost two years and came in to have a steak, a beer (okay two), and to catch the UM/ND game. My neighbors have given the place a good review and I agree with their assessment. The waitresses were friendly and fast, the beer was cold and cheap, the steak was the perfect kind of "medium", and the whole bill was great. It's a little bit of "everybody knows everybody" kinda place, but they treated me right. This is a good little restaurant right off the lake. Three of the people in our party had some derivation of chicken, and it was all delicious- perfectly grilled, really juicy, and of great size. The fries were okay, though not great. I also liked the beer selection- not a lot of special stuff on tap, but some interesting craft options in the bottle. Ok- stumbled unto this place after mt. biking at Lakeshore Park on a Friday at lunch hour. Service is great, beer is cold and the grilled chicken breast was excellent. However, while licking my wounds (really just bleeding out on the deck) from a serious tumble in the woods, a young lady approached from the rear. It took a moment for me to realize that she was in very, very skimpy lingerie. Apparently we had stumble into an hour long stripper wannabe show during lunch, which consisted of hot young girls modeling intimate apparel for the patrons and selling "raffle tickets." There I was on the deck, over looking the lake with cars whizzing by trying to avoid a half naked girl scamming money off me by selling raffle tickets to win porn cds or a tee-shirt. About five minutes before the young lady appeared, I was saying "my wife would love this place" because of the nice view of the lake and good food. Its a local place - always busy, don't let the full parking lot trick you - there are still available tables. There a fair number of regulars - careful on trivia night they seem to think they own the place. A decent selection of food - nightly entry specials - fish and chips are a good value. Wait staff is friendly - sometime a little over taxed - but they try hard. A couple of big TV screens, but there is a nice view of the southern side of Walled Lake. Worth dropping in. read more

OK, we went by this place many times & did not stop here for some reason. It's right across from Walled Lake & has a nice lake view. A local watering hole but a gem. Anyway the three of us just recently ate here. What a great eating experience that we had. All three of us agreed that the food and service was top notch. We all ordered different steaks & they came out the way we ordered them cooked. Excellent strip & rib eye & chopped sirloin. The waitress Whitney was very attentive, friendly & served us well. Went here the other night. Had much more than just bar food. My husband said the white fish was very good. It was a hot day and the gazpacho was an excellent selection to see on the menu. It was delicious with the crunchy croutons and nice pieces of cucumber. The chicken sandwich was moist and very flavorful much better than other places. The pan sautéed potatoes and with bits of onion were very nice and the truly homemade fresh potatoes chips were some of the best. Unfortunately the Lakeview slim Jim was very disappointing. The bread was not grilled or even hot and there wasn't much ham. It had an overpowering thousand island dressing. It was just a cold boring ham sandwich. I was really bummed since the other food was so delicious. We sat outside on the tiny patio which was ok a bit noisy but it was rush hour so what could you expect. Server was good and attentive , she was sooo busy it was crowded and it looked like she was the only waitress. Heard they have music sometimes- we will be back. read more

We were here a few months ago for a karaoke night with Mary and Center Stage Entertainment. Had a blast!! Great drinks and good service. Nikki wSas tending and she's awesome. Crowd was great! I love this lil place. We were surprised to find it not packed to the walls, the day after Thanksgiving, at 6:30 p.m. Great service and great food. It's pub/down home cooking. Hubs and I had the fish and chips and our son had the fried shrimp dinner. It was all served hot and great portions, at a fair price. The clam chowder was delish.
