Sell, sell, sell. Meeting with one person and another comes in and she clearly thinks she's a "closer" on selling me more. They also try to TELL ME i am tired and not sleeping well .... in fact no. They just ASSUME all people are suffering from the things they want to sell. The supplements wall in the front is very telling ... they can push supplements all day long and not be "wrong", its all subjective. They also apparently think we are stupid and that we will blindly follow along anyone in a white lab coat says ... when in fact people have wised up and advocate for their own health and do the learning. The Lam Clinic is an excellent center for alternative ,integrative and medical care. I have been using Dr. Carrie and her PA Dr Jenny for over a year now and am super pleased with the results and care I received. They are well versed in many health issues and overall help a person to find balance. In addition to being integrative, they are also MD. Lam Clinic used to excellent but has seemed to get too busy to care anymore about responding to patients and pharmacies! Lam Clinic has failed to respond now for over a week to CVS pharmacy to refill needed prescriptions I am already taking! I was forced due their inaction to get my hormones prescribed now by my Gynecologist! I ran out due to their lack of response! I was also forced to go to an endocrinologist to get my diabetes treated! They failed to respond the many times I called them regarding severe side effects of the diabetes medications I was prescribed! Now if Lam Clinic continues to fail me I will have to go to the endocrinologist to get my needed treatment for my hypothyroidism and medication too! I cannot express how sad and disappointed I am now with the Lam Clinic! I have been going there for years now it was an excellent clinic before and now the quality of care has slipped dramatically and they just seem to want to sell you supplement's and IV treatments now! Any time you need a prescription or help it takes days to even get a response if they bother to respond at all! They say they will email a provider and have to wait up to a week for a response! That is too long and unacceptable! I have run out of prescriptions because of this inaction by Lam Clinic! Now they announced they will be going concierge for Dr Jeremy and Dr Carrie you will have to pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket in order to see either doctor! If you can't afford this they will still take insurance but you will not be allowed to see a Dr anymore only a Nurse Practitioner! read more

I was referred to the Lam clinic by another doc I really respect. He felt with all my weird issues I need a functional pcp. Really all I needed was someone to RX and run labs My initial consult was supposed to be an hour. dr Jeremy lam spent maybe 20 minutes with me and asked questions that were totally irrelevant and gave him no insight into what my life was like and how compromised I am He then prescribed $60 for 30 caps of something I told him I took and it didn't help. He then wanted me to do some other stuff which, if he bothered to ask some really questions, he would have known I could not do. I have never felt so unheard. I called the next day and resigned from the Lam Clinic. He wasn't doing anything I haven't done for years and sure don't need a doc for that stuff. So now I have to find a doc not afraid of the DEA who can RX meds I need. Something's a botanical just can't fix something. This is yet another clinic that promises to fix the root of the problem. Been there done that. Done with them. Oh one thing no one had mentioned. You will get slammed with emails and texts. I got more reminder texts and emails in a week than I've gotten all year. They send it by text and email. It's so intrusive. I'm not an idiot and I don't need a call an hour before my appointment to remind me I have an appointment. I have been disabled for 25 years from Chronic Late Stage Disseminated Lyme Disease. It is very difficult to diagnose and treat. Lyme is a dangerous spirochete (4 forms), multi-systemic, and can affect any part of the body or mind. Lyme can come with 20+ co-infections and it mimics 300 diseases. It can also cause ANY mental illness if it crosses the blood/brain barrier. When you treat it, you can get sicker before getting better and have what is called a Herxheimer reaction. It is not easy to treat. For 11 years, I have been driving from Orange County to Pacific Beach, San Diego to get treatment. 1 1/2 hours each way. This was my only option at that time. Not many doctors diagnose or treat Chronic Lyme. With chronic fatigue being the worst symptom, it was exhausting to say the least. And extremely difficult. I was only able to go 1x per month. I could only go if I was well enough to make the drive. The Lyme doctor in San Diego is overwhelmed, and no longer takes new patients. I been going to Lam CLinic since July 16, 2020. The clinic is in Tustin, so it is about 1/2 an hour from me. When you are chronically exhausted, this is a huge deal! I see Dr. Carrie Lam. She is an excellent doctor. She is smart, very aware, and has a vast amount of medical knowledge. Also, she is professional and very kind. Dr. Carrie has helped me so much to get on a plan and get better. Lam clinic combines both eastern and western medical practices. They have many alternative treatments available to help you get well, (i.e., Infrared Laser Pad Lights (for neck, back, knees, and wrists pain), Accupressure Points Infrared Lasers (my knee pain, but any pain), Infrared Laser Helmut (brain healing), PEMF ("Pulse Electromagnetic Field Mat"), Infrared Neck Collar, Hydrogen Therapy, Ozone Cannula, Ozone water, Ozone IV's ("MAH"), Myers IV's, Glutathione IV's, Ozone Vaginal Insufflation; Ozone Rectal Insufflation; Allergy Immunotherapy, WAVI Neurocognitive Testing, Supplementation. There is a lot to be said for Christians who stand by God's Word. They have a great work ethic and a true desire to help you get well! I know this might sound weird. But I was praying for healing. Then I received these mysterious emails about this clinic. After my first visit with Dr. Carrie Lam, she prayed with me. What doctor does that? I am very grateful. I hesitate to give an unfavorable review, only because I truly believe in the work of Dr Michael Lam and his mission to help people overcome adrenal fatigue. His books are fantastic and have been very helpful. Initially I was very hopeful when I stumbled upon Dr Lam through adrenal fatigue searches, because I had just about given up. I had just about given up many times in the past because medical professionals do not understand this complex issue. It was comforting to know that finally someone understood and would be able to help me. Unfortunately, I no longer feel so confident that it is the right fit for me. The Dr Lam I have been working with is one of the children of Dr Michael Lam. My experience with the clinic has been a rocky road which has at times left me feeling confused and disappointed. I have felt dismissed when I ask questions, and if I do not embrace everything that Dr Lam throws at me. I also feel that I am being rushed at my appointments, every single time. I cannot stress that one enough!! I have timed them and am lucky to get 6 or 7 minutes at most before being cut off. The doctor has often seemed to be annoyed at me. Pretty much anything that I ask or want to bring up that is off their script seems to be annoying. My confidence in the practice lessened once I saw that much of the office staff is outsourced, to where I do not know. You are frequently transferred to different people or departments, who are obviously not in the office. And the "coaching", what is that? I do not understand the difference between a coaching appointment and having an appointment with the doctor. I have asked and the answers I received did not make much sense. There is a huge online and social media presence, and their own supplement line. That raised a red flag for me. I've run into adrenal fatigue specialists in the past who end up trying to sell a one-size-fits-all treatment plan, pre-set protocol, online webinars, coaching, etc. I felt a sense of dread once I saw that this was not the specialty focused family practice that I thought and hoped it to be. It's a big business. And kudos to them for their success. because by going big, the information will reach more people who are searching for answers and need help. Maybe they will find it here. Ultimately, I don't think it's the right place for me, but I do believe the doctors understand adrenal fatigue. And because they are MD's, they do accept insurance, which is not the case with naturopathic practitioners. read more

I agree with another reviewer who said, "If you have a serious medical issue, avoid this place." I could see how someone who is feeling a little burnt out from work but otherwise has a strong immune system could benefit from this coaching. Key word is COACHING; I would not consider this clinic as a substitute for a PCP. The Lam Clinic only specializes in adrenal fatigue. If you have underlying issues, they will not treat them with urgency. This is what happened to me. I started seeing the clinic around June 2021 with what seemed to be hypothyroidism & major fatigue. In each appointment I had (which last all but 5-10 minutes), I was met with a lack of bedside manners (not ideal but okay), and a request to purchase 3-5 supplements EACH TIME via their own supplement company. Most of the supplements did not have a significant effect or caused a reaction, all the while costing about $100-300 each time. I probably spent thousands of dollars with the Lam Clinic over the course of 10 months. Finally, I then asked for a clear health plan and an order for a blood test to check my progress. Not only had my TSH skyrocketed, but my liver enzymes were overloaded from the excess of supplements I had been instructed to take. My vitamin D levels went down even though I had been taking their Vitamin D supplements for months. I was furious, I stopped seeing them immediately and went somewhere else. In that year of seeing both Dr. Carrie and Dr. Jeremy Lam, my health had worsened and due to the neglect of my thyroid, and I developed an autoimmune disorder I did not have before seeing them. Should I add I am only in my early 20s??? All in all, this place is run like a business. Do not expect to be treated like an individual and given a personalized health plan. Do not expect clear answers about their methods or goals for your health. And last but not least, do not expect kindness from the staff as all but 2 employees don't seem miserable working there. This place is a money pit. I am currently on 10 supplements purchased from them and scared it will affect my liver in the long run as I have been instructed to stay on them for 2 months to resolve my SIBO. They want everyone and their mother to do IV treatments, little does everyone know they hire incapable staff who are not trained and very unprofessional with terrible bedside manner. I asked what was in my IV and I looked at my blood panel and I was not deficient in anything they were giving me. The IV's are just a way for them to make money. The first time I got an IV I came out black and blue as well as when I had to get blood taken in office. The second time I got an IV I LITERALLY bled out. Greta said "the button came loose." I am laughing while writing this because it is truly comical. I demanded a call from Dr. Lam after this incident. Even though I asked for a call back the same day, I received a call 3 days later. He called me and didn't give me a chance to talk about my traumatic IV experience. I asked after is this normal and he said "yes." I asked family in the medical field, they said they have never heard of such a thing. Dr. Lam did not even give an apology. Greta the IV "specialist" also used the same gloves on a man giving him an IV, then came over to me, without switching the gloves and gave me a shot. I could definitely report this to Medical Board. I do not believe Lam Clinic is functioning ethically or safely. I visited an endocrinologist with my Lam Clinic test results and the doctor laughed and said good luck with insurance, the "physical" they had me do with stupid tests such as a balance test costs thousands of dollars. This experience was a 2 hour physical with blood work. The endocrinologist was in disbelief they run allergy tests and said my results are 100% not accurate because they do not specialize in allergy testing. I also requested my thyroid ultrasound results to my endocrinologist and Lam Clinic sent everything but that. My endocrinologist called and demanded the results immediately. They are so unprofessional and for lack of better term, dumb. The endocrinologist literally told me do not go back to Lam Clinic. I should've listened. I paid over $400 for a test and they lost it in the mail. I was asked to come in to meet with the "nutritionist" and I insisted that I know everything about the Fodmap diet to Dr. Lam but he really wanted me to meet with her. I went in to the clinic, paid my co-pay, she asked me questions and gave me absolutely zero information. I don't want to be rude because she is nice but I honestly think she doesn't have any knowledge about nutrition or at least more than the average person or if she does she does not know how to convey it. Dr. Lam looks for any excuse for an appointment, shot, IV, or supplement because that equals money in him and his wives pocket. Last but not least, the people answering the phones for the clinic are 100% not based in the US. You can never hear them because of bad connection or understand them with their strong accent. I called in once and said my pharmacy never received their prescription request. The clinic called in diabetic test strips when I am not diabetic. Just comical at this point. Why did I keep going to the clinic? I am not sure. Maybe for laughs. I will never step foot in Lam Clinic ever again. Lam Clinic? More like Scam Clinic. read more

What in the lack of customer service? I used to come in and was warmly greeted by Lupe, but it looks as though she is either gone or in the back. The staff at the front might as well not be there.
