I've been looking for Georgian/Armenian food to try in Vancouver ever since I got back from my trip there and I found this place. Been meaning to go for a while but since it's so far from me, I didn't get a chance until yesterday. We were greeted by the friendly and welcoming owners. I believe it's family-run. The food and atmosphere is cute and cosy. I'm vegetarian and wish they had more veggie options such as vegetarian kinkali. But I'm glad they have katchapuri (one of the main reasons I sought this place). I tried Adjarian katchapuri but it wasn't as liquidy as I tried in Georgia or with very much cheese in general, but I thinking they said you can't find that type of cheese here. I has been there a few times. The food is really great as well as hospitality. Owners are very nice and welcoming. In my visits I had a few issues, one was when we came with a larger company, they messed up with orders. We had to wait and go downstairs a few times to get some part of our order. However, the owner apologized and finally sent my order, but it took about 30 minutes or so, and a few travels downstairs. I believe it happened because they were overcrowded and someone might mixed up. When we were alone, there were no such as issues. However, the most important problem is the parking, which is a nightmare. They have only 2 parking spaces # 128, I asked if I can park to the 130, they said it should be fine. I parked, but someone broke the door handle of my car, while I was at the restaurant, now I need to pay to get a new handle, and my car has a rare color, so it's pretty expensive. Another day I parked on 132, again asked prior to park if it's OK, and they told us yes, that their neighbors allow to park, but this time it also ended up bad, Asian guy employee from 132 business on a van came, started beeping and hitting my car, he was extremely aggressive. He blocked all the cars, and started yelling. I understand they have this parking issues, the owners agreed between themselves, but why their employees allow themselves to damage customers' car. Second time in a row!!! Already broke the handle prior to it. We're did not have time to call police at that point of time. I decided to write here to share, please beware of the crazy employees from the neighborhood businesses. I hope the owner of the place would consider to move his restaurant to a larger place with a larger parking lot and more adequate neighborhood businesses. Overall if no damaged car, the food was really great, one of the best Caucasian food I ate so far. The elevator for the food and a few games upstairs were also entertaining. read more

Listen...... This was place was hard to find, but worth the struggles. It's located in an industrial warehouse area. But again, the struggle was worth. Second.... If you come in with struggles, you will come out with NO struggles. GUARANTEED. Its a nice little cozy place near the water. It has a home-y feel and an outdoor seating option. Customer service is top-notch. I didn't like the lamb soup at all (way too greasy) but absolutely loved the vegan borscht. Lavash is perfect. Jingle bread is my personal favourite, always refreshing, light and flavourful. Beef pide is okay but not extraordinary, but the cheese one was a huge disappointment. The Imeretian khachapuri is lovely and so is the burek-style cheese khachapuri. Their Napoleon is one joy of a dessert and highly recommended. They are a bit of a drive from us but their prices are hard to beat. Everything is consistently fresh and takes homemade in a good sense. Do check them out. read more

First of all, very hospitable and welcoming owner Serge. He takes orders with care and gives the best advice. Secondly, the quality of food is extremely high, it is tasty and smells delicious. We tried khinkali, jumbo beef kebab wrap with ayran and khachapuri (pide)with basturma. Thirdly, portions are heavy enough, so save some room for dessert! They bake Napoleon cake, baklava, and cheesecake. Ideal place for take away because there is not enough room for a big company, 4 tables only. I only wish there could be a wine list, but I know how hard it is to get a license in Vancouver. Good luck to the owners. Went on yelp and saw this place was a few mins away. It's in a weird location with a lot of commercial buildings and you would never find it if you don't see the small sign out front pointing in. It's a small mom-and-pop shop with a few tables. Owner said the chicken wrap is popular so I went with that. My eyes lit up when I saw him bring out my order. It was GIGANTIC with huge chunks of tender chicken thigh, red pepper, onions with Armenian herbs and spices all stuffed in lavash bread, which is a very thin flatbread. So tasty, healthy, and not greasy at all! Everything is made fresh to order and watched him cut the ingredients and put my kebabs on the grill. If you're not a big eater it's probably enough for 2 meals, but I destroyed that wrap and am now in a food coma. I will definitely be back since it's so close to me. I wish I took some pictures but I didn't think I would be writing a review since I've never done so before, but this place deserves more love! read more

There were 8 of us -- all with unique eating regimes and hungry. The menu provided meatlovers, poultry preferences, vegan and vegetarian options, and the owners (Serge and Anna) accommodated those with gluten-free, nightshade allergies and dairy restrictions! Each dish was beautifully prepared (we ordered virtually the whole menu -- and some things a few times over!), delicious beyond words, well-explained re origin and variety, and nothing was overlooked. Even the soorj (try not to ask for Turkish Coffee) was perfect! The location, layout and hours are awkward for dinner (they close at 7pm and are in a business strip mall), the decor very basic, but the gracious hosts and fab food make it worth the adventure. Came here a few months ago with my meet up group as we wanted to try more Middle Eastern eateries just to change the pace for a bit. I have been hearing a lot of their open face bread with toppings (sorry I forgot the actual name of the type of the bread). The bread came in two with some ground beef and spices. I tried Pide Beef, Lamajoun pizza (small), chicken BBQ, and dumpling. They were all good. Pide was very tasty. Chicken was the least satisfying maybe a little too dry. We spent a month in Georgia in 2016 and have been longing for khachapuri and khinkali ever since! Lamajoun definitely filled that void. The khachapuri was every bit as rich and decadent as we hoped, and the khinkalis transported us back to those late nights in Tblisi when we would share a litre of wine and voraciously dig into those billowing, soupy dumplings. We also got the jingle bread, which was a beautiful pastry filled with greens, lamajoun, which is a flat bread with a meaty topping (highly recommend adding the salad as suggested), and homemade ayran that tastes exactly like the tangy, frothy drink we used to get in Turkey. For dessert we got the Napoleon cake. It was flaky, creamy, and not too sweet. It paired very nicely with jazzve coffee. Really highly recommend checking this place out! If you've never tried any of these dishes before, what are you waiting for? I was searching around for a good healthy lunch for my kid, thinking of price and of taste of course and one of my friends suggested to try a lamajoun from this small bakery. It smelled fantastic and it was very, very tasty, especially with feta cheese and with tomato. It reminds me of my mom's breakfast when I was a child. Mmm, yummy!
