My wife and I made this restaurant a stop on our anniversary for over ten years. We would stay at the neighboring Bed and breakfast and go here for dinner. We have never had a bad experience, and if a problem did arise, the staff always goes out of their way to rectify the situation. The wine selection is great and in the winter they offer a wild game menu. I have never had a complaint about the menu offerings, which does change and new items are featured every so often. I've been here twice, and the food is consistently good. We shared a Greek salad, crab cake sandwich and the omelette special (with caramelized onions and apples). The salad was the standout, though the omelette was pretty decent as well. I didn't care much for the sandwich, though my mom really enjoyed it -- I thought there was too much breading on the crab cake and not enough meat, which made it soggy and mushy. The espresso martini was delish, and a very generous pour, as they give you a little carafe to refill your glass. Our server was an expert: attentive without pestering. He also offered to split everything for us in the kitchen, which was a classy touch. It's a very cute spot with tables in the window to watch the passersby. On a cooler day, it would be lovely to sit at the outdoor tables for a view of the creek that runs along the exterior. My wife and I came here for our 14th wedding anniversary. I always try to find someplace new for anniversary and birthday dinners. It's a very casual place with a higher end menu. We skipped appetizers. My wife had the pan seared salmon with baby bok choy and maple mustard sauce, paired with a glass of super Tuscan wine. I was brave and went with the ribeye with mashed potatoes and onion rings, l washed mine down with their old fashioned made with Bulleit instead of Buffalo Trace (they were out). I made a reservation for four and specified where we wanted to sit which didn't seem to be an issue. When we arrived the person greeting us had no notation of where we wanted to sit. We ordered drinks but the waitress didn't come back so a half hour later I went over and asked for bread. Two of us had shrimp and scallops with polenta which was very very greasy. One person had a rather small rack of lamb and the other a disappointing piece of salmon. This used to be our favorite place but not anymore. Worst customer service ever. So disorganized and rude. I booked the easter brunch a month and a half in advance. They require a credit card to place a "hold" of $75. They charged me- the charge went through- and I got charged multiple times. I left 6 messages for Garrett the manager and 2 emails. No response. Then on Easter day they tell me my reservation isn't for the buffet- it's for the restaurant a la cart. Absolutely untrue. I spoke to them 6 times about my buffet charge! They only let me go to the buffet after showing them my credit card statement and phone log. They were so incredibly rude about it- kept rolling their eyes like out was my fault! The ambiance is pleasant. we were originally a party of four, which, with a phone call, they obliged us to a party of six. We were taken aback when we got there to find no open parking; only valet parking for $10. I ordered the Poke Chicken, a well-composed dish consisting of chicken, brown rice, cucumbers, kimchi, sesame seeds and avocado. I looked forward to a tasty and healthy brunch. In theory, well- thought out...in practice, poorly executed. It is sad when the protein we consume dies twice--once at the hands of the butcher and again by the kitchen that does not care what goes out to the tables! The chicken was cubes of dry breast meat. 10/25/24: We worked up an appetite after walking around Lambertville, NJ and New Hope, PA. We decided to eat at the Lambertville Station Restaurant. We wanted to sit outside, but it was a 45 min.waiting list. (Best to make reservations for outside seating.) So, we decided to eat inside. The wait was only less than 10 minutes. Anyway, we sat by the window and had a nice outside view. Drinks: We started out with Beer and a Duckhorn Chardonnay. Lunch: Next, we ordered a Lobster and Crab Salad and Turkey Panini. The food was okay. Dessert: We shared a Fig Chiboust. It was unique and delicious! Definitely the star of this afternoon's meal. Service was actually very good,considering there were very few servers. Street parking is available. Parking is available at the hotel if you're a guest. It appears to be monitored. Lambertville Station is the halfway point between family members and is where we stay and eat when meeting up. The food and service are always top notch even when busy. The food presentation, potion size and flavor are great. One must have when I dine here is the lobster bisque. Had brunch here today with my family of 5. Non of us really cared for our meals. All of our meals were ice cold, portions were very small and lacking in the taste category. Specifically, the French toast and eggs special literally only had a half a piece of French toast, one egg and a tiny amount of potatoes and it was all cold and flavorless. Steak and eggs had the smallest steak I have ever seen with again only 1 egg and about 3 bites of potatoes. I don't mind spending $28 for that dish but not when it is a kid sized portion and I left the meal hungry. On a positive note....the place is gorgeous and very welcoming. The service was also excellent and the valet parking was a huge positive on a busy Sunday. Unfortunately at $160 total check for a meal no one really liked, I don't think we will be back. read more

Overall...good but not a "wow." Service was sweet and attentive but at the same time very slow for each course. We were happy not to be rushed as the six of us enjoyed being together, however, It took way too long to get cocktails once ordered. Apparently only one bar running for the whole large restaurant. We were seated upstairs...Hubby's ice melted in his scotch by the time he got it and as a result the melted ice just watered down his drink. At least it was a generous pour. Food was plentiful but just ok. A $25 hamburger was not the best as it should have been for the price. Calamari was the standout. Nice portion and very tender. I ordered the chicken milanese which is one of my go to dishes. It was a lot of food...could have fed 3 people...however, chicken was a bit over cooked, tasteless and the salad on top had just too much stuff in it. It was quantity but not quality. I wouldn't order it again. Our friend's enjoyed the duck. The pork chop looked good. Jambalaya was just OK for some reason. For the overall price it was not a memorable dinner. What I did appreciate was being able to carry on a conversation without having to shout as it was not noisy. Sooo many popular restaurants are just too noisy for my liking. We really enjoyed the dining area on the upstairs level. I ordered a second martini which I ended up canceling bc we were finished eating and it still hadn't arrived. Once I canceled it, it arrived shortly after anyway and it was given to me complementary. I appreciated the gesture, but would have preferred it sooner. Inspite of the lack luster food we enjoyed the comfortable seating, atmosphere and being with our friends. Parking cost $5 to just park in their lot. The best crispy Calamari i had in a long time. The order looks like a main course as it is huge and comes with 4 sauces. I was thinking of canceling my main course :p but how can one cancel a burger? I ordered the beef burger, which was awesome. You can decide on 2 sides, I went for mushrooms and peppers. The tomatoes and onions were fresh and the patty was juicy (even at medium well- IKR!!!). My friend had steak frites equally good. Got our drinks in the basement, they have a nice bar area. My friend enjoyed her Reisling and my drink a Manhattan was pretty smooth! We enjoyed brunch at Lambertville Station today and were warmly greeted upon arrival. Both the host and the staff member who seated us were polite, professional, and made a strong first impression. Unfortunately, our experience declined once service began. Our waitress, Ann Marie, seemed disengaged, and her interactions ultimately came across as unprofessional and discourteous. We ordered a salad to share, a guacamole toast, and a small fruit salad. We later realized the guacamole toast included hollandaise sauce--an unusual pairing, but ultimately our oversight. Rather than sending it back, we asked if another guacamole toast could be prepared without the hollandaise for my sister. Unfortunately, the replacement arrived without both the hollandaise and the guacamole. Wanting to be respectful of the service staff and avoid further inconvenience, we requested a side of guacamole to add ourselves. What arrived was a few slices of avocado--not what we expected, but we accepted it and moved on. At the end of the meal, I asked if a small remaining piece of avocado could be boxed to take home. The response was unexpectedly uncomfortable. Ann Marie reacted with visible surprise, saying "that?" and then abruptly walked over to a colleague, gesturing toward what I had requested while pointing in my direction--close enough that it was clearly noticeable. The interaction felt dismissive and embarrassing. Her colleague appeared uncomfortable as well. I left feeling disappointed, particularly because so many other staff members had worked hard to create a pleasant brunch atmosphere. While I ultimately left a 15% gratuity out of respect for the team effort, the service experience detracted significantly from what otherwise could have been an enjoyable morning. read more

Excellent, dim lit, huge windows with a nice view restaurant. Price is moderate considering its history and location. Lots of options for food, including seafood and steak. We got the prime pork and basically it's a thick pork chop but it was very juicy and not dry. We also tried the rustic flatbread and that was very filling. Everyone there was nice and friendly- a perfect spot to eat after taking in a local play. We had reservations and were seated right away. Atmosphere was my type of place when dining out...clean, minimalistic, and not loud. Tables are set up in a row next to their wall of windows so you enjoy the beautiful outside. Made a reservation for Mother's Day for dinner. Paid a deposit. No problem. When we arrived there was what can be described as complete anarchy at the host station. The attendant there was rude to the wife, (on Mother's Day), was constantly making passive aggressive comments under her breath while we waited (my wife and I and two kids) for about fifteen minutes. That was not the end of it. We waited another ten minutes for the waiter who was at best curt. He was clearly slammed. We waited another ten minutes for drinks then another 20 minutes after that for what was a mediocre meal. The pasta was soft, the stuffed flounder was overcooked. The so called porterhouse steak was fatty and barely edible -it looked like what you might get at a cheap wedding. Again, we waited an usually long time for the table to be bussed and even though the table was still dirty the waiter comes over and puts dessert menus on top of the table which had crumbs and food on it. I could not get out fast enough. We tried to talk to a manager, I have called now for two days in a row to talk to someone. When the wife says it was the worst Mother's Day ever, she means it. Too bad Genesis Hospitality doesn't have a phone number to call. I'd voice my complaint with them. read more

We have enjoyed many eats at the Lambertville Station. Our favorite spot in the restaurant is the Wine Cellar. Where we have sampled different wines on their Flight Option. Very relaxing and cozy down there. We came here in 2020, 2021, and 2022. I expect we will be back soon enough! read more

First the good. Food was pretty decent here. Though there was a very long wait. However, I probably won't be back. Ever since they made their bathrooms coed, every woman is in for a highly uncomfortable and unpleasant experience if she has to use their facilities. If I wanted to feel unsafe and use a filthy, peed all over the floor and unflushed toilet, I would just visit the nearest gas station, rather than paying $300 for the privilege. I've been to the Lambertville Station Restaurant about a dozen times over many years and I cannot recall having a bad meal or experience. Parking can be a challenge, but on my recent visit I took my mother with me so I went to the valet next door. I think it was $3 plus tip, so it's well worth it. The outside is beautiful and probably my favorite building in Lambertville. The inside hasn't changed much over the years, but it's always clean, organized, formal and well cared for. We were seated inside in the back room adjacent to the outdoor seating along the canal path. Great area to people watch, chat and the seating arrangements are spread out well so your not on top of anyone. Our server was very nice and was on top of filling our water and checking in on us. Our group of four ordered Calamari and a Caprese flatbread for starters. The Calamari was fresh, had a little spice and came with dipping sauces that were pretty tasty. It was a welcomed change of pace from the standard marinara. The flatbread had prosciutto, arugula, mozzarella and roasted peppers and was delicious. I ordered a salad for the main meal and it was great. The salmon was decent, arugula went great with the cheese and overall it was filling. One of my favorite times to visit is when they have their annual wild game menu. I've skipped a few years now, but it's a great experience if you're looking to try something new! I am STILL raving about the South Philly Porto Sandwich I had a few days ago. Quite possibly THE BEST sando I've had AND it didn't even have any meat in it! I obsess about trying to replicate it at home but it'll never compare to the Lambertville Station one! Also loved the decor of this place and how they incorporated some of the original fixtures to stay on brand with the train depot of it's past life. The bar was downstairs. The dining room upstairs. The cozy armchairs and stone walls set the atmosphere, and the menu has a great wine and oyster selection.
