Stopped in to "look" for some ceiling fans and other lighting for a newly purchased townhouse. We looked at some good fans for the upstairs as there is no A/C in the home and walked out with fans and lights for almost every room in the house. We were going to order three fans that were out of stock and as we were doing that, Michelle (the GURU!!!!) showed us some in stock clearance fans - we walked out with six ceiling fans, a chandelier and two other lights! Greeted as we walked into the store and asked how they could help. We needed a new lamp shade and we were immediately taken to the area. Allowed us to look and did not hover over us. We spent our time checking out the different lamp shades and finally settled on one that fit our lamp perfectly. Two years ago we redid our kitchen. I purchased two "puck" lights from Lamps Plus to go into my two cabinets with glass doors and shelving. The wiring for these lights is inside the soffit and there is a transformer as well. We basically ordered what the store told us we needed for the job. The lights have a 50,000 hours rating. Last year, after having the lights for a little over a year, one of the lights went out. I bought another one and had it replaced. About four or five months ago, the second one went out. I didn't realize when I replaced the first light that the warranty for the lights was 50,000 hours. For perspective, that is 2083 days or almost six years at 24 hours a day. Anyway, after the second light went out I called them and they assured me that they would get back to me and help me out. No one ever got back to me so I called again about two weeks ago. Again, I was assured that they would make this light purchase right. To date, no one has ever called me. Talk about CUSTOMER NO SERVICE. I have been a customer of the store for as long as I can remember. But perhaps they don't care about that. read more

My wife and I have been looking for loom counter stools for our kitchen and were able to find the model we wanted on the Lamps plus website. After contacting a few locations, we spoke with Stephane from the Oceanside location and were told two stools were available at their store and one at the Fair Oaks locations. Stephane was so helpful and very pleasant to chat with. Both he and his manager, Pal, went out of their way to procure the third stool from the Fair Oaks location. I must commend the team at the Oceanside location for providing frequent updates on the status of our order and when the third stool arrived. We appreciate the effort of this store's team, from the first phone call to purchasing to picking up the furniture and finally meeting them in person. The entire process took about one week, which was a lot faster than either of us expected. We gladly look forward to working with them in the future given our experience. I had an excellent experience at Lamps Plus thanks to Jennifer. My husband and I were looking for a ceiling fan, a ceiling light and 2 pendant lights. We were having trouble agreeing on a ceiling fan. Jennifer did not try to upsell us on an expensive one that I had been looking at and did not try to change our minds when I said we need time to think about the fan. She just moved on to the pendant lights. She really listened and asked the right questions and, in the end, we ended up finding all of the things we wanted that day by coordinating the fan with the other products we bought. Jennifer is an excellent salesperson because she seems to really want you to find something that you are happy with.
