Lan is hands down the best Asian food in S. Florida. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants. The sushi is amazing, and I love that I can sample different dishes from all over Asia. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. One tiny complaint- my office always orders delivery from them several times a week, they have the BEST lunch specials. For some reason though, lately ordering online takes forever, so now we have to call in our orders. Not as convenient as their old website, where we could order our usual lunch in seconds. Great food, atmosphere, and service! I've been going here since I was little and it's always been amazing. Also, the bubble tea is amazing.

I wasn't expecting much, given that this restaurant is located on the ground floor of of a parking garage. But I am really glad I tried it. They have a number of different dishes and flavors, from Sushi to Korean to Thai to Filipino which gives the menu an unfocused approach (PAN Asian cafe). That said, everything we ordered was excellent. The staff was friendly, and when I asked them for an off-menu item (chirashi bowl - sashimi on sushi rice in a bowl) they made it for me without a problem. The Szechuan eggplant appetizer was a hit, and if you enjoyed eggplant I would definitely order that. The poke bowl ordered at my table was also quite good. We also ordered tuna rolls and they were good. If you're looking for good food at a good price with great service I can recommend Lan Pan. read more

Went here for lunch today and was very happy with my order. I ordered the Sunset Strip roll which had Hamachi as the main ingredient. Now, I am an absolute Hamachi nut so I had to order this. It was excellent! The sushi roll was perfect and the Hamachi was nice and fresh. I also ordered one piece of Nigiri Tuna and that was excellent as well! The Lan's Salad was great as well as the Cilantro-Ginger Vinaigrette was excellent as well. I will definitely be back soon! read more

I've been here dozens of times before I was on Yelp and I almost always get the Coconut Lemongrass Chicken with brown rice...it's so good I find it hard to venture off. The times that I have the food has been very good but not as crazy good if you love lemongrass and coconut sauce. I never miss an opportunity for bubble/boba tea!!! This is the best Asian restaurant in South Miami, hands down. The staff is very friendly and welcoming as soon as you walk in the door. I had a three course meal during my first visit and all three blew away my expectations - even after reading the great reviews on Yelp. The calamari was cooked perfectly; not too oily or greasy like most places. The mango sauce underneath is delicious and pairs very well with it. Second: the sushi and sashimi was made very well and very fresh. I also tried some of my fiancées Korean BBQ ribs and it had amazing flavor. It was marinated and cooked like an expensive cut of steak. Unlike any other Korean BBQ ribs that I tried before. Ended with Thai donuts with three dipping sauces. The donuts were surprisingly light; perfect after a big meal. I also had the strawberry-lychee bubble tea. I think that's my latest addiction. If you're just visiting the Dadeland Mall area, you have to stop in and try this place. If you live down here, I'm sure you'll become a regular after trying this place just once. First time I ate here I wasn't impressed i was like ohh It is a typical fast food asian restaurant. And it is, it is on the louder side, the service is efficient, and it is quick! However their are a few things this place does really well which explains why it is always packed. The food is fresh full of flavor and inexpensive. Not exactly cheep but priced well it is a good deal. Now somethings are typical asian fair like the miso soup and ginger salad. Too salty for my taste but average. However the fish is always fresh and the sushi is always prepared well. 2 things keep me coming back the fried bagel roll OH MY GAWD EAT IT. So I am rating like the actual restaurant and the boba window because I feel like they are kinda different. I was at PK Oriental and being new to Miami, I was reading yelp reviews about the place and they said there was a boba places there. LIES! I did not see one (probably closed down) so I asked the owner if there was a boba place near by because I was super craving boba. She got out her spiral notebook of Asian places in Miami and gave me the number. Sweet~ So I went to Lan and I found the a boba window. I was like yay I don't have to go inside the restaurant. I ordered a taro snow which was a powdered with 3 pumps of syrup. The boba was I would say a little overcooked but overall I enjoyed my smoothie. I would give it a 5 just for the location (dadeland station is awesome), the window for the boba and the boba itself. However, I later went back to the restaurant this time to get food and boba. I ordered the lunch special with red curry, spring rolls appetizer and . Lunch special included California rolls with avocado and imitation crab only, miso soup and salad. The red curry itself had beef which I think was too tough and although I know this Thai base curry is a sweet one, I thought it was too sweet. The spring roll appetizer was not bad, but because of the name I was thrown off. Spring rolls to me as a Vietnamese American includes shrimp, mint, thai basil, noodles and some meat like a nem nuong or a beef slice. This, had chicken which was odd. But the thing that irked me is that I ordered Boba, and they forgot about until the way end. So because of the food and the service I would give it a 3. So thats why I rate Lan a 4 averaging things in. I would need to try this place again to try all the other dishes. Miami I have noticed does not have that many Asian places to go to. So this is still a rare gem for me since it was quick and easy Asian lunches/dinners and of course boba. I am grateful for this restaurant being so close to me. read more

I have yet to try the food here so this review goes solely to their Bubble Tea collection. First off, a quick and easily accessible outside window service is brilliant. I love that I can stop by real quick on my way to the shops and order my Bubble tea through the window. The flavor options are ample and the menu is clear and simple to understand. My go to is the passion fruit green tea with lychee bursting bubbles. The customer service has not disappointed. I have always been attended to right away, and changes are made to my order without hesitation if there was any misunderstanding of what ordered. So Yelpers, if your body craves something refreshing and you are in the Dadeland area, don't miss this! (Well you've got to look closely to find it). my all time favorite asian food spot! I come here so often whether it's just for their delicious bubble teas or a nice lunch. I always have to start off with their fried calamari for a crispy bite accompanied with their sweet sauce for a nice kick. I love trying new things but my all time favorite at this spot will always be their dragon roll. if you're a sushi lover you're gonna love their crispy shrimp tempura with eel sauce and spicy mayo. their new poke bowl are pretty good as well but I personally feel like the citrus sauce cuts the flavor of the fish. it's usually not too full in the early afternoon so if you go around these times you'll be served quickly. read more

This place has scrumptious food! I have come here a couple of times with friends and we all order something different and try each other's food. I can't say I've been disappointed with anything. My favorites are the fried tuna sandwiches, Mongolian beef (SO SAVORY), and the garlic beef tataki. I usually get the beef tataki because the meat is cooked so well, the garlic sauce is really nice, spinach makes it a bit healthier and most food is large portions so you get to eat plenty. Also good to note was the Korean BBQ rice. Very delicious and also pretty spicy. I love spicy food so I thought this was amazing! If you can handle spicy, try this out! We dine in at Lan's because it's named after ME!!! :-D But also because they have the best redbean snow boba and crunchy green papaya salad (comes with seafood drizzled in a vinaigrette dressing). We make a pit stop here whenever we have a craving for one of the above. If you are in that indesisive mood where you don't know which asian food to go for then this is the place to go to. Dining here is like dining around Asia...they have a couple pan asian dishes that you can sample from. We've tried couple dishes from here...i like their korean bbq rice dish (comes with a couple sides) and Yakiniku don (beef is cooked right when you can taste the slighlty burnt charred wok taste). The portion is big so you can share with another person. Also had their passion fruit creme brulee. Had to fight for the last piece because it was so good!! It's was ok. Just average. I've tried a few Thai restaurants in the area and LAN Pan was better than some but still fell short in areas like their chicken had very little flavor. I'm not sure why but it seemed like they just threw a tasty sauce and vegetables over unseasoned boiled chicken. Sauce was flavorful but chicken didn't taste like anything but unseasoned chicken. One of my go to places. Tonight, Saturday 8/29/20 we ordered 2 bagel rolls, a slippery eel roll, and a medium Hamachi sachimi plat for delivery. . The rolls were fine. The Hamachi, though plentiful, was mushy and tasteless. I have no doubt it was not even close to fresh. I would not serve it to my cat. Very disappointing. Not a good experience. 2 stars. read more

I was a big fan of this restaurant. We have been coming here for years and ordered out a lot during the pandemic. But today we had a terrible service experience there. We Listed our names for the waiting list at 1.30 pm. The host was downright rude telling us right away he could not promise a 30 minute wait. I asked if he could message us when ready so we could shop while we waited. He was insistent that we need to stay around because if they call our names we would lose our turn. We took a chance and went to target. When we got back we were a bit late and as soon as the host saw us. He almost seemed happy to let us know we lost our turn. Great vegetarian sushi (I would recommend the green wonton or avacado crunch) and many flavorful vegetable dishes like the fiery spinach which are great apps to share. The curries are pretty good too, though I usually stick to my standard sushi rolls! The bubble teas and thai iced tea are also very good and one of the few spots in Miami. This is my go-to spot for bubble tea - it's the best I've yet to find near me! They have a walk up window on the side so that you don't even need to go into the restaurant for bubble tea. Food is always good and reasonably priced. I've gotten mostly sushi from here and it's never disappointed. Everything tastes quality and fresh. I had always noticed the restaurant when I would shop at Dadeland Station but I never thought to eat there until seeing the restaurant featured on Check Please South Florida. Everything we ate was delicious! We started off with the green papaya salad that had a variety of seafood including shrimp, octopus and mussels- we were almost full from just eating the salad as it was huge. Being that this is an Asian fusion spot, there are plenty of dishes to choose from. Fresh sushi, great Thai flavors, Korean BBQ plates and then some. I've had a bunch of items on the menu and left satisfied, but I have to say the one thing I'll probably always order is "Lemon Grass Chicken" with white rice ( they offer brown, but do it right!). This dish has lemon grass infused coconut milk with bay leaves , onions, juicy chicken and red chilis ( the dish itself is NOT spicy, it just seasons the coconut broth perfectly but take a bite of those peppers and you will A) die a slow death or B) drink some coconut milk and cool that mouth down.
