Had such a great meal here with Cheyenne as our friendly and attentive server. The BBQ was melt in your mouth tender and the collard greens were just right! Sweet tea, Cheerwine, and NASCAR memorabilia sealed the deal. My husband and I are so happy to have found Lancaster's. Absolutely wonderful establishment! Me and my family have gone here every time we've visited Mooresville, and it never disappoints. The food is delicious and quick, and the staff is one of a kind. Cathy, our server, was delightful and made us feel so welcome coming from West Virginia. The restaurant is lucky to have her, and their super friendly manager. Went with some friends last night and two people ordered wings. Several of the wings were cooked with feathers still on them. The waitress said she was sorry and sent the manager over. I paid $30 and some change for 2 fish plates that were disgusting. They were both soggy and dripping in a bed of oil. I have been a long time customer of Lancaster"s but would not recommend the fish. My suggestion is to either teach your cooks how to prepare it or take it off the menu. I feel I deserve a refund as this was money thrown in the trash. When we got there, we had a 10 minute wait(which was fine), then we had waited about 5 minutes to get out drinks, and then after we got out drinks, we had to wait 25 minutes just to order! The 2 bigger tables(group of 4 & 8) had way more of a priority than us! It was also super slow( as a couple who works in the service industry, we try being understanding, but the service just sucked)! The Fried pickles were so salty, we couldn't each them much even with ranch! The hushpuppies were good, even though we didn't get them until about 30 minutes in and then the table of two that came after us(all from the same server) got their service and hushpuppies immediately. The Fried okra and Collard greens were good, but the barbecue, was also super salty! I've been a few times before about 5 years ago and the place was great, but this experience really turned us away from wanting to make this a casual date night place! The food is amazing. I don't know what else to say. The ribs melted off the bone. The brisket was so tender and amazing. Even the mashed potatoes were so creamy. The collard greens were also so good. We also got the parm garlic tenders, so good. I called in the order and the lady taking my order was very thorough and thoughtful with her follow up questions.
