My daughter and I went to McAlisters this evening. At check out the employee stated my card didn't process so I tapped again and saw the "approved" she then mentioned it didn't go through. I pulled up my bank account and had two pending charges for $24.18 each. She called another employee over who then told me the other employee was under the wrong number and I needed to tap AGAIN. At this point I was not tapping again and paying 3 times so I was then asked if I had cash. Regardless if I did or not, I was not paying again. I was told I could call my bank or McAlisters help desk. She told me she would give me a 70% discount if I tapped again. As someone who works in customer service I would never ask someone to tap that many times. We left and went to Panera Bread. read more

I know all the McAlister's are the same but I feel the one near my home is the best! (If you know that reference well done!) I really do hate that they took the Spud Ole off the menu but it did help me to figure out that if you get a Just a Spud and pile a mountain of stuff on it it can actually be cheaper than the menu items! I love this place. I use the app and just swing in and grab my stuff. My only complaint would be that the sour cream that they provide in the little cups is hit or miss. One cup will be super full and it's enough. I order double and get two cups that are 1/3 full. Consistancy is key to take away right? Great work overall though! Will keep coming back! read more

A true disappointment...the staff seems to have little or no energy which is understandable in today's job force. The BLT-A sandwich had one sliver of A (avocado). The side of fruit was PATHETIC. The side container was less than 1/2 full. Lastly, three employees were outside smoking at a table on the front sidewalk just a few feet from the front door of the store...yuck! First and last visit to this place. Wife and I stopped in for lunch. We ordered two sandwiches and drinks. One sandwich showed up at table. I went to ask the guy at counter where the other sandwich was and he said I never ordered another sandwich. My wife and him actually had an extended conversation about her order and the sides available. First time eating there on Monday 3/4/24. It was way better than the sandwich/bakery fast food place across the street so this will be my new go to place! Lettuce was fresh and crisp, tomatoes were good, bread was great! We tried the Nachos and they were good as well. Normally, we're not a fan of yellow cheese sauce but it wasn't bad and at least had flavor to it unlike the typical orange nacho cheese sauce. I would probably order it again. Next time I go I want to try one of the spuds! They looked good. All in all my family was happy, I was happy and we will be back. Oh, and this place was $35 cheaper than the sandwhich/bakery fast food place across the street! My family of 3 ate at McAllister for $40! I admit it, I love McAlister's! This location however, is always hit & miss with me. Their service isn't the best, the employees are always smug no matter if I dine there or get a "to go" order. The food is good though. I always get the BLT with potato salad & sweet tea. The tea & potato salad are consistent...always yummy. The BLT, not so much. Sometimes they're extremely heavy on the bacon or lettuce. The restaurant is always clean, which is a plus in my book. read more

I have always been a huge fan of their food and used to frequent the Cornelius location on an almost weekly basis... this mooresville lovation is much closer but sadly subpar in their service. It takes forever to order and we ended up leaving without even ordering last week. The girl couldn't get computer/register to work... instead of trying one of the other three she just kept griping about it not working and asking for help in which no one bothered to help her. I work in the food industry and my owner would've been highly pissed if I had not just moved to another register that did work. I was able to order a grouping of assorted cookies and slices of the cinnabon cheesecake, pay online, and schedule a delivery time later in the day. I go here at least once a week on my lunch break and the food is good so I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. However, the service is terrible. I'm sure they're understaffed just like everywhere else, but I'm always missing something from my Togo order. I go on my lunch break so it's not like I'm taking it to my house to eat it. I need plastic ware. I also always request extra sour cream and half the time they give me none. I've had to have food re made before because it just wasn't what I ordered. One time they added bacon and mayo to a grilled chicken sandwich for no reason. When I asked to have it remade I could hear the girl in the kitchen complain that I wanted it re made. We usually hit McAlisters 2x a month to satisfy our craving for BIG, fresh salads that aren't run of the mill. My current fave is the Savannah w/it's sherry shallot chug-it-down-like-a-frat-boy dressing. Oh yeah, it also has greens, chicken, cranberries, goat cheese and other good stuff. We are also diggin' the new southwestern inspired salad (got some of that dressing to go, thankyouveddymuch) and as always, the spuds that are the size of a pair of moccasins and the many sandwiches (personal fave is the french dip on the always fresh roll. C'est bon!) It gets crowded around 6pm but the service is good and they regularly make rounds to bus tables and refill their famous sweet tea (or my ever present Diet Dr. P) Sit on the shaded, gated patio on a nice day and enjoy a relaxing, breezy meal.
