This place was recommended and is an excellent spot for roast beef and fried seafood. We had heard about Roast Beef being a north shore staple- so we tried it out! We got the roast beef sandwich with all 3 sauces and a Libster Roll. The roast beef was super fresh and well cooked. The lobster roll was super fresh, a little too heavy on the Mayo but the lobster meat was perfectly cooked! The place seems to be a classic staple. There is nothing fancy here, you get what you see1 but it is super clean and we saw a guy run through and clean the tables even when he noticed it was getting busy. The waitress and all the staff were really great, the only unfriendly one seemed to be the owner. He was a bit rough and gruff and was a bit dismissive of questions, but we will still be back for sure! read more

I grew up going to Land n Sea in Peabody 1 to 2 times a week. It used to be one of my favorite spot. I would switch between a roast beef and a fish sandwich with onion ring. It was always good and reliable. A few year ago I ordered a fish sandwich and the piece of fish was tiny. It did not even come close to fitting the bun. It barely covered the middle. After that I stopped going. With it being Lent I decided to give it another try today. Same problem. I got home, opened it up, and could not believe it. The fish look more like a fish stick than a filet. It was small and lost in a big bun. I drove back and said something. I was told they are weighed. If that is the case then the portion is the problem. Use a bigger piece of fish and charge more or put it on a smaller roll. What is being served now is not worth it. However I went the other day and I spent $50 on food. Every single part of the food was terrible. My mom's roast beef was not thinly sliced like normally is. The french fries were mixed with old fries. Mind you we went right when they first opened like 20 minutes later. I can't even believe they sell processed chicken fingers that look like that absolutely disgusting. My Mom & I dined @ Land N Sea on Thursday, where she chose to celebrate her 90th birthday. We each ordered their clam rolls & shared an onion ring. Our lunches were delicious with sweet fried clams and crispy onions rings. We found their portions to be generous and worth the prices.....UNTIL Mom ordered a haddock sandwich to take home for my Dad's dinner. My Mom called me right away & told me that when they opened the sandwich there were only 2 small round 'pieces ' of haddock...no 'filets' of haddock as is given by the place they usually go. The small portion of haddock didn't even fill out to the sides of the roll, resulting in more bread than fish. Giving them the benefit of doubt I immediately called Land N Sea & explaned the situation (I thought maybe they'd been rushed when preparing the sandwich causing an oversight of putting such a small portion of haddock in it). when I explained the great disappointment in the product we had purchased, they really didn't offer a satisfactory explanation. They took my contact information and said they would have the owner/manager call me on Friday when they arrived to the store. As of this writing I have not received a response from the owner/manager or anyone else at Land N Sea so I'm left to assume that they don't care to address their loyal customers' concerns of L&S having provided a poor quality and significantly undervalued food item. For as long as Land N Sea has been in business in Peabody, throughout which time we have been loyal customers, I expected better and not to be disregarded. read more

This place has potential to thrive under a massive change of staff and ambiance and menu. - 80% of customers were 80 years old or older. i have been a loyal customer for the Land and Sea resteraunt for decades ! The food is very good but it is the quantity that has me upset ! Every time I have been there in the last two years the quantity of seafood is less and less with more French fries ! I went there last night got a clam plate and a combination plate and a small Cole slaw $ 68 dollars and some change ! I open it up at my home and was totally upset with the amount of French fries that was on the plate and how little sea food ! if I wanted a huge plate of French fries I would have gone to McDonalds ! This restaurant is not respecting COVID-19 guidelines in fact making fun of them. I was there when a employee was asked by a man that with his young teenage daughter to pull up his mask while cooking food, the employee then laughed in his face and pulled the mask down more. I understand the pandemic is near over but we are not completely done yet. Employees still have to be responsible and respectful about this. Me and my husband were completely shocked by this behavior and left. This is unacceptable. I'm reporting on behalf of that man and his young daughter that looked petrified. Today I was at Land 'N Sea restaurant in Peabody, Massachusetts. There are no complaints about the food as it is always good. One thing I would like to touch on is the cleanliness of the place. From where I was sitting I noticed one of your employees just cleaning tables but failed to look under the tables to see if there were food crumbs on the floor. Sure enough I saw two tables that had crumbs underneath the table that was not swept away. This could lead to bugs. You should speak to your employees about cleanliness. It is not enough just to clean tables but to also clean the floors. read more

It was way to expensive for the experience would never return. While waking in we noticed that the entire restaurant smelt weird.
