The sun roof in the Range Rover Sport I purchased 6 months ago would not close this AM. It was going to a substantial problem as I needed my car and it was supposed to rain off and on throughout the day. To my surprise, when I called Sharpe, they told me to bring the vehicle in right away and they would fix it for me. I drove it in and in less than 1 hour, I was on my way with a fully fixed and functioning sunroof. I could not have been happier and more surprised to receive such stellar customer service! 2017 - Less than a year later, I began getting the same suspension fault warning. After my 2016 conversations with Paul, who said they would love for me to give them a second chance, I did. I called back to have the vehicle look at since they did the work. I spoke to the same Dave in service whom I'd had the issues with in 2016, but I didn't bring up the drama. Then suddenly, Dave says, "Oh, I remember you! After that review you left for me online, I'm not going to have anything for you. I'm not going to do anything for you" I escalated to him manager who set me up with another service manager, and ultimately I cancelled my appointment because I felt so uncomfortable. We currently have two range rovers and previously an LR4. Because of Dave and the Sharpe LR dealership, we will NEVER buy another Land Rover vehicle as long as we live in Michigan and are looking to sell our current ones because we cannot get them maintained at a safe and ethical place. 2016: 2/19 UPDATE: I have spoken with the sales manager, Paul Flood who assured me that the appropriate personnel have been coached in the areas mentioned below. Paul was very pleasant to speak with and work with and strongly feels that my experience should not be a reflection of the standard they strive for. I truly believe that Paul has done everything in his power to help bring this issue to resolution and to work with me on this unfortunate experience. I was advised that if I remove my review/s, that I would receive compensation for the poor service that I'd received over the last couple days. Unfortunately, I cannot remove my reviews and I think it's important that my voice is heard, but I will increase the star rating by one star. I am not looking for financial compensation, but I want to raise awareness about my service and make sure that future customers are aware that if the service department fails to do their job in full, the customer is expected to make multiple trips (or pay for their vehicle to make multiple trips) to the dealership at their own expense, even when the dealership is at fault. Original post: I am amazed by the poor customer service at this location! They are operating far below the Land Rover standard, and I will never let them touch my Rover again. Here is the timeline of events that took place: My vehicle suspension was damaged in cross-country transport, and towed to them on Tuesday afternoon/evening. Wednesday, Dave from Service calls me to tell me a suspension bag is leaking. He later calls to tell me it's been replaced and my vehicle is ready for pickup. Wednesday night, I make the drive from St Joe MI to Grand Rapids to pick up my vehicle. Thursday morning, I get in my car at 8:00 am, and the suspension fault warning is still present. I contact them and ask them to come get my vehicle because they did not fix the problem. Dave argued with me over the span of several phone calls that his job was to replace a part, and he did that, so it's not his responsibility. I assure him that my vehicle was sent there to be fixed for suspension fault, and while he may have replaced a part, he did NOT fix the issue! He later called me and apologized for his poor behavior and sends someone to pick up my vehicle. Friday, today, they bring my rover back missing half a tank of gas. That's not okay to me. The reason the vehicle had to go back to them is because they failed to do their jobs. They've already inconvenienced me, wasted time arguing with me, and now that the rover went back to them, they still drained my tank and didn't re-fuel it. The trip back to Grand Rapids would have never had to happen had they done their jobs in the first place! If you do not fix the vehicle entirely and it needs to come back, it should be at the dealership expense, not customer. read more

I have been coming to Land Rover of Grand Rapids for many years now. Started with a Range rover, then an LR3, then LR4 and now again a Range Rover. I enjoy that they seems to be able to work me into the schedule whenever I need, as I have to drive from Lansing for service. Dave in service has always been great. I never feel like he is pushing to up sell maintenance services and he seems to always come up with a good price for repairs when needed. They always have a loaner for me and even brought my LR4 back to Lansing for me when repairs took longer than they expected. read more

Not only were they courteous and friendly, but Paul Flood and Dave Keenan went out of their way to find me a great car that I could afford. I recently completed a year long process to receive my 2018 Range Rover Sport. I had the most amazing Client Care Specialist named Larry Brandsen. He was the single reason I came back to the dealership as my initial interaction with the dealership was quite unfriendly. Larry worked with me over the course of a year to help me determine what I wanted in the RR and make it come to fruition. He never pressured me nor made me think I was taking to long to decide on things. Respectful at every step, I never felt that I did not belong. The five star rating is for Larry. We have had problems with our Range Rover stalling out when in motion so we scheduled an appointment and after Sharpe Land Rover's technicians diagnosed the potential problem and fixed the problem but to our chagrim it wasn't fixed at all. Lesson learned after spending over 1000.00 dollars for nothing. We won't re-visit Sharpe Land Rover ever again. read more

I purchased a Discovery Sport last January. Process was fairly painless & I was really in love with my vehicle... over the past 10 months my delight has dwindled to regret. I tried scheduling my first oil change online... couldn't get in for almost a month. Was then harassed by staff for going over miles and said I should call instead on scheduling online. Charged me $120 for oil change. A few weeks later while in a touchless car wash the trim on the roof of my car just flew off. I called Sharpe and they offered to send replacement parts to a local body shop, which was convenient except I had to reschedule twice because the parts never showed up as promised. By my next oil change the interior cover of my lift gate was falling off. I called to schedule the oil change and asked if they could repair lift gate at same time. Oil change tool 4 hours and they told me they had to order parts to fix my lift gate, after I was told they would be able to fix it easily that day. They also proceeded to tell me my rear break pads & rotors needed replacing. It is crazy to replace rear breaks at 23k miles. I was angry and insulted.... bad news was my rear calipers were in fact defective and went out completely at 29k. Now I am stuck with a $2k repair bill. So frustrated! I would not recommend this dealership for service or support after the sale. read more
