They handled the licensing and financing right there in the office. They even let me bring my dogs in to play while we were doing a test drive and filling out the paperwork. Mike was even kind enough to send me some winter mats which I requested as part of the deal. Colin was willing to take the car to my mechanic for an inspection before the purchase was complete. Vehicle was freshly washed and full of gas when I picked it up. The representative seemed very knowledgeable about the vehicle options.

They gave us an I Owe You, and that they'll make good on the gas gage issue, but when I called to schedule the appointment to fix it, they were slammed busy and told me to take it where I'd like and that they'd pay for it. I took it to the actual brand dealer, and had over $900 in costs to fix. I sent them emails, called, and they never replied until it was 6-8 months after I submitted the request for fund that they owed me. They sent back a little over $100 dollars. They decided they weren't going to reply again. Don't go there. They are not good people. The store manager Mike, is a liar and no good on his word.

I'd like to start by saying that we have purchased 3 different vehicles from Betten Imports. My…read morebeef is not with the sales staff. It has been an entirely different experience with the Volvo service department. Currently the two service advisors are great, Andy is very knowledgeable, kind and helpful. Brittany is over-the-top nice and very warm. However, it is damn near impossible to get someone to return your call if you leave a message for them. It's also impossible to get someone on the phone. The most effective form of communication seems to be texting. But that obviously cuts off when business hours are over. I want to explain my extremely low rating. Beginning in January of this year, I had my car in for its 120k mile servicing. I came home from that servicing with a slew of repairs that needed to be made, ball joints replaced, air filters replaced, timing belt, and the list goes on. The estimate was somewhere between $6,000-$7000. I went ahead with the ball joints as they were noticeably loose, and some of the smaller things. I then scheduled to have my timing belt replaced in March, so I could break up the expenses a bit. Fast-forward to March when I bring my car in for the timing belt replacement. I'm now noticing a bit of a hesitation when I accelerate aggressively (say I'm merging onto the highway or something). When I pick my car up, they tell me they did the timing belt and replaced the spark plugs to fix the hesitation. And that it's driving well now. It is not. Within a day or two I notice the hesitation is back. Obviously I'm frustrated, but I also have a lot going on, so a few weeks later, I call back. They are booking out into June, but they tell me that they have a cancellation on May 23, so I take it. To make a very long story short, I was supposed to drive to Chicago the next day but after not hearing from them all day, and trying to get a hold of them like mad after I got out of work, it turns out they hadn't figured out the issue until the very end of the day and needed to order parts to replace it. Now, it's Tuesday after Memorial Day (they've had the car since Thursday). I approved the repair of the fuel injectors on Friday, but didn't hear back from them. I finally received a text saying that they needed more time. On Wednesday I picked the car up and I kid you not, I drove 5 miles from my home and the hesitation started up again. When I called back the next day the response I got was, "Are you sure? We drove it extensively and it never recurred." So, I asked to speak to the service manager because at this point, I'm pretty livid. The service manager, Eric Allen does not give a good first impression. I try to explain my frustration to him, and he eventually comes around. He tells me that he personally will follow the progress of my vehicle, make sure I get a loaner car, and will cover the cost of the repairs. I should only be speaking to him from here on out because he's on top of it. I have this loaner car for FOUR WEEKS. I hear nothing for the first two, but after leaving messages for both service advisors and Eric Allen, I receive a 2 line text saying they are still getting the misfires. After another week and I half, I reach out again, and am told they need to borescope into the cylinders. Then, at 3:30 on Friday, I get a text from Andy (still no word from Eric) saying that the cylinders are scored and that the engine needs to be replaced. I ask for a phone call in return, but I'm also headed into work so when I don't hear back right away, I actually say that I would rather talk on Monday so I had time to research. When I do speak to Andy, I request a meeting with the service manager as I have a lot of questions. After doing some research I learned that there are other tests that should have been done. After putting me off for a bit, I do finally receive a call from Eric Allen. And when I tell you that this man started off on the defensive, I mean that he was completely rude and unprofessional from the get-go. He clearly hadn't spent a minute of his time following the progress of my car, had Andy in the background basically telling him everything, and when I questioned why he was so angry, he yelled exasperatedly that I should "be talking to his service advisor and not him." Which of course pissed me off, because he had previously told me that he would take care of this. At this point, I was completely done. I picked up my Volvo as-is and returned the loaner car (which they inspected in front of me like I had damaged it somehow). I do want to talk about one more thing. When digging through all the repairs I've had done at Betten, I found the paperwork for a piston ring repair that Volvo covered in 2023. It turns out they replaced my timing belt with that repair. So the timing belt didn't need to be done again. I did bring this up to Eric Allen and after some discussion he did agree to refund it to me. It makes me curious about what else I've paid for but didn't actually need.

Like politicians once they get your vote. You mean nothing. I purchased my second Mercedes in 12 months just two days ago. The first Mercedes was brand new. Betten Imports were insistent that they would provide excellent service. We HATED the car, but my/our grandson loved it, so we sold it to him for the price of a Ford mini-truck we had our eyes on. He needed some assistance resetting the Mercedes app on his phone, but we had called Betten Imports and told them about the transfer of ownership. "Send him in!" they responded. They wouldn't help him. The service department wouldn't even talk to him, questioning his ownership even though he had the paperwork in hand. Last week we saw a small car we liked, and decided to give them the benefit of the doubt on a 2022 car. Just off lease, it had a couple of issues. They couldn't find the second key for the car, and the salesman Dan E. said he would make sure it was taken care of by contacting Chris in the Service department. There were two missing covers in the back seat, and he said that would be taken care of as well. (NOT) Forward to Saturday morning, and the key issue was dismissed with the instructions to contact Chris on Monday and it would be taken care of. We had the same conversation with the financial officer while finalizing the paperwork. He said if we had any issues to let him know. Monday morning I called Service and explained the issue. He responded with a lot of double talk, and said he would call back. He called back, said he spoke to the salesman and they decided not to cover the key, and he would order a new one for $990.00. Maybe they only cheat senior citizens. I'm 71 and my husband is over 80. Don't go there if you value good service and an honorable staff.

Service was pleasant and quick, both in the garage and at the payment desk. They weren't pushy, nobody was snarling about anything, and they got my car done on a rainy Monday in about 15 minutes, oil and tires. They also provided text/email notifications about recommended work, a link to pay online, pictures in the email and printed out regarding the recommended work, etc. Very fast, very well-documented, very easy experience for the customer. We didn't end up buying our car here due to unrelated circumstances, but the salesman we worked with (was it Nick?) was entirely pleasant, knowledgeable, and not at all pushy or impatient. He seemed to enjoy his job and to enjoy working with people. While Toyota was pushy and had terrible customer experience, including endless calls and texts even after we told them we're not interested, Subaru was totally chill and respectful the whole time.

Brett on the other hand needs to work on his people skills, he was overly pushy trying to sell more warranty options I just could not do as I had just paid a large amount of money for my 2025 I just purchased. Wanted me to pay an additional $2,000-$3000 for more additional warranty. I politely declined and just was going with the factory warranty, kept going on about what they all covered i again politely declined, he did a very good job making me very unwelcomed bc i was refusing another warranty, like the $28,000 check i just handed him was not enough. Failed to Go over what the factory warranty offered, failed to go over what it covered, failed to Let me know incase I needed to use the warranty where I can go to get an issue fixed. I had been working my ass off to get a new car, I have NEVER owned brand new and this was a very exciting time for me, and he made that part of purchasing like I didn't even matter he was just all about the money.
