Called about 8 Land Rover dealerships in Southern California area looking for a specific vehicle and a few locations had what I was looking for, but either sold them too quickly or were trying to put a significant markup due to a "chip shortage" that has halted new car production. I ended up dealing with Moe (Sales) and the deal we reached came within 45 minutes. I didn't have to fight for a price break and their pricing was pretty fair compared to other offers I was presented at different dealers. I did pay a bit of a premium but given the current situation in the car market, I was willing to and they worked on the markup price with me. Steven (Finance) was a breeze to work with as well. I purchased the vehicle over the phone and signed documents via email. The paperwork took about 2 days to finalize and the car was delivered to my home in the Bay Area 2 days after that. I called weeks in advance to book a service appointment to get my AC repaired. Although they can't promise a loaner vehicle, I was told they would try to accommodate me. I find it a little ridiculous that you spend that nearly 100k on a car and they can't even give you a car to use that's comparable to the one I purchased. First off, I am no novice to car buying. In my lifetime I have purchased way over 50 vehicles, including 5 Land Rovers, and Land Rover Riverside made this the absolute best car buying experience I ever had! We drove to Riverside from our home in San Diego County, as the local dealers here seem to think of buyers as simply cash cows and are unwilling to work with trades and pricing. From first e-mail contact with Scott Mccloud to driving off the lot with my 2021 Defender, everything was so pleasant and fast. Heck, we were in and out in about three hours including trading in our old vehicle, financing and driving away. The new vehicle was immaculate, as expected, and ready when we were. No high pressure tactics at all, which is what most car dealers are "infamous" for. We knew the vehicle we wanted, Scott helped us through the process, and Luis in finance was also great. Again, no high pressure tactics, just informal do you wish this or that and nothing else. The showroom was spotless, with many vehicles to look at. Everything was super clean, including the rest rooms and the coffee bar area. (They have a great selection of complimentary coffee's to choose from). Stopped by the service department today because the Land Rover emblem on the tailgate of my 2016 full size fell off while parked in my garage. Upon arrival, I was told "we're really busy but if you want to buy the part, someone will be out to help you." Fair enough. I purchased the part and then was "helped" by another service advisor. I told him what the issue was and said I hoped a tech could help my quickly replace the emblem in the proper place. His response: "you get me." He came out and looked at the tailgate and said the old residue needed to be cleaned away and they had nothing in the shop to remove it (odd, considering they sell and detail new and used cars). He then said the detailer was at the other lot (about a mile away). He didn't offer to bring him over or have me meet the detailer for a job that would have taken 5 minutes. I was repeatedly told how busy they were. I asked if I needed to make an appointment and he effectively told me "no." He then offered to get some rulers so I could take pictures for myself for where the emblem was supposed to be situated. Really? Long story short, they could not have been less interested in helping a potential new service customer with a very quick job that could have been handled in the driveway. Truly a sad introduction to the brand new local dealership for a premium brand. I was looking forward to having a local dealership to service this vehicle. This dealership is so unprofessional. The service department sucks. Treated like I didn't know what I was talking about when I came in to have my car looked at. No loaner vehicles? Unless you make an appointment 2-3 weeks in advance what a joke! After spending over $100,000.00 on a vehicle I would expect a loaner. Not once have I been checked on or been given an update on my car. I have been here for 4 hours now. The waiting room has no space, uncomfortable chairs with one couch. I have not been acknowledged by any employees that have walked by. I will never come back here for service. Called in to the dealership today and it reminded me of how awful each experience I've had has been going to this location. Customer service is not great. First time I had service done here. They checked my VIN to make sure the part was in, scheduled for me to come in... then it turned out the part was not the right part... I was sitting there for 4.5 HOURS. Crazy part is, they didn't actually tell me that they had the wrong part until 1.5 hours after my scheduled app. time. Second experience, I had a woman in the service department hand the phone over to someone else, mid convo of me explaining to her my car situation. Imaging hearing "hi, this is.." mid sentence. Like huh? What just happened here. Last time I went in to possibly trade my evoque, I sat down with someone, they checked my car, ran my credit, then at the end "couldn't" tell me what my credit score was or what they found out about MY car. Lack of communication? Terrible policies? Or was it that person's personal spite? I have no clue. (Definitely didn't move forward with closing a deal with this place. As a previous Land Rover owner I loved my Range Rover sport from Anaheim Land Rover, and was looking at purchasing a car, we had 3 different cars we were looking at that day. Once we had a deal, we couldn't get to Riverside since we both worked. So Eric made her happened and delivered the car and picked up my lease that was being turned in. I just purchased a 2020 Range Rover Velar from this dealership 3 weeks ago. We drove home and realized that there were bolts missing underneath the car. We immediately contacted our sales representative by text and phone call. We told him the issue and he said he would ship out the bolts that Monday. It has been 3 weeks and we still have not received the package. We even asked for a tracking number that he chose to not provide to us. We have texted and called multiple times in the past few weeks and he promised he will look into it. Yesterday 11/20/2020 we contacted him again to see where the package is, also asking for a tracking number and now we are getting no response. Hello to all. I am extremely saddened with the recent issues on my 2017 LR Sport. I loved this car until about 6 weeks ago. Then all of the sudden I had two significant issues with my car. Mind you I am a female who takes care of everything that's mine, including my car. I am a little out of my warranty timeframe and received a significant discount on service but I still consider my car a new vehicle and now with two major issues. The ONLY thing that is saving this car brand from me writing a terrible review is my service advisor MARK ESPINOZA. I feel like he has had my back above and beyond anyone else at this dealership. If I could I would give this place a 0 I would twice over. I have never had an issue with any dealership in my life and definitely did not believe I'd have an issue at a Land Rover dealership. I have had my 2022 Defender for 8 months now and 6 of those months my car has had either a cracked windshield and or a missing frame piece due to shipping issues yes but also due to the horrendous customer service in not only the parts department but the service as well. First windshield took 3 months to be delivered and I was notified when it arrived which is fine. Problem is, a couple days later a piece surrounding the windshield (that these guys can only replace on a Wednesday mind you) fell off on the freeway on Thanksgiving. I called and notified them and my service rep apparently though I was an idiot and told me it's weird that piece fell off because they don't touch it. Mind you the piece covers the side of the windshield so that was obviously a lie. Take you to Christmas (still waiting for the piece that fell off which I was told would take until the end of January) my car mysteriously got a crack that started on the edge of the windshield. Called the next day and notified them I might needed yet another windshield. I was told end of January. A couple weeks later the crack has now gone from 2 inches to 12. I called the service department and told them it's growing and I'm getting concerned but I was told to wait for the missing frame piece before I took it in to have the windshield replaced or fixed so they can do it in one trip. End of January rolls around they have now had my windshield for 2 weeks apparently ( never called to tell me this time) and the missing frame piece was going to take until end of February now. Fast forward to present. I called at the end of February and magically they had my missing piece that I hadn't had on my car since Thanksgiving. Oh and the parts guy informed me they had had it for about 2 weeks, again never got a single call to notify me and my service rep apparently found out when I did too. I scheduled my service to have the piece and my windshield put back on. Come to find out the piece I needed replaced had yet to be painted still and I asked two weeks prior to make sure it was going to be painted and installed at my now 5th visit to this horrendous dealer. Oh and the kicker that small crack that would've been covered under my warranty that had now become almost 2 feet long now voided my warranty because they only cover cracks 6inches or less. Also when I tried to dispute this I was informed that I have 72 hours to report until cracks to the warranty company. The dealership neglected to call the warranty company so they had no record so I'm having "glass protection" I had to pay $1110 dollars ( that was the wonderful "deal" I got from the service rep. And guess what I have to come back and waste more gas next week to have the piece that wasn't painted installed. I strongly urge anyone reading this to look at previous reviews about the service department at this dealership at minimum before going here ( I am NOT the first bad experience) . I purchased my car in Rancho Mirage and will gladly drive the hour and a half extra or go to Anaheim Hills in a heart beat anytime I want to buy another car or need any service. read more
