My original review was in regards to a 9:30 appt I made for an oil change and I was clear I needed to pick up my car no later than 4pm. When I arrived at 4, my car wasn't ready. I didn't end up leaving until after 5, thereby frustrating me and making me feel unimportant as a customer. I posted a 1 Star review at the time as I was still angry. Landmark attempted to contact me multiple times. Eventually, they called again and I spoke with someone. I had a chance to express how I felt to her. She listened, apologized, and asked how they can make it up to me to earn my business back. I have exclusively used this service department for almost 5 years now and never had an incident before, so I accepted the apology and a $50 credit that was offered. Landmark Ford demonstrated through her actions of repeatedly calling and finally speaking with me that they really cared about my opinion and my customer experience. So I am editing my review and bumping it up to 4 stars to account for all the positive experiences I have had here before this one incident. read more

Bought my truck back in 95 new from Landmark Ford and have been going there ever since for oil changes and repairs. At the time I thought I was getting a good deal but it wasn't till a few years later that I found out that I was stroked in the paper work. My fault, shouldn't have been drinking and trusting someone with my money, another life lesson learned lol. Last month I took the truck in for repair, loss of power and backfiring through the throttle body (the thing were the air goes into the engine). You would think that a mechanic at a dealership would be able to fix their own product right? Well after 4 trips, 7 hours of combined waiting, leaving it for another haft day and over $1,000 later it still isn't fixed. Basically if the vehicle doesn't have an error code the mechanics there are stumped as to what the problem could be and how to fix it. Words to describe Landmark Ford: Professional, Friendly, No Pressure, and Quick! On Sunday I went looking for a commuter car. My search went from the Nissan Virsa, to the Honda Fit, and then to Landmark Ford to look at the 2011 Ford Fiesta. I had previously sent an Internet request with the make and model, as well as my two color choices. My Android phone chirped that I had an email. I looked at it and Sales Person Diane Pohl sent me the internet pricing information, description, and window stickers for both 2011 Ford Fiesta cars. That was followed up with a phone call from her. When I arrived at Landmark Ford, Diane Pohl brought around the Lime Squeeze 2011 Ford Fiesta for a test drive. I will keep my review here to Landmark Ford, the 2011 Ford Fiesta speaks for itself. After the test drive, Diane suggested that I discuss the deal with my wife while having lunch: No pressure, No "what do we need to do to get you into that car today", No holding a credit card hostage, just a great professional attitude. After lunch we returned to Landmark Ford. I told Diane that I wanted that 2011 Ford Fiesta, in Silver. We returned to the showroom and Diane started the paperwork. The whole process took less than an hour, maybe a little longer because I messed up the credit application (a net versus gross thing). Diane walked me out to where my new 2011 Ford Fiesta was waiting. She showed me how to sync up my Bluetooth smart phone, explained all of the controls, and I was on my way in my new 2011 Ford Fiesta. My wife and I were so impressed that Landmark Ford will be our First destination for any future car shopping or maintenance needs. I highly recommend them! read more

I generally enjoy coming here and get satisfaction about getting my car serviced at a Ford dealership. I've been here a handful of times and have to say the service is becoming less consistent. My most recent visit was enough to irritate me and reconsider my treks out here. First of all, what's usually so great about this place is that you don't need an appointment, and they're open until midnight most nights! I gave them a call on a Monday thinking I could give them a head's up that I'll be in later. The phone rang and rang and I was unable to speak to anyone. I called again, this time calling the main line and asking to be transferred to the service department. The same exact thing happened. So I call back and finally speak with someone to verify their hours and see how busy they were, to which they told me to come in anytime tonight, no problem. After all this I was frustrated that once I got there I was told it would be a 45 minute to an hour wait because I did not have an appointment. Having drove about 10 miles just to get here and certainly still needing an oil change, I accepted. The icing on the cake was when it had already been past the time I was told and I noticed my car in a new parking spot, and had already been washed. This would usually mean they are finished, so I went up to the counter and asked if they were in fact done. Duh my car was ready but now they needed to complete my paperwork before I could leave. Okay, talk about inefficiency? Perhaps instead of chatting the night away, the employees could have been doing my paperwork while my car was getting worked on. Too much to ask for? read more

Having purchased 5 vehicles from Landmark, I guess you can call me a fan. They have generally provided me with excellent suvs at a good price and provided excellent follow up and service. I purchased a new 2017 Explorer in the Fall of 2016 just as they were released. When the vehicle was unloaded, a tiny scrape/dent was recorded. They held the vehicle for a month while we were traveling in Europe. After I picked it up, they discovered that the small ding had not been fixed. I certainly had never seen it. They called and expedited a fix quickly while providing a loaner similar to my new vehicle. I got a call from the President of Landmark apologizing for the problem and offering a free detail after I had driven if for a year. Great service and follow up! Recently, I noted that my original equipment tires were not holding up well. I dropped in to service right after lunch on one day and by the same time the next day, they had arranged with the tire provided to pay most of the replacement cost and had installed my new tires in time for a family trip. Again, they went beyond what they needed to do in order to provide excellent service. If you are in the market for a car or need service, I recommend Landmark without reservation. read more

We have an older car that ourTeenager uses. I am a middle aged female and I brought it in when the "check engine" light came on. We have used Landmark for all of our repair needs on our Ford truck, however, they treat me like I am mentally incompetant and the upsell is horrendous. I value mechanics. They do what I cannot. This time, however, we brought a functioning vehicle to them and suddenly were told there was a "catastrophic" failure...which would cost more than the worth of the vehicle to repair. Really angry right now! You know, in the past we have been pretty happy with you guys but all it takes is 1 uncaring employee who doesn't give a crap. You took our truck. All we needed was tires! Just Tires! You said it would be 1 day. I left several messages without a callback and when I finally get in touch with someone they casually say, it will be MONDAY?? WTF is wrong with you? We were suppose to get it back yesterday. No call? No update? No Im sorry sir, thats going to be delayed, what would you like to do? We had the truck picked up on wed. I am so disappointed in our overall experience here. We drive 6 hours to buy a truck from this dealership. They knew we were coming, we checked in the night before and in the morning. My husband let them know we'd be arriving about 11 am to look at a used truck they'd had for a while, I also sent them our preapproval and financing info to get a head start on the process. When we arrived at the used car building the salesman we'd been communicating with wasn't there. It took about 10-15 minutes for him to arrive. Then we had to go find the truck and he had to jump it because it had been sitting for a while. I wondered why this hadn't been done prior to our arrival but at this point things were still going well and the truck met our needs. The test drive went fine and we decided to purchase. They needed to change the oil, add gas, and wash the truck while we went over financing. Our salesman also informed us they would put a new battery in since the existing one wasn't holding a charge. At some point during the financing process we was collecting information and struggling with the technology. He made a joke about it being 'retarded'. I was so taken aback. It's 2020. We all know better than to use the R word. After what transpired later, I wish we had walked away at that point. It took 2 hours to complete our paperwork, which bothered me because I'd gotten us pre approved for a loan already and felt like that should have sped the process up. Finally after 3 and a half hours (the last hour we spent waiting on our salesman to replace the battery) we drove off with our new truck. We stayed with family that night and planned to drive back to Spokane in the morning. Later that evening we drove the truck to a friends house. On our way back to my cousins the battery started to die. I called the dealership and was given the option to make an appointment for the next morning. I was told my appointment was with Ian on the green team at 8:30 am. On our way there the truck completely died on the freeway about 2 exits from the dealership. I called to ask if they could loan us jumper cables to help us get it there. I was directed to call Ian specifically who did not answer. We drove in our working car and left the truck. When we arrived Ian told us we didn't have an appointment. He looked and said it had been scheduled for 2. We explained what was going on. He refused to loan us jumper cables and was not very helpful until we pushed. He finally got approval from the used car office to tow our truck and look at it. We left with the understand that the two could take up to 90 minutes and he'd call us when he knew what was wrong. We made sure to tell him we needed to drive back to Spokane that day. We waited all day wondering how expensive this problem could be with absolutely no communication from anyone in the dealership. Sometime in the morning the finance person we'd done paperwork with called to tell ya he'd had us fill out the title paperwork for Oregon, not Washington. My husband told him we were still in town and said we'd come fill the correct paperwork out when we picked up the the truck. Aaron said anyone in the office could help us. Around 2 pm I got a text with a phone number saying I could communicate with Ian during my appointment. Around 3 pm I texted. No respond. Around 3:30 pm I called and left a voicemail. No response. Finally, about 4:30 pm Ian called. A lose wire had been preventing the battery from recharging and they fixed it at no cost to us. He said we could pick it up by 5:30 when paperwork was finished. We arrived at the dealership at 5 to fix the title error. We sat there for 25 minutes and were completely ignored. We gave up and went to get the truck from the service center. It took so long to get our keys that we didn't drive away until after 6 pm. At this point we were exhausted and frustrated. When we hadn't heard from the dealership by 4 pm we made arrangements to stay an extra day. We couldn't stay with family that night so we ended up in a hotel. My husband had to call in to work that Thursday. I am self employed so I had to cancel a day full of clients. Between extra travel costs, hotel, and work, this ended up being a way more expensive trip than planned. No one at the dealership apologized for our experience. Ian was rude and seemed inconvenienced by us. We had to find time back at home to get the title paperwork notarized and sent in. I regret ever contacting Landmark Ford and would encourage my family and friends in Portland to never purchase there. read more

I assume most car buying experiences start great, and if there's a problem, it goes downhill from there. My recent experiences -- yes, there have been multiple of them -- with Landmark Ford went from bad to worse. The first one began with the attempted purchase of a 2020 Transit 350. We had purchased the 2018 at an out-of-state dealer that was able to custom outfit the rig for our specialized needs because Landmark could not source a local company to provide the buildout. It was the high roof version, since our employees stand inside to do their work. Landmark really wanted our local business, so once we had the 2018, we sent pictures to the sales person, we drove the vehicle to the dealership so that they could take pictures and prepare for when we needed our second unit for a fast-growing enterprise. We drove the van once again to the dealership so that the outfitting company they sourced locally and the sales person could walk through, do measurements, take more pictures. This, so that when we were ready to pull the trigger on our second unit, everyone was on the same page and the process could be turnkey. Fast forward to November 2019, and we place our order. Then we wait, and wait, and wait. Finally, late February 2020 comes, and the new Transit is delivered to the local outfitter. Problem is, it's not the high ceiling unit. Sure, you could stand up in it... if you were 4' 9" tall once the buildout was complete. So, by that point, the sales person has "left" the dealership, they rescind the deal and say "you're on your own" to find the proper replacement. Within 24 hours I am on a plane to the Los Angeles area to pick up the right rig. Four days and $5,000+ in California sales tax and travel expenses later, the correct van is back in Portland. Landmark Ford's assistance with the added costs and hassle? Zero. Oh, and it gets even better. Part of my purchase package was a 2020 Ford Escape to be custom branded as an advertising vehicle. The day I picked it up from the graphics installer, there was a horrible screeching sound in the front end. Something about the frame needing proper installation. They just called today to say the car was ready for pickup... 30 days later. This was my first experience with Landmark Ford... looks like I'll be finding another Ford dealer for future purchases and service. read more

I notified service agent that my brake light was out when I turned in my car for "the works" services. I received my car back after 2 hours of waiting, the brake light was still not replaced. I was first told that they didn't have the part and had to order the bulb (which was not communicated to me upfront) I tried my own brake to discover the light was still not working. I had stressed when turning my vehicle over how important it was for me to get this repaired because I have California plates and did not want to get pulled over in Oregon for a brake light out. I asked for the part number, which he could not provide me. My response was then "if you ordered it you should know?" He then looked at the report (which I had to hunt him down for after being handed my keys by the gentleman who washed my car) and mumbled something about "a different client" After I reviewed the report it read, all brake lights were functional which suggested to me the multi-point inspection was not actually done. Because the brake light was not working at the time of the inspection. So I stand to question if anything was done the entire 2 hours my car was in they're possession? If my oil even got changed, or my filters, anything? So after paying for services more than likely, not rendered, I had to go to another dealership and actually pay for those services to ensure that my car received proper care and treatment. What a disappointing experience. Although Landmark repaired the light after too much back and forth and me being charged for it prior to getting my vehicle back initially, I will not be returning to Landmark Ford. read more

Went in just to look at the demo ford lightning truck and see the difference between the Oxford white and star white color. Never did I think that just simply looking at those 2 things would lead to such a terrible unexpected experience. We were greeted by a very rude sales person who the first words out of his mouth was NOT Hello, or How are you or What brings you in. No, his first words to us were "why are you looking at those?" Ha seriously what kind of sales person says that to greet someone?! I have worked with a ton of Ford dealerships over the years and know how the order process works (proud owner of 7 Ford trucks and suvs in the past) and fully understand the limitations of ordering a new lighting in todays market. I plan to order a new one when the 2023 reservations open up again soon and when I mentioned that the sales person responded with, quote, "That's a dumb idea just like electric vehicles in general and you won't get one for 6 years because the truck is having issues and not built well." Seriously unreal. If someone is excited to order any product from your company regardless of the timing you share the excitement with them and don't bash you're own company and vehicles. Do your job and help the customer in any way you can to achieve what they want. He then stated un factual stats about the truck and was pretty un knowledgeable on everything about the truck and he ended up walking away. He literally walked away when I questioned one of his answers. Literally walked away and left us. Are you 12 years old?! I will take my Ford business elsewhere and tell others to do the same. I will never step foot on that property again, good luck with that guy being part of your sales team.... read more

This is my 2nd review and still remains at 2 stars. Nice people. I find it frustrating to own a 2016 Ford F-350 king Ranch with 11,000 miles and have to make an appointment and wait 1 1/2 hours for a simple oil change. The online appointment is convenient. I wish they could be as efficient as a Jiffy Lube for the oil changes and tire rotations. Usually about 15 - 20 minutes there. The manager commented on my last review they were working to make the oil changes faster. Empty words. It is still 1 1/2 hours. Don't say something and then not take action on it. read more

After an awful weekend of shopping local dealerships, I tried my luck on Edmunds. I was inundated with emails and phone calls from area dealers showing me close to what I wanted, but not exactly. That is, until Charlie emailed me. He sent me what I'd requested, but after a couple of emails back and forth, he realized that I was settling and gave me a call. Without me even having to ask, he was searching the regional database for the model with the exact features I wanted in my first color choice. I drove to Landmark that afternoon to check out a similar vehicle in the wrong color, just to make sure it was THE car I wanted. I decided yes, so we went inside to talk numbers. There was no handoff game, no sharky sales tactics whatsoever. Charlie found extra rebates for me, and with my Edmunds price being right at invoice, there was no haggling needed. He didn't even shove Ford financing down my throat since I'd already qualified through my bank. I had my out-the-door price, in my terms, with my interest rate. We shook on it, and he began the dealer trade process. The car was available next day. Charlie walked me through all the new technology to make sure I had a clear understanding how to use it, and scheduled me for a follow-up session after two weeks. The paper signing process was pretty quick, and although the finance guy was on the upsell train, he didn't push very hard. This was an easy and stress free car buying experience. I would never recommend this place for body work. My insurance work should have been easy to complete, but my rear door is still not right and after three trips back to the body shop and no noticeable difference all while losing my car for a day and having to contact them after 8 hours to see if if my car was ready. That on top of them trying not to replace a part that fell off stating they never touched it and then back peddling after I showed them on the list of items they billed my insurance for that it was the first thing listed. Then they charged my insurance again for the part that fell off due to their poor installation. Finally the missing guard that they say my vehicle doesn't have. So I have to take my vehicle to another body shop to get the work done correctly. Thanks for nothing Landmark. The beauty is they'll want to talk to me and make it "right", but that's something they failed to do the times already. read more

This is the worst Ford dealership I've ever been to! They are not only incompetent but also very slow! They jacked the price way up on parts and labor which you expect when going to a Ford dealership anyways! I brought my 2013 Ford F150 here, because the radio was having issues and the touchscreen navigation, which happens on almost every single one 2011 through 2015 there was a service bulletin issued it's public information and it's now outside of the warranty., although at first the service technicians act like it's their first time seeing it! And then they try and quote you $2600 for parts and labor, of course the parts are two weeks out even though they know very well they should stock them because all of them have the same damn issue!!! I think they take used car salesman from 82nd Ave. and turn them into service technicians! Because they still have the same greasy haired slick back used car salesman mentality! Their rental department was fabulous!! I wanted to rent a F150 for an extended test drive. (it's hard to make a $50k decision based on a quick around the block drive with a hungry sales person breathing down your neck) They have F150's for rent at very reasonable rates. For around $50 I was able to test one for about half a day. They even reduced the rental rate when I told them I was thinking about buying one. I wish more dealerships would offer their current vehicle lineup for extended test drives. I applaud Landmark for providing this service. read more

Worst experience at a car dealership ever...by a mile. I purchased a Ford truck from another dealership last evening and, looking for an expert opinion, I promptly scheduled an appointment with Landmark Ford to get a pre-purchase inspection. I had just five days to make a decision on whether or not to keep the truck. I explained all of this in the comments section of my scheduled appointment. The next morning I received a call from Michelle, but was unable to answer the phone, because like many other people, I have a job. She left a vague message, just asking me to call her back, no details at all. I called back at my earliest opportunity, but the phone rang several times, then went to voicemail where I left a message for Michelle. She called back, but I was again unable to answer the phone. Again she left a vague message that she called. I returned the call a second time, but again she was unavailable. I ended up leaving work early so I could make the scheduled time and arrived approximately ten minutes early. After waiting for my service advisor for approximately ten minutes I was told, "Sorry, we don't do pre purchase inspections". I left his office and called Michelle from my truck...SURPRISE...she had stepped away fro her desk and was again unavailable. I finally reached a manager and after explaining my situation, he sighed and said, "Sorry, I will talk with her." That was it! In either of her messages Michelle could have said, "I'm sorry, we don't do pre-purchase inspections. Let me know if the is anything else I can help you with." The service advisor could have said, "Sorry, let me help you find a service department that can help you." And the manager, above all, could have done the same, but nobody seemed the least bit concerned about the customer. Now I have lost an afternoon of pay, have driven out of my way to go to this sorry excuse of a Ford dealership, had somebody follow me there in another car so I had a ride home, and most importantly have lost a whole day of my 5-day decision window with the weekend now upon me. We had a great experience at Landmark. A few weeks ago we bought a used Subaru and the process was incredibly easy. They are a CUDL dealership so the loan process was very smooth since we already had a pre-approval with our credit union. Our salesman, Westin, made everything move as quickly and efficiently as he could. He was surprisingly knowledgeable about a vehicle make the dealership didn't even sell new. When we made an offer we felt was fair they also felt it was fair and moved forward rather than the usual back and forth haggling. We have two children under two and Westin worked hard to help with activities for them or keep them entertained during the process. He even came in on his day off to make sure our car was detailed (we purchased when it had just been traded in) and ensured I had a top of the line rental for the day. It was probably the easiest car buying experience I've ever had. If you come here ask for Westin, you won't be disappointed. read more

Where to begin... (preferably not at Landmark) 2 months ago the transmission went out on my truck. (Disclaimer - all of my dealings with Landmark have been over the phone, and I have not dealt with sales, only service. I had work done, just couldn't come in) The night it went out I got my paperwork that said I have a 3 year warranty on my transmission. Day 2 I talk to an employee via the web who says I need to confirm with the original dealership Landmark can do the warranty work. After a few days of calling around I finally got the confirmation - Landmark could fix it - under warranty. I'm a student who only works part time so this news was fantastic. I spent the next day or two arranging for a tow truck since Landmark was gonna fix it. Like I said - student budget. The people I talked to were all aware of this and seemed to be willing to work with me. A few days have gone by since it broke, but the truck is FINALLY getting towed. I get a confirmation phone call that the truck is there. So far, so good. A couple hours pass and I get another phone call. The service provider is telling me my warranty is invalid. The warranty I spent a week calling around about to make sure it was good. Then he says the techs pulled out my dipstick and there was metal flakes. Since my transmission isn't under warranty is it okay for them to drop it and put a remanufactured transmission in it? 3 grand plus labor. Its gonna cost me an hour of labor for them to do what they've already done (pulling up a dipstick takes a total of 5 seconds) and if I want them to pull the pan its gonna be more labor but since there was metal shavings he's almost positive the whole thing is gonna need to be replaced so it's a waste of time. (Cant remember exact words, wasn't waste of time verbatim) BRAKES. WHAT? How, after weeks of jumping through hoops making sure my warranty was valid, did this happen? "Well the guy that works over there put down the wrong warranty right here and we cant honor that. Only the valve body and torque convertor are covered." Well jeez, if the transmission has blown up I need to figure it out. Let the SA know I would think about my options. (At this point I should mention on two separate occasions the SA told me he would do something and call back, and either didnt call back at all, or called a week later.) I called back and said I would pay the hour labor (for 5 seconds of work, and a lazy tech who had a "must be completely blown up I dont wanna touch it just swap a new one in there" attitude.) and have the truck towed. I paid my fee and the truck was off. (After a total of a month and a half at Ford) I got a call from the new transmission guy about an hour after the truck went on the lift. He dropped the pan and saw no metal. He checked the valve body and the nut was completely loose. He tightened it and took it on a test drive and the truck was completely fine. An hour of labor and tow and my truck is fixed - at a one man operation running out of his small garage. I cannot explain the extent of unnecessary stress and frustration I have had over the last 2 months dealing with this dealership. My transmission wasnt blown, it had a loose nut. COVERED by the warranty. Fixed by one man in an hour. I can assure you myself nor my friends/family will be spending money here anytime soon. Do not waste your time, or your money, at Landmark Ford. If you don't have a warranty, a smaller shop will do a better job at a better price. Don't be fooled by the good reviews like I was. Ive been without a vehicle for 2 months and have had to pay over $500 for something that should have been covered and fixed same day. read more

Buying a vehicle at Landmark Ford is about as easy as purchase of vehicle can get. The staff at Landmark are very attentive and have their process together. There is a lot of paperwork involved in a vehicle purchase and this all went smoothly. Poor customer service. Told me to wait for an oil change that ended up taking 4 hours. I was going to take advantage of their rental program but they kept telling me it would only take 45 min. If I would have been told this would take 4 hours, I would have gladly dropped off my car and picked it up in the evening. read more

Tony and the Green Team SAVED my life! my 99 Explorer started smoking from the steering column at 6:00 pm last night! Then when I turned the ignition OFF and then turned it ON again; there were "fire sounds"; popping, sizzling, all very BAD stuff. Scared to even drive it over to them but Tony met me and said it could likely get seen on Monday (4 days out)....I drive for my small business and need to have a set of wheels asap. I told him I'd take the cheapest rental he had so that I could still run my business. Tony guessed it would cost more than a couple hundred to fix it if it was the electrical system in the steering column, the the cost of a rental for 4 days?? Ugh. Tony helped me with the rental car and said he would try to get my truck looked at tomorrow, but no promises. The service department people are very courteous and helpful. And, I would recommend them.

Had power outlet fuse part $1.23 replaced twice. At first time it was $35 with blue service team. But, this time Gold service team charged me one our labor fee for the replacement , which is $110. Reason was hard to reach out the compartment. I paid with frustration. But after I expressed the issue to their online survey later on, they contacted me in a few days and gave me $80 refund saying they found that there was miscommunication between service adviser & technician. I like the fact that they have two lines of communication channel, which listens to customer concerns. read more

I will never do business with Ford again. They make cars that don't even last 75,000 miles. Service department could not diagnose or resolve the issues with my 2014 Ford Escape that has been meticulously cared for since day one. My car stalls and shakes violently randomly with a dash message of "Engine Fault Service Now" but since they can't replicate the issue then there is no problem even though it's listed in the cars computer as having occurred. Mechanic acted clueless about this being an issue with the car but yet online forums and recalls indicate this is in fact a known issue that has been acknowledged by Ford and recall for almost 13000 vehicles was issued which my vehicle falls under the manufactured during date. They couldn't find the recall and are not willing to investigate further. You lost my business for life. My entire families business for life. I won't even get an oil change at a ford dealership ever again. Horrible engineering. read more

My car purchase experience was fantastic at Landmark Ford. I can only give two stars because the service department is terrible. I called twice to speak to someone in service and both times I was told no one was available and I'd need to leave a message. I left messages both times and after a week I still had not heard back from anyone. I finally just scheduled a service appointment to address my concerns and was given an appointment that was five days later. Now I'm looking at getting my concerns addressed nearly two weeks after my first call. I finally get my car into the shop with a scheduled appointment at 8am. At 10:30 I was told they might get a chance to look at my car sometime after lunch and they would call when they have a chance. I guess service isn't part of the service departments concerns. read more
