I have a mini electric folding bike and my handlebars got loose and fell off. I had all the pieces and I first called Barry's in Worcester to see if they could reattach them and they wouldn't even look at it because I didn't purchase the bike at their store. So I called Landry's and they said they were happy to take a look. I stopped in Friday afternoon and Neil fixed it up right then in about 5 minutes! I had all the pieces so he was able to put it together quickly and they are reattached very nicely now. They didn't charge me ANYTHING for this! Excellent quick service - highly recommend!!! We purchased our specialized cross roads 3.0 bike from here. It is nice to work with Landry's they were able to get the bike sooner than originally expected. Sebastian was very helpful. He patiently explained all the features and waited for me to test ride the bike and then make adjustments as needed. He also installed accessories such as a bell and a water bottle holder. My husband and I went to Landry's Bicycles in Worcester to purchase a bicycle for our grandson's upcoming 3rd birthday. We received great customer service from Miles. Miles listened carefully, answered our questions, provided input when we asked for it, and helped us select the perfect bike. He never pushed us. I wrote about my experience about the Landry's location in Boston, but I think this store is different enough in some critical ways that it merits its own review. Again I had a spoke break, this time out in Worcester on a Sunday, and my usual shop was closed, in fact all the other Worcester shops were closed at 3:45 on a Sunday. Since I was in the area, and I knew I'd be back in the area in a few days, I decided to give this location a shot. Before I even got to the door, one of the folks there opened it for me and asked what I needed. I explained to him my problem and he quickly ushered me over to the repair section of the store. He quickly looked at my wheel and told me that they would be able to have a new spoke on it by the end of Monday. I explained to him that I wasn't in a rush, but he assured me that it wasn't a burden to do it so quickly. This was a complete 180 from what I experienced in Boston, and much more in line with the way that all the Worcester shops have treated me(maybe its a regional thing?). Before dropping the wheel off, I asked how much it would cost and I was quoted $40 for the spoke and the labor. Again, this is at least $15 more than I've paid at other shops in Worcester, but when you need a fix sometimes you spend the extra money to get rolling sooner rather than later. A day later my wheel was ready and I picked it up at the end of the week. I appreciate the friendly service, and especially the longer than average hours that Landry's provides for the Worcester cycling community. What keeps me from giving them the full 5 stars is the premium they charge for the work they do there. read more

I needed a sprocket moved from one wheel to another. Seemed like a common job that you would be able to do if you ran a bicycle shop. I was told they could do it so I drove 20 miles to bring them the wheels. The very young service crew shook their heads and told me they didn't have the tool to do this job, shrugged their shoulders and sent me out the door. Bicycles don't require limitless tools like a car shop. I'd expect a store of this size to have proper tools to service bikes. read more

I went to Landrys on Jolma Rd. in Worcester, MA. to buy a bike. The first time I went to the store, Neil was so helpful in talking with me about what I was looking for in a bike, and then identifying the bikes that would be best. He did a lot of research checking bikes using their own website as well as others. I actually could see what the bike looked like I was going to buy, and the other key information about it. The next time I went to the store was to pick up the bike. Drew was at the store at the time. I was having difficulty understanding how the gears worked. Drew was so knowledgeable on how the gears worked, and how best to work the shifters- depending on different elevations and surfaces. He even suggested I ride the bike around the outside of the store to make sure I understood how to work the shifters. He also suggested the Global Cycling Network as a resource. There were a couple of younger men who were also helpful in describing the accessories (lights, mirror), and then put the ones I wanted on my bike. I highly recommend going to Landrys in Worcester if you are looking to buy a bike. They all took their time with me, and genuinely seemed to have my best interest in mind. read more

After hearing good things about Landry's, I decided to give it a try as I was looking for a bike. I found the one I wanted available for pre-order. There was not expected date on the website so I called hoping they would have a rough estimate. The guy who answered the phone told me he could have the bike in 10 days after convincing me to get the color other than the one I wanted. I needed this bike by a certain date so I could take it on my vacation... and the guy knew that. He had asked me to purchase it over the phone rather than online because it looks good on paper if he makes the sale. I immediately made the purchase in full over the phone. 10 days later I had not heard anything so I gave them a call, they said it will be here in 4 days and it was never supposed to come in the 10 days I was told. 4 days later I had not received a call so I called again and the guy who answered said everything was on schedule and it should be there today. later on that day I received a call only to hear the truck arrived.... however my bike was not on it. I did not end up getting the bike by my vacation. Fast forward to 22 days after my order, I get a call saying the bike was delayed and will not arrive until "Some time next year" which is at least 5 months from now. I understand with everything going on in the world, some things are beyond Landry's control. With that being said, I am bothered that they lied to me about having it in 10 days, and I was disappointed I could not take it on vacation. I cannot help but feel like I was lied to about the delivery date simply to make the sale. Summarizing, I would not recommend dealing with Landry's if you hope to have your bike any time soon. After reading other reviews, I am not surprised to see most poor reviews are customer service related. read more

I went to Landrys today with my girlfriend on our first day out looking at bikes in a brick and mortar vs online or on Craigslist. From the moment we walked in, we knew it was the place to do business. Immediately, we were greeted and told that as soon as someone was free they'd be right with us. Not 5 minutes later, Rob, the lead mechanic and part time salesman came over and introduced himself to us. He asked us how he could help and after a little bit of information gathering on his end, he went to work. He was able to show me a bike that fit exactly what I wanted and that was right where I told him I wanted to be price-wise. I had many questions that I fired off at Rob and not once did he studder or get taken aback. After a good long conversation of what and how everything worked and the benefits of the certain parts he went to help my girlfriend find a bike for her. While he was away, we were also asked twice if by his co-worker if we had questions in the mean-time. When Rob went out back he was able to find a leftover that was a little more than my price range by $200 but was way better in terms of functionality and reliability. He then showed my girlfriend a bike that fit her needs and price range perfectly as well! Rob is one of the most professional, friendly, and passionate salesman I've encountered and I am in sales myself. Rob hands down is an incredible asset to Landrys and for that reason I made a purchase right then and there which I was planning to make in 2 months. He offered me the option to secure the bike with a deposit and make payments over the next months which for me made all the difference. I will never go anywhere else due to Rob and Landrys. This is the place to go. Ask for Rob, he truly cares and will take you from knowing nothing to feeling incredibly comfortable about your purchase due to his 16 plus years of experience.
