A great place to get some service or a new bike. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. This spring we were in the market for a new bike for myself and our son. They listened to what we were looking for and did not try to oversell us on anything. We also purchased a rack from them and after a few weeks of challenges we returned. Nate met us at the car and talked through the challenge. We ultimately needed a different rack to make it work for our bikes. Again great customer service! read more

Absolute scam artists. Took two bikes in, one just needed a new chain and the other needed a little more significant drive train work. They magically found $500 worth of work on the bike that just needed a new chain and refused to do any work on it unless we agreed to all of it. They said they needed to keep the other bike overnight before they could even give us a quote. I can't imagine what new problems would have appeared overnight. Definitely will never go back and certainly don't feel like I could trust them for anything. read more

I really liked this bike shop. Recently I had a product that I bought there that failed. When I tried to contact them about whether this product would be returnable or under warranty they acted like I was trying to steal from them. They could not find the receipt. When I went through my receipts I saw thousands of dollar of receipts for products and services at this shop but I could not find the specific receipt for this item. We have brought the children's bikes in for repairs a couple times now and the employees are always courteous. The prices are always reasonable. Recently we brought in a bike for a repair. They were not able to get a new part due to the pandemic. My child was upset he would not be able to ride his bike. When we got to the shop they had found a donor part and replaced it for free. My child was so happy that he would be able to ride again. I would highly recommend them. They care about their customers and their products and it shows. read more

Hey Peeps, if you are looking for a new bike shop, check this place out! I live 45 mins away and the closet bike shop to me is 10 minutes but it's worth the drive to have a knowledgeable and experience bicycle mechanic service a bike! That is how good this guy is. I had Eric service my bike and he did more than just replace a tire. He explained to me why the tire blew because my old bike shop forgot to install the rim strip that protects the tube from the bolts! Not only did he fix the tire, he tweaked the bike so that it shifts smoother which was a problem my old bike shop couldn't fix. I would highly recommend coming here to service your bike and the shop has a nice selection of bikes if you are looking for a new one. Totally satisfied with the quality of repair. I walked in off the street to buy my son a bike for his birthday. The shop was clean, organized and immediately someone came over to help me. I didn't really know one brand from another, but the guy (I wish I could remember his name but I can't, sorry brother) that helped me out explained everything, was patient, knowledgeable and not the least bit pushy. I told him how tall my son was, how old he was and what he liked to do on the bike. I had no idea what size to get, but the dude showed me some recommendations and the one I picked fit him perfect. The prices were average and the staff were awesome. Just an FYI, these are not Walmart bikes, but middle and high end stuff. My sons BMX ran about $300 but the look on his face was worth it. read more

I broke a spoke on a long ride and the resulting bent wheel caused significantly more damage before I finished my ride, but the local bike shop in Gardner said that they couldn't get to it for two weeks. My daughter suggested that I try the "new bike place in Leominster," so I drove over there at 11 AM. When I entered the shop, I was met by three salespeople, one supervisor, and FOUR bike technicians working in a neat, clean, well-organized workshop adjacent to the sales floor. They immediately put my bike up on a stand and took a look at it. They fixed the spoke, trued the wheel, fixed the gasket around the inside of the rim, blew up the tires, sold me some oil for the chain and showed me how to oil it, adjusted my gears and brakes a bit and sold me a new set of panniers that attached to the back of the bike. They were quick, professional, and charged me very little above the cost of the parts. I would recommend this bike shop to anyone serious about any kind of biking, including mountain biking, racing, commuting, and recreational touring. I like doing business with my local bike shop. Tomten is not too close to home, but they advertised a smart trainer for sale. It was the exact one I was looking for and the price was great. They were kind enough to hold it for me for 2 days, until I could pick it up. When I got it home, I had trouble connecting my bike to the trainer. I contacted the store, and they were quick to respond. Explained that I would need a few extra parts, and asked for a day to look around the shop. The next day they had all the parts I needed. When I picked them up (no charge) they were kind enough to go over the details of mounting the bike and some tips if I run into trouble. The best part is, several days later I received an email from the store, checking in to make sure I was all set. Who does that nowadays ? Tomten did! I will definitely be making the 40 minute drive in the future when I need equipment. I can't say enough about the customer service. read more

I visited Tomten (a Swedish elf!) Biketown to find a bike I could invest a little money into, that would be good on roads and the occasional trail or bike path. I was N O T disappointed! The friendly and very knowledgeable staff helped me pick out the exact bike for my needs. Unlike big box stores like Dick's, I had a large selection to choose from and they not only measured me for the proper fit before custom ordering my bike, they also made certain that it was adjusted in every way to fit my body perfectly when I picked it up. I've never had a better ride in my life. The automatic shocks are a HUGE bonus! I'll return for all my cycling needs, because I was sold a dream of a bike, but never once felt pressured or sold on something I didn't want.
