We made a reservation for 3:45 pm. We were seated with F. as our server. F. started off cordial, he answered our questions regarding recommendations and such. We ordered at 3:55 pm and long story short- did not receive our food until 4:45 pm. As you can imagine, this wait was frustrating. We overheard at the table next to us a server, C., offering bread to her party, about 35 minutes into this dreaded wait. We respectfully flagged her down and asked for some, saying we had been waiting forever without any bread, she explained it is usually upon request only but was more than happy to bring us baguettes. Now, this was my first time at Landry's Seafood House, though I've been to several Landry's restaurants before as a LSC member. But how would I know to request free bread? After 30 minutes of waiting, shouldn't F. have just brought us some? I would have as a waiter. But no- we had to ask another server. C. started taking care of us little by little. Kudos to her for trying to salvage our experience with the bread and even free ice cream. But there was just so much wrong. One thing was our drinks were empty visibly but we had to constantly remind F. about refills, and he was not checking in on us otherwise. Instead of him anticipating our concern and explaining the hour long wait for food, we eventually asked what was taking so long and he checked only then. He said the kitchen was backed up. There were also discrepancies in our ordering that made him charge us for free substitutions, but I luckily looked over the receipt so he could fix it. The worst part of all of this was the food was not even hot, not good, I will stick with local restaurants when visiting Corpus going forward. My thinking was oh, I can trust a Landry's spot- but I was wrong. I did see the manager much later in our experience come check on us. I wanted to say all of this to him then- but didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

I visited Landry's for lunch. They had a special "Box Lunch Special" for $17. I only had a short break so I ordered the seared salmon. It came with warm garlic butter french toast that was great. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The side salad looked like it had been arranged by an artist. The server asked right away if I wanted more balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Actually the server was great, she kept checking on me and was able to direct me to activities in Corpus since it was my first time here. The ice tea was ok. Not the best nor the worst I've ever had. The plate came with a delicious piece of salmon that I thought might be seasoned with one seasoning but it was actually just cajun seasoning and lemon butter. Rice and broccoli. Everything tasted great. I'll be back. Maybe for dinner. I hear the salmon cooked on a cedar plank is delicious. The restaurant was like a fancy restaurant. Clean and nicely decorated. Being on the water, some places tend to look like the inside of a fisherman's boat.

Nice ambiance on a houseboat located on the T heads. The interior feels like an old train but of course wider. They have a great lunch special and I chose the fish tacos. They are excellent and came with onion strings and fries as well as a very fresh salad. Their house balsamic dressing was very tasty. The service was also excellent and attentive. The manager came by and got us our oysters on the half-shell quickly and I must add they were very fresh and plump. I would recommend them for the oysters as best I've had in years. Superb!!

The service was unfortunately slow considering that the restaurant was not busy. Not a fan of the taste because it was barely warm. All of our foods came out just barley warm, nothing seemed freshly cooked/ hot. The staff was good about bringing requested sauces and sides but like the bread was not brought out until roughly 45mins of us waiting! Same with the main dishes, it took an extremely long time for the food to be brought to our table. We sat outside so views of the pier made it a little better. I am not a fan of wasting food and the fact that all the food was just barely warm and not hot was unbearable to eat in addition to the lack of . Extremely disappointing for the price point.

We were looking for a place to eat near the Omni in Corpus Christi, so this ended up being our dinner selection. I was pleasantly surprised. The entire restaurant is set up on a barge-like structure that basically houses a decently-sized boat. It was a bit of a walk to get to the location and there's a lot of construction around, but it didn't kill the atmosphere once you got inside. Service was good. You could tell that the waiters are encouraged to upsell, or maybe it was just in our waiter's nature to offer a bunch of additional things that we didn't want or need. I don't blame him for trying. The place has an upscale vibe and you can tell that people don't come here for a budget dinner. I opted for the Mahi Mahi and my wife went with the Pontchatrain. We sampled each other's meals and agreed that while they were both good, we each ordered what would make us most happy. I don't know how often I'll be in Corpus Christi in future, but if we do end up down that way, this will definitely be a repeat visit in future.

Saturday lunch with family for my cousins birthday unfortunately the best immediate thing for the entire table was our drinks. We each individually had overcooked food from shrimp, steak, to salmon. Alongside dishes like gumbo that simply tasted like gravy. Service was subpar the waiter refilled some drinks while leaving others empty throughout the entire encounter. I had to send my first salmon dish back as it was extremely overcooked and I'm still not sure if the croquette contained gluten which he ensured me none of the dish did. My second dish was much better only slightly undercooked. The manager came by and did apologize to us for the inconvenience. Overall great place to go for drinks and a salad wouldn't go for entrees.

Drove in from out of town. Decided to eat at Landrys. Arrived at 7:42 pm 40 minute wait time We sat at the bar in the meantime. Took bartender 15 minutes to wait on us. We ordered 1/2 dozen oysters on the shell. After we were seated about 40 minutes later oysters were brought to our table and they were room temperature at best. Not Gulf oysters. Server took them away. Placed food order at 8:30 pm It's now 9:06 no food. Haven't seen our server in a while. About 9:46 food arrived. I had the redfish. Found a fish scale. Advised our server. Michaela came over told her about the scale. She said I will take care of this. Brought us our bill within seconds. Paid full price. Oh well. This is what fresh seafood should look like. As presented at The Yardarm.

    Salmon, rice and asparagus

Stated off with some warm garlic bread which was ok. Then we ordered a starter of the crab and shrimp crab cakes which were a filled with a lot of filler!! The remoulade around the crab cakes did not have much flavor. My son got the salmon with rice and asparagus,,,Delicious with a honey type basalmic!! I ordered the lunch blackened mahi with onion strings and fried zucchini. The onion strings weren't bad...just bland. The zucchini was in a light batter and I thought they were just ok. The mahi sandwich was dry so I sent it back. If I were to go back I would order the salmon...but because of all of the flies and gnats i prob would not go back. Our server was friendly!! Not a terrible experience, but not overall that good to be honest. Decor was a little outdated and just a meh kind of lunch for two for $78 after tip and only water to drink.

Arrived at Landry's Seafood House, 600 N. Shoreline Corpus Christi Texas 78401 with a Reservation at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday December 6, 2025. We were promptly seated and our waitress " Mattie" came by to take our order. We were celebrating our 51st Wedding Anniversary. Mattie was absolutely superb! She did everything right. Having trained "Wait"'Staff during my Culinary Years, I know GREAT Service when I see it or experience it! My Wife ordered a glass of white wine and the Grilled Mahi Mahi with Rice Pilaf and Broccoli! The "Mahi" was excellent and well prepared. The Broccoli was "Broccoli" and the rice Pilaf was good, according to my wife! I had the Broiled Redfish expertly done with Broccoli and Rice Pilaf that was, to me, just OK but nothing to brag about! Mattie's table service was outstanding! She was always there when we needed or wanted something! The rest of the staff seemed to be "Hustling" to take care of all Customers! There were plenty of Staff and plenty of tables available! Mattie and Landry's gave us a Complimentary dessert since we were celebrating our 51st! "Primo" Customer Service! The bottom line on Landry's; it's GREAT! Go there ASAP! We Greatly recommend this restaurant! If you have a large group at your table, this is the perfect appetizer to get. It is the fried zucchini and it also has fried peppers that are not spicy or hot. Yummy! Nixon was our waitress. She did a absolute wonderful job taking care of us.

    Seafood gumbo! Very good!

We came to Landry's our first night staying in Corpus Christi. It is literally across the street from our hotel. I had seen it on Yelp and it had good reviews. So we made the trek over. It was well worth the walk. It is so scenic and enjoyable. Walking init's like eating aboard an old ship. With wooden decor and a beautiful view of the harbor and skyline. We were seated pretty quickly and given menus. After a good look over I decided on the seafood gumbo. While waiting for my food I was brought some warm rolls and butter and I also ordered some oysters which were excellent. Now I have never had really good gulf cuisine. So when the gumbo arrived I wasn't sure what I was getting into. The sauce is a brown color and served over rice. At the first bite it almost tasted like dirty water. I'm sure that sounds gross. But I kept an open mind and allowed my taste buds to take in the complex flavors of this dish. It turned out to be one of the best meals I have ever had. So many flavors are going on. It was delicious. The service was great and I highly recommend this place. However another couple we know that is staying in the area came after we had left and mentioned they saw a cockroach crawling up a table and reported it to a server. The server said it happens when the back door is open. So idk about that. I didn't see anything like that. But I would definitely eat here again.

    Blackened sjjn

Today was a sunny day and sea food sounded good. I was greeted by a smiling hostess who found me a window table upstairs. The waitress came shortly, also smiling and very personable. I ordered the salmon, substituted tossed salad for the potato, had an amazing house dressing!! Plus added a skewer of blackened shrimp. What a treat the meal was!! When you can't decide which food to end with, you know it all was wonderful!!

He is usually a pretty good judge of restaurants, so I trusted his recommendation. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a mistake. Our server, A.K.--whom my dad has affectionately called "A.K. 47" for years--was wonderful. She was friendly, attentive, and did an excellent job. If you decide to visit, I would highly recommend asking to sit in her section. I ordered the oyster and shrimp plate, and unfortunately, it was disappointing. The shrimp were acceptable, although I have certainly had better. The oysters, however, were gritty with dirt and did not appear to have been properly cleaned before being fried. Both the shrimp and oysters were coated in a flour-and-cornmeal batter. It was fine, but nothing memorable. The coleslaw had absolutely no flavor, and I'm honestly not sure why they bothered serving it. I wish I had taken a picture of the plate because the presentation was just as unimpressive as the meal. That said, I was not expecting anything fancy, so perhaps I should not have expected much more. The atmosphere was typical for this type of restaurant--casual, basic, and nothing fancy. It appeared clean enough and was generally what you would expect from a place like this. Overall, the excellent service from A.K. was the highlight of the visit, but the food was not good enough for me to return.

We felt like we were being profiled. When we ordered a shot, our bartender questioned us not once, but twice. First, she asked if we were sure that was what we wanted. After we confirmed, she brought up the price and again asked if we were really sure that was the drink we wanted. It came across as if she assumed we couldn't afford it or didn't know what we were ordering. There was no reason to question our order, and it made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. We came to enjoy a nice meal, not to feel judged. It's disappointing because the food was excellent, but customer service is just as important. I hope management addresses this so other guests don't have a similar experience.

Popping in for an early lunch, we had front row seats to the water and items came out really quickly. For drinks, we opted for a mermaid water (in a bucket, of course) and costal cooler and both were delicious starts to the meal! To eat, we had the Cajun fries (toped with crawfish tails, bacon, and cheese), the self titled "clam chowda," and the grilled coconut shrimp. The fries were good, but the crawfish tails were quite dried up and rubbery. Would have rather them not been included all together, as it really took away from the crispy yet fluffy fries that were cooked to perfection. The chowder, which the menu boasts is the best in town, isn't lying! A delicious bit from the first spoonful to the last. The grilled coconut shrimp was the star of the show. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, it is my worst nightmare to get an overcooked shrimp and they nailed it, along with the light sides the dish felt refreshing and just what you want on a humid/hot day. I had seen reviews that mentioned it is pricey, and it certainly is. A lot of places on the island are, but this felt a little too over the top in comparison and for what it was. Something to keep in mind especially if you are feeding a large number of people on your bill.

Our first time here. We came to Doc's after a couple other destinations were closed unannounced…read more Docs was really busy. A shot wait on the deck out front, a chance to chat and we were called in. Being a summer day, the doors were open to the back deck and it creates a breezy, airy environment. Wife ordered the Seafood Lover's plate...a little of each of their fried offerings and I ordered a ribeye plate (prices at market prices)...a little surprise on the market price came with the bill. The service was on point, not too frequent and the food arrived in very reasonable time given the number of diners. My steak was a little on the gristle-y side though cooked perfectly and the flavor was fantastic. The baby potatoes were great. The green beans included were a bit over seasoned with the garilc...some heat I didn't expect. Wife thought her entrées were great. She had some leftovers...not me. So the price is what docks a star. It was a little surprise since the price for my meal wasn't on the menu...I guess I should have asked. I've not paid quite that much at a couple of steakhouses in town. But it WAS a good steak. We're already ready with what we'll order on our next visit.

I think a 2.5 would be an adequate score to describe my experience at Harrison's Landing. While the…read morefood was done well and our waiter was attentive, the atmosphere was anything but welcoming. Upon arrival, the hostess insisted we look at the menu before entry because "our menu is a little strange," or something along those lines. While this was certainly a strange greeting, we still, of course, wanted to eat at the restaurant, as we had already looked at the menu prior to arriving. As if I wasn't already feeling unwelcome enough, the hostess also thought it relevant to mention that we barely got there in time because they would stop taking tables after us, even though they had an entire hour before closing. On top of all this, the hostess made comments about where I decided to sit, saying something along the lines of, "Are you sure you want to sit over there? It looks too sunny." So, after being told that my palate might not be sophisticated enough to indulge in their premium cuisine, and essentially being told that we were an inconvenience for coming in an hour before close, yes, please question the spot that I am choosing to be seated in. Lastly, I also overheard a waitress complain about not being able to leave because a party was still eating (despite there still being 45 minutes before close). Overall, the atmosphere from the staff was unwelcoming and unprofessional. The food is the only thing that may bring me back in the future.

It's open-air and sits right on the dock, so you're literally eating over the water, which makes for a fun experience. At first, I was a little disappointed because I realized they had changed their menu and some of the items I was looking forward to were no longer available. But we decided to stay and give it a chance, and I'm glad we did. I ordered the Build Whatever with blue crab on a bun. The blue crab was fresh, well-seasoned, and really flavorful. I also got an aioli sauce on the side, which paired perfectly with it. My husband ordered the Poke Tuna Wrap, and it was phenomenal. I ended up loving his meal so much that I'll definitely be ordering it myself next time. We also shared the ceviche, which came with tostadas and saltines. It tasted incredibly fresh and was the perfect thing to eat on a hot day. One thing to note is that they don't serve any fried food, but everything we ordered tasted fresh and high quality. Their cocktails were excellent as well. I had a raspberry lemonade cocktail, although I can't remember the name of it. It was delicious and refreshing. Overall, the food, drinks, atmosphere, and waterfront setting made for a really enjoyable experience. We'll definitely be back.

Food orgasm. All around. This was hands down one of the…read morebest meals I've ever had. From beginning to end, everything just worked. We started with the grapefruit, avocado and arugula salad with feta--fresh, bright and absolutely delicious. Then came the smoked snapper dip, followed by the drunken clams with Akaushi sausage. OMG. The clams were served in an incredible white wine, garlic, smoky, savory broth with crusty bread to soak up every last drop. There was absolutely no leaving that broth behind. Then came the branzino. Flame-grilled with fire-roasted red pepper and garnished with Italian chimichurri. Absolutely phenomenal. Beautifully prepared, full of flavor and one of those dishes you continue talking about long after the meal is over. In fact, about halfway through dinner, the table next to us interrupted to ask what we had ordered because everything looked so good--and, apparently, our very obvious food orgasm while eating caught their attention. The service was amazing. (Holden was great) The bartenders and servers were attentive throughout the evening, the drinks were great, and the wine was good. I would love to see the wine list expanded a bit with more options, but that is truly a minor suggestion compared with the overall experience. And then there's the atmosphere. Wonderful. Sitting right on the water overlooking the bay while enjoying an incredible meal made the entire experience even better. This is what dining out should be: incredible food, thoughtful flavors, attentive service, great drinks and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. I will be dreaming about this meal--and probably drooling while doing so. Truly, one of the best meals I've ever had. Five stars doesn't feel like enough. We will absolutely be back.

Now for the food review: 1. The oysters were amazing. 2. The Yellow Curry Shrimp with the plantains was our favorite dish. 3. The short ribs were a let down. The meat was really soft but it was so dry. We couldn't even finish it. (We wished we would have just both ordered th yellow curry shrimp) 4. The truffle fries were good but get the 1/2 order if your 2 because the serving size is a lot. 5. Banana Bread Pudding was the best thing. We kind of wish the serving size of the ice cream was a little more because the bread pudding was a large serving. It was the star of the show. We would be back just for this bread pudding so please don't ever take it off the menu.
