Food was great and service was spotty. Seemed like waitress had too many tables to work.

When we arrived to The Boardwalk in Myrtle, it started to rain so our family decided to grab some lunch at Landry's. We were immediately greeted and seated - no waiting - which was great. It was around 1pm or so, and the place wasn't crowded. Our server Shiner came over and took our drink order. We just wanted something light. My husband and I shared the seafood platter which was a lot for the 2 of us and it was delicious. Our son has food allergies so he just ordered plain pasta, fries, and the calamari. He enjoyed his meal. The only fdbk was that his calamari had too many peppers mixed in, and he doesn't eat those. My husband and I also ordered the basil lemonade with Hendrix. It was refreshing. We laughed because Shiner brought us 1 drink to share. We will share a dish, but the beverage is a hard no. He immediately got my husband his beverage (Ladies first - so I enjoyed the original). I never usually do this as I am also in the food industry servicing people for 26 years. We have been members dining club with Landry's for years (we typically do not eat chain restaurants or corporate owned)but we loved this one for its consistency. This was a guaranteed worth the travel place,always. After Covid it was terrible....BUT....being in the industry I said they are probably shortstaffed,struggling like the rest of us. Well. We decided to give Landry's a try again since we ate here for 13 + solid years. We booked our reservation through red table app ... We were seated and .... And.... And No one acknowledged us. I walked to the front door as he had parked 1,000,000 miles away to wait for him to show him where we were seated. He finally joined us. I had to use the restroom. Then we all joined back together. We waited for about five more minutes after all of that but there was someone at the table at all times. You can imagine with all of that this took about 10 + minutes and not one person acknowledged us sitting at the table. No "has anybody been with you yet?" They used to serve a family style salad bowl before the meal came was such a delicious hold over. Now a person has to pay $5.25 for just side salad to add for a $50+ steak that only comes with a side of instant potatoes is lazy and sad(we had plenty of time to table watch). So essentially, I would have been paying $80 bucks per person at our table with a cocktail or 2 with instant mashed potatoes and a slice of beef. No lettuce unless you pay extra for it. Most restaurants have accompaniments with two sides for less than that.Oh and let's not forget you would be paying for all of this only if someone would greet your table! It seems like this is definitely the departure and it breaks my heart because it was such a great restaurant. They are charging a bit much with so little care and we should've taken the red flag as that restaurant was booming years ago and even at the hour that we chose it never mattered.Before,they were completely packed until they closed the door and now at 8 o'clock they were very empty. Last dining hall empty(thought maybe closed off for concentrated closing duty.But NO ONE at the bar.NO ONE at entrance surrounding bar booths. We went here on Sunday night. The restaurant was fairly empty. The service was ok. I ordered the swordfish my wife ordered the salmon. The waiter forgot to ask what temp we prefer. My Swordfish was overcooked, as well as the shrimp that came with it. My wife enjoyed the Salmon, but she likes it well. At these prices I expected better. read more

We decided to come to Landry's one last time since they are closing this location soon. I think it's a wonderful restaurant for lunch or dinner. The dining area is always well maintained and depending upon where you're seated, you can get a nice view of the lake. Our server Iuliana, was fabulous. She was quite attentive and she spent some time talking with us. My wife and I both had the Coastal Seafood Pasta. Everything was cooked beautifully including the scallops which were nice and tender. The pasta was a perfect al dente. Unfortunately, a Bubba Gump Shrimp restaurant is moving to this location. Definitely, going to miss Landry's. read more

I stopped by Landry's Seafood House for dinner, and overall, it was a an ok spot near broadway on the beach. We started with the calamari appetizer, which was okay but honestly a bit disappointing. It came out rubbery, like it had been overcooked, though it wasn't so bad that we couldn't finish it. Dipped in the sauce, it was edible, but I've had way better at other places. For the main, I went with the burger (yeah, I know, seafood house, but sometimes you just crave one), and man, it was juicy, flavorful, with all the fixings done right. Totally hit the spot. My gf got the seafood platter and she said it was pretty good but definitely had better at other locations. Everything tasted fresh and the service was friendly, no complaints there. But the prices? Oof, they stung a little. For what we got, it felt a tad overpriced, especially the appetizers. read more

Landry's at Broadway at the Beach. I gave it 2 stars because my server was exceptionally nice. Other than that, the food is NOT GOOD. Very expensive as you would expect in a tourist place like Broadway at the Beach. I ordered a fried seafood platter which came with greasy mess of onion strings guess they left out the onions. Also a big pile of fries, some kind of fried fish not much fish lots of breading and stretchy skin, Yucky! There was also tasteless shrimp butterflied to make them look bigger and stuffed shrimp. Stuffed with a mushy ball of maybe like a deviled crab mix. Just a guess but also not good. All of this was over $50 and most of it went into the trash. I do NOT recommend this restaurant. read more

The first time we walked around Broadway at the Beach, we noticed Landry's Seafood House and their incredible Chef's Table Special: three courses (starter, entrée, and dessert) for just $39. Naturally, when we came back to the area, we had to give it a try. With so many food options around, it's easy to fill up fast, so we decided to split the special -- and honestly, it was one of the best dining decisions of the trip. For the starter, we went with the Seafood Gumbo. It could've been a little bigger, and the rice made it lean slightly toward a jambalaya vibe rather than a traditional gumbo, but the flavor was spot on -- hot, hearty, and delicious. It had that slow-simmered, layered taste that only comes from seafood broth done right. The main course was the Crab Stuffed Mahi Mahi -- topped with seafood stuffing, drizzled with lemon butter, and served with our chosen sides: Asparagus and Wild Rice Risotto. The risotto deserves its own spotlight -- it was absolutely divine. Creamy, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor. The asparagus, while a touch plain, was still fresh and cooked just right. Together, everything came out piping hot and beautifully plated. For dessert, we had the Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée, and talk about the perfect finish. Silky smooth custard with that crisp caramelized top that cracks perfectly with each spoonful -- light, creamy, and satisfying without being too sweet. To top it all off, I treated myself to a Prickly Pear cocktail -- made with Calirosa Rosa Blanco Tequila, prickly pear purée, lime, ruby red grapefruit juice, and Fever-Tree sparkling pink grapefruit -- a refreshing balance of tart and tropical. Service was friendly and attentive from start to finish. Our total came to $39 for the special + $14 for the drink = $53, and with a 15% tip, we paid roughly $61. An absolute steal for the quality and experience we had. Bonus tip: they also offer a "Let's Do Lunch" special -- a two-course meal for only $17, where you can mix and match options like Fried Zucchini or Landry's House Salad with entrées such as Buttermilk Fried Shrimp, Fried Fish + Shrimp, or Seared Salmon. That's an incredible value for the area and makes me want to come back during the week just to try it. In short, Landry's Seafood House exceeded expectations. Great service, flavorful dishes, and a relaxed atmosphere right in the heart of Broadway at the Beach -- one of those places I'd absolutely visit again. read more

I had a $100 Landry's gift card that I earned from completing online surveys, so while my wife and I were in Myrtle Beach, we decided to stop into Landry's for happy hour and sit at the bar, as we usually do. The bartender greeted us right away and took our drink orders -- my wife had a Margarita, and I had an Old Fashioned. We both ordered the Chef's Table 3-Course Menu ($39). For starters, we each chose the Wedge Salad. For our entrées: My wife ordered the Tilapia Bianca -- scallops, shrimp, spinach, tomatoes, rice pilaf, and lemon butter sauce. She really enjoyed her meal and said everything was very good. I upgraded to the 6 oz Filet Mignon for an additional $5. It came char-grilled with maître d' butter and mashed potatoes. The steak was supposed to be medium-rare but arrived closer to medium-well. I showed the bartender, but I told him I didn't need it replaced -- it was still tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes, however, weren't great, and next time I'd choose a different side. For dessert, my wife had the Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée, and I had the Key Lime Pie. Both were very good and a nice way to finish the meal. Overall, the food was good, and the bartender provided solid service throughout. A pleasant experience, and the gift card made it even better. read more

Wonderful server. However, 2/3 of the way through a Shirley Temple, my daughter noticed ants IN her glass. At least 5, very small. Waitress was appalled, said she'd send the mgr. Said mgr shows up and asks how our evening is going. Our jaws go slack. He plays completely dumb. We explain the drink issue. He asks how he can make it right. Says it's a known issue that "they'll fix tonight." That Jerk who was playing dumb - despite an apparently known issue - took that one drink off the bill. Nothing more. We went during lunch, the restaurant was not too busy. We found out that they will be remodeling Sept. 2026 thru February 2027 and reopen as a Bubba Gumps. I ordered the sea food mix grill with grilled shrimp, salmon and a crab cake. My wife ordered the tilapia with crab on top. We both had rice, broccoli and garlic bread. Great service and better food. Timothy welcomed us after we were seated. This was our last night in Myrtle Beach so we decided to make our yearly visit. My wife and I both ordered a beer while looking at the menu. I ordered the mixed grill with a crab cake, grilled salmon and grilled shrimp with rice and green beans. My wife had the bourbon salmon with green beans. E made reservations using open table, which was a good idea, since the restaurant filled up pretty quickly on a Friday night. When it gets crowded it also gets a little noisy. There is a separate bar area and lots of tables in the dining area. We plan to come back when we are back in the area. read more

We had a gift card here so made a special trip to Broadway to visit this establishment. There are SO MANY restaurants in this area that you know they have to be good to stay in business for long. I did not know before going that this was Creole food but I was so excited when I discovered that. We had been walking around shopping for quite some time and decided to go to an early dinner (4pm) except I guess it was technically a late lunch since they gave us a lunch menu :) The interior was very clean and it was not very busy (probably the time of day and the fact that we went in early May.) Our server was Landon and he knew what he was doing. He was polite and knew the menu. He made conversation and knew how to correctly time the courses so we were finish with one before he brought out the next. The cocktail selection was impressive but I ended up getting a mocktail and it was quite delicious...Strawberry Basil Lemonade...yum! We got the Fire Grilled Oysters as a appetizer and they were DELICOUS! Highly recommend! My aunt got the chicken and mushrooms and the portion was ginormous (she was able to make another meal out of it!) I got the Oyster Bar Trash (odd that it did not include oysters) and it was extremely tasty but definitely looked like a lunch portion. My uncle got the lunch box with the house salad and seared salmon...that portion size was just right. I was confused about the portion sizes as they were all so different but I have to assume that it had to do with the price point of the ingredients. FYI, if you have a gift card, the MANAGER has to run it, not the server. This was not a problem we just had to wait a tab bit longer. Okay, so we had a gift card for $125 dollars. We spent every penny of it, but WOULD NOT RETURN because this food was horrible. Mocktails: Joel's was okay, mine was flat & needed more flavor (I had to ask for grenadine to sweeten it). Clam chowder: Joel said it was pretty good. It was the only dish/ that we finished. The seafood platter: didn't taste fresh. The garlic bread: was so hard- when the waiter came back to the table- I just picked up the garlic bread and hit it on the plate so that he could see how hard it was, I didn't have to say a word! He took it back. The asparagus: was thin, flimsy & overcooked. I didn't even bother trying it. The beet & Walnut salad: nothing spectacular. The seafood pasta: had a thin, flavorless, runny sauce, and the shrimp was completely overcooked. Cheesecake: meh. Creme brulee: Costco's is better. Sad, right? We literally didn't finish ANYTHING (except Joel's cup of clam chowder). We felt bad, but the couple next to us called the manager out because they refused to pay for any of three food they tasted because theirs was just as bad. Today we had Mother's Day dinner at Landry's and was served by Kaysee. She was nothing short of amazing! We chatted for a bit and even found out we share a similar hobby. She was able to answer every question we had about the menu, was incredibly sweet, and made our first experience there so enjoyable. My husband and I took a day trip to Myrtle Beach and found ourselves ready for lunch. Driving down the highway on the way to another restaurant, I saw a billboard advertisement for Landry's Seafood House and decided to change my plans. This turned out to be a really good decision! We were greeted and seated promptly. Our waitress was very pleasant and very attentive to my husband's shrimp allergy. The manager even introduced himself to make sure that what my husband ate would be safe! The food was fresh and arrived quickly. I ordered the seafood platter (catfish, shrimp, fries, onion straws) and my husband the Landry burger. The flavor was great and the portion sizes very satisfactory. Complimentary bread came out as well hot and fresh. I honestly couldn't stop eating it! Finally, I finished with a slice of Key Lime Pie to go which turned out to be great later that day. We are Landry's members so when there is a site near where we are traveling, we attempt to try that restaurant. We were not disappointed. The ambiance, food and service were very good. Since it was a little chilly for us, we asked to sit outside although no one else was sitting outside. They accommodated us immediately with no fuss. Once we were seated, we had several staff members at our table who were in training with one gentleman. After our initial drinks order, one young lady was our server for the rest of the meal. We never felt forgotten outside the entire time we were there. The food was not disappointing and it was cooked to the temperature I like for steak. We were too full for dessert, so we skipped that part of the meal. If we are ever back in this area we would go back to Landry's Seafood House. read more

The service on the bar side was not good. As soon as we sat down the one waiter told us it would be a good 5mins before he could get to us which was ok. Then 15mins in he kept walking past us ignoring us. Then 20mins later the other lady behind the bar took our drink and appetizer order. After we got them she never came back to get our dinner order. We finally tracked someone down to get that ordered. Then we didn't get our food for the longest time and the ironic thing is it wasn't that busy. Also two other ladies that sat right at the bar had to get the manager to get service. We then had to the get manager and told him about our experience. He said sorry and to ask for Lewis or Louis the next time we came in to get exceptional service but offered nothing else, nothing off the bill or dessert at the time. It was just an awful experience. And the sad thing is we had been coming there for 0ver 15yrs while on vacation. read more
