My subdivision has used this company for our snow maintenance and after the first snow of 2022, they're terrible. Their plowing, shoveling & salting is subpar at best. Its too dangerous to walk out of my garage, much less walk my dog 3 times a day. Not only have I slipped & almost fell, my dog also slipped and almost hurt himself as well. A neighbor who is very pregnant, slipped and fell on the ice. After & complaining over the course of over a week AND after another ice storm, they finally came out to salt the sidewalks and roads again. TERRIBLE. read more

These guys handle the apartment complex where I live. I've been here almost 5 years. And in the last 6 months or so they have really let this property go, with the new management change. They zoom by at 30 mph on those huge lawnmowers with dull blades set pretty high. They leave behind clover flowers, dandelion flowers, and torn (not cut) grass. There are a great number of dandelions, and large spreads of clover as a result. There are also huge patches where the lawn isn't even cut, but they go so fast that they don't notice. Last month, they trimmed the evergreen bush in my front lawn, and instead of picking up the prickly debris, they spread it and ran the lawnmower over them back and forth, rendering my lawn unusable for dogs or kids. If you walked on it barefoot, you couldn't go a foot before those things started pricking your feet. I asked one of the guys to rake that, and he said he contact the supervisor, and I never heard anything from him or the supervisor. And the prickly stuff was left there until it rotted and blended in with the grass. Bad service quality, bad customer service. read more

I have worked LCM video since August of 2019 and have been really impressed by their landscape capabilities. They are a one stop company for all landscape needs from grass mowing, tree trimming, flower planting, and yes even large scale snow plowing. What impressed me the most is their facility in Wisconsin, where they store all sorts of machinery and where they have several greenhouses and tree nurseries. They are equipped and staffed to handle any landscape job from small residential to large corporate malls. read more

Absolutely terrible service. If you are looking to start a contract with these people, don't. They got grown men doing the work equivalent of a 15 year old. Grass trimmings everywhere and THEY DESTROY PLANTS AND DONT REPLACE THEM. We complained about the company and 20min later a guy roles through as fast as he can on a lawnmower and almost hit my dog and destroyed my plants. Tried to chase him down and he just kept going. The "supervisor" is a joke. The old man came to the door after the complaint with NO MASK during the corna virus and got in a full fledged argument with my dying mother saying she was wrong. He would not get off our porch until we called the police. What a joke of a supervisor and what terrible business practice. I'm going to make it my mission that they lose their contract with our community. The guy on the lawnmower and 0 care that he could I hit somebody. On top of everything they miss spots all the time and do most of their lawn care with weed eaters. Ridiculous. They don't even trim, waste of money. Terrible service. Supervisor deserves to be jailed I want a full refund for this months services for the plants they destroyed. These people don't understand that the plants cost more than the terrible labor they do. Ridiculous. Blowing grass trimmings in peoples garages and what not . Awful business. You will hear from me again! No idea which branch was it. When they were working for the city of Schaumburg, we asked them for a huge tree trimming. They gave us a really good est of $485. 2 days later I called the number they gave us and would like to talk to Travis to setup a schedule. Left a message, no one returned. Called next day and left a message again still no response. 2 days later called twice more but still no luck. 3 weeks ago then I had to contact other tree services. One est $1500-$1800. The other one est $650. read more

I live in a subdivision that pays for this company to do snow removal. With last night's snow fall, they came out around 6am and are still here 12+ hours later. Two guys started out plowing driveways at one end of my subdivision, then went to the opposite end, and did the middle. With doing all the back and forth, they did not work efficiently in order of the driveways and barely cleared any off. I asked one guy to do my driveway. Almost 3-4 hours later it never got done so I shoveled half of my driveway in order to have a lane to exit. If anyone had a medical emergency, then we would have been screwed. Thank god I don't work weekends because I would've never shoveled my driveway in time to go to work. It took me two hours to shovel half of my driveway when a plow could have done it in 5-10 minutes. I do not recommend this company!! read more

Landscape Concepts now's our lawns in my community and they are horrible!!! They speed through each yard so fast they do not even see the terrible job they do. They miss entire rows of grass, cut way too high that the lawn is up to your ankles right after they mow. Consequently by the next cutting it's impossible to walk on the lawns without tripping not to mention the dead grass clumps they leave behind or the damage they do to our plants and trees. They have sheared the covers off the overflow drains in the yards and leave them just laying there. We live in a retirement community and this is a real hardship. Unfortunately we have no control over who is hired for this service. If we did they would be fired on the spot!! Definitely not worth any $$$ they are paid. We have repeatedly complained to our community management to no avail so they must be getting an extreme discount since the service is so very poor!!! I would not even have given them one star if I could have avoided it!!! read more

Used this company when I was on the the board of my condo association. We requested a quote a number of times from one of their salesmen Jessie and he just blew us off-it took forever! He was such a snot...full of himself. Finally got a quote, I was the only person who recommended another company that a friend's condo association was using, But our property manager recommended landscape concepts because she worked with them at another property and we gave them the contract. Absolute terrible work maintaining our condo building. Glenn, Jessie's boss, took care of the problems but he isn't at our site anymore and the problems started again, they trimmed our hedges too low again! Just went to the cooperator, a convention for the condo associations in Chicago, with our board president and we found plenty of other landscapers to use. Will never use Landscape Concepts again! read more

I would NOT recommend ANYONE use a company as dishonest as they are! I was waiting in my vehicle to turn at a red light in Crystal Lake and they were mowing the little field next to this intersection. Then out of nowhere I heard a loud BANG! And there's glass all over my backseat! I immediately pulled over, turned my hazards on, and contacted the police to make a report. Apparently something got lodged under the mower blades and shot out at my vehicle causing the damage and scaring the crap out if me! The guy on the mower called his boss... And I spoke with the manager and they were very apologetic and asked me to send them pictures of the damage and then after seeing the pictures they agreed to pay for the damages. They scheduled an apt for 2 days later to get my window replaced. The appointment window was from 12-5.... So I took a half day at work to wait. And then inside of that appointment window they called me and said, "we sent the pictures over to our body shop, and they said there's no way POSSIBLE that out mower could have caused the damage to your vehicle". Really?! Are you kidding me?! After already agreeing to fix it after seeing the damage and me also making a police report you're going to try and back out now? At the last minute?! That was completely dishonest and unprofessional! I had to get it taken care of through my insurance... Filed under comprehensive damage. So it's in their hands now! And I hope my insurance goes after the money THEY OWE! If not, karma will eventually play its roll. Beware of shady dishonest companies such as this one. read more

Just plain lazy,effortless,useless & plain dont give a poop. If anyone wants a video of them on a job. No problem just so you know our property is big. But the video will be very short cause unless the lawnmower carries them. They wont move or bend over to pick any thing up. read more

ZERO!.....this company horrible. communication a huge problem but guys seem nice enough. not only do they not pick up any trash but they leave their own lunch break trash on lawns throughout developement. our association uses this company and its completely lacking any appeal after 2 years!. flowers die....mow over trash instead of picking up. i even saw guy on riding mower smoking a cig. wth? they dont care and it shows. find that they are way over priced on retaining walls. if have a say in which landscaper do not bother with this company...total regrets. read more

Worst landscapers I've ever had to deal with. I'm a service manager for an apartment complex and I have never been more disappointed in customer service. Try to call my rep multiple times a day never answers until my higher ups finally call then he responds with the worst excuses ever. This company is responsible for cutting my property in a townhouse association. They have consistently left ruts, divots, holes and other damage to my lawn and those around me. Today I came home to a rut that was 10 feet long and a zero turn mark that even shows they hit the cable/electrical boxes outside my house along with large chunks pulled out of the group from driving the air rater too fast. Put it this way if I could share the photos of the damage here I would. I personally would never select this company if I had a chance because the damage is so consistent and constant it shows a major lack of either understanding lawn care or a lack of care by their employees on site. I have friends who do this for a living and they have no words but to say this should never happen to a yard. read more
