When I caught the billing discrepancy on the itemized receipt, they did correct it, but they added on the tire certificates which were not on my invoice before. The overall experience was incredibly deceptive. The front-counter staff exhibited completely unprofessional behavior. While I was in the store deciding over the phone with a parent about what tire to get, they were whispering and laughing excessively right in front of me. The disrespect continued even when I called this location; right after he corrected my invoice, he was caught laughing out loud because he thought he had hung up the phone on me.

After 2000 miles one tire suffered side wall damaged. At first they refused to replace the tire. If I had not argued, I would have been out another $380 to these crooks. I asked the Service Manager to call his manager, but his manager was on vacation with no backup. The Service Manager then told me I should call Mavis Corp Customer Service. I said he should do that and we could discuss with them together. He refused to call Mavis Customer Service and said I had to make the call!! He then refused to let me use the shop phone. So I called Mavis Customer Service and watched as the Mavis Customer Service Rep called the Service Manager back on the phone two feet in front of me I was not aloud to make the call on. The Mavis Customer Service Rep explained the warranty to the Service Manager and they ended up replacing the tire, then proceeded to charge me to mount and balance the new tire. The absolute worst shop I have ever delt with. The interpersonal skills, product knowledge and conflict resolution are abysmal. I have the paperwork to back all this up.

There is a small TV and some magazines, but I did not need them. The refreshments could have been better, but at least the chairs were comfortable. My wife was getting ready to go on a road trip and the engine light came on. I wanted to get it checked out before she left. I quickly looked up service options and this was the one that opened the earliest and when I called they said they would work me in. I got there shortly after opening and true to their word they got me in, in minutes, even though they were already knee deep in customers. They diagnosed the issue... a throttle actuator.. which once they dug into it they said they need to replace the throttle body at a cost of 1200! Fortunately while I was waiting I did a lot of Google research on the issue. What I found out was that most mechanics just want to replace the throttle body, with this issue, instead of first just trying to clean it and resetting it. It does take a mechanic to do this.. it has to be removed, cleaned, and then recalibrated and synced to the car. Not something that I can do... heck I can barely change a tire. I asked if they could try cleaning it... they figured out how to charge me for that... and two hours later and 800 less in cost my car was working and my wife could go on her road trip. They did good work, got me in when they were completely booked up, and did the right thing when asked to. Would have been nice if they had offered the right solution in the first place... but in the end it all worked ok.

I spent thousands of dollars at this shop trying to fix an ongoing problem with my car. I authorized repairs and services based on what I was told was wrong and on the understanding that certain testing had been performed. Despite spending thousands, the original problem was never fixed. What became even more concerning was when I later asked for the actual reports and results from the testing I was told had been performed. I was unable to get the documentation I expected, and I was told that some of the recommendations had been based on ChatGPT suggestions. This left me seriously questioning the basis for the work I had paid for. After having to bring my vehicle back three times, I learned that the shop had been relying on a report created by the original manager who diagnosed my car. I was later told that this manager had been fired. However, when I asked for documentation and proof of the testing, the story changed, and I was told that he had not been fired. Every conversation I had with the shop was recorded, so I have documentation of what I was told and when I was told it. After all of this, I called and asked to speak with management and the owner about some type of compensation. I was told by the manager that the owner wasn't around during the day, had a "different type of lifestyle," and that I wouldn't be able to get an answer until Monday morning. I was told I would receive a call back. That call never came. I had to call multiple times myself, only to eventually be told there was nothing they could do. At this point, I expected both the owner and manager to take responsibility for what happened, review the documentation, and make a genuine effort to address the situation. Instead, I felt that neither took meaningful ownership. I was left to pursue answers myself, despite the fact that I had spent thousands of dollars and had repeatedly brought my vehicle back for the same unresolved problem. I finally took my vehicle to Honda, where they addressed the actual problem. Since Honda completed the repair, I have not had the issue again. I was also told there that many of the things I had paid Extra Mile to do were services that a vehicle generally would not need. My biggest issue isn't simply that they didn't diagnose the problem correctly the first time. Cars can be complicated, and mistakes happen. My issue is that I spent thousands of dollars based on their diagnoses and recommendations, had to bring my vehicle back three times, and the original problem remained. When I questioned the testing, requested documentation, and asked management and ownership to take responsibility and make the situation right, I felt completely dismissed. Had I received honest communication, documentation supporting the testing and recommendations, and a genuine effort from the owner and manager to take ownership of what happened, I might feel differently. Instead, I paid thousands of dollars, still had a broken vehicle, had to take it somewhere else to actually get it fixed, and received no meaningful resolution from Extra Mile. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this shop. I strongly encourage anyone considering having major work done here to ask for diagnostic reports and test results in writing, confirm who performed the diagnosis, get a second opinion, and understand exactly why each recommended service is necessary before authorizing it.
