The minute you walk in they try to upsell you on everything. I went in for a tire warranty swap for buying good ol Mavis Kumhos(that only last a year) and had to listen to them tell me it was my fault because I had bad struts and shocks(which I had my mechanic and dealer check and there's no issues). BUT luckily the good folks at Mavis were ready to sell me brand new shocks and struts for 2k BEFORE they can warranty my tires out. They want to make sure my suspension was good before they honor the warranty. Such nice folks huh. Get this, they even offered to warranty the tires out at the SAME price I paid for them initially which was only a year before and only 23k miles later on the tire. So I get the pleasure of paying 1600 within 2 years for the same crappy tire. lol. Take my advice, stay away. They try to upsell and overcharge everything. They don't honor warranties and there's not help from corporate customer solutions so ignore those repetitive replies from them as well. read more

Why I give great marks for willing to help and friendliness, I came away somewhat confused. After today, I am a little disappointed in what I thought was a good experience. I realized yesterday morning (Sunday, June 30th) that I ran over a nail or screw. It was embedded in my tread. My tires are very new and being that Mavis was the only tire store open (as it was Sunday), I went to them for help. I called the store (actually my call went to a center) and they informed me that the Milton store was not very busy given it was a holiday weekend. I went up to the store and was greeted right away. I explained who I was and why I was there. They took the car back very quickly. Next thing I know the tech has the hood up and begins inspecting my vehicle....I did not ask for that service...In any event, he finally gets to the tire and right away, the tech calls for the manager, who in turn calls for me. They inform me that the nail/screw is too close to the sidewall and that I will need a new tire. I then ask if they can just "plug" the tire, to which the manager says that they don't do that, and that their patch will not work as it needs a flat surface. Back to the front we go. The manager is looking in the computer for a new tire. Fortunately for my wallet, there was not one available. The manager goes back to the tech and they finally decide to create their own patch by leaving the nail/screw in place, and using some sort of rubber goop on the inside. Needless to say, we went from "your tire is not fixable and that you need a new tire", to "we fixed your tire", I was a little concerned. Monday AM, I noticed that the air was a little low in that tire, so I decided to get a second opinion. When the tech from the new tire store saw what my tire looked like (inside and outside), he laughed and asked, " what did they do?" Needless to say, he and his team were able to remove the nail and patch the tire correctly. The good news is that Mavis kept me drivable for another day ($19.99). Bad news, I spent $19.99 that should be refunded to me as the fix was totally inappropriate. read more

Dishonest and crooked! Avoid this specific store at ALL COST! The manager, Rafael, cannot be trusted. I went in specifically asking for four tires and rear brakes. The Goodyear Assurance tires, which have a 65,000 mile warranty, were down to the tread wear indicators in 24,000 miles! I was told that Goodyear has a very strict warranty policy (which is in their website), and would require detailed information about alignment, rotations, etc. All of which I possess. This manager said he'd be texting me THAT afternoon with the details and cost. NOTHING! Three days later I got an estimate for $2600 worth of work my vehicle didn't need. Rafael's excuse was "if you do THIS work, I'll throw in the tires! WHAT? You completely ignore the work I want done and if I spend twice the expected cost for unnecessary work, you'll throw in four tires? What kind of credible business operates this way? Needless to say, I didn't fall for his trick nor will I do business with this store in the future. If this is the way you want to be treated, this crook is for you! Absolutely do not come here. I brought my 2019 GTI in for two new tires, $600 to install. They did a good job except for the fact that the ripped in my car, smashed up my rim, leaving a crater in it, and a blown out sidewall missing rubber with a hole about 6 inches wide. And they allowed that to get past inspection! I had to drive all the way down there pay, then be met with that. Absolutely terrible business. I will say that they did claim responsibility for the issue, with no pushback at all. read more

I was debating to write a review but someone could find this helpful. ( Warning long review)The Mavis location in Milton across from the Super Target is lack luster as well as cut corners, let me explain. I received service and got a full u-haul on brake service which I paid a premium price for ( calipers, pads, rotors etc) so my expectations were HIGH. When they were done with the brakes I noticed that I needed two new tires which they stated they would get me a quote the following day. A few days past and I did not received a call so I wanted to upgrade my suspension and I had a suspension shop add two new tires to the order since I did not ever get a quote from Mavis. Upon getting an upgrade on my trucks suspension this other shop mentioned that the front inner brake pads look to be recently replaced and are new but the front outer brake pads are just about slap worn out. I proceeded to take my vehicle back to Mavis and mentioned what the other shop noticed. My tech JR stated that there was nothing wrong with the truck and that other shops tend to be unfaithful. I requested that he put my truck on the Jack just to double check in which he stated that he can view it from ground level and find nothing wrong with the pads. I took his word for it. I few days later I was towing a heavy load and later heard my brake grinding. I refused to take it back to this shop as they illustrated the lack luster effort of simply looked at the previous mistakes that they made. I took my truck to another Mavis location which was down the street in Milton,Ga. They were surprised themselves and took care of me right away. I was highly disappointed in the overall effort. A simple fix could have caused far more damage to my truck as well as my safety. This location is not trustworthy.I am so glad I did not get my tires installed there, who knows what would have happen. If you are in the Milton location DO NOT go to this location! read more

I would not do business here again! Extremely disappointed. My son dropped his car off for new brakes & rotors. He had mentioned to me he also needed new windshield wipers. I called and asked them to replace his wiper blades while the car was there. I drove him to pick up his car. I dropped him off. He paid the bill $750!! He went to get into his car and found his windshield with a LARGE crack in it.. We did not drop the car off with a cracked windshield !!! They initially denied it. I drove back up there. They finally admitted to it . The Mechanic did it during repair. They said someone from Corp would be in touch to arrange repair. We have yet to hear from anyone. This organization lacks integrity. I would think twice in today's climate to intrust car repairs / on road safety in an organization that is not transparent / honest. read more

After a brake pad change from another source I began to experience intermittent thumping in my right rear wheel. Mavis analyzed the problem and determined the pads and discs were fine. The problem seemed to be a loose wheel lug in the right rear locking lug. The staff carefully set all lugs to the proper torque and the problem was solved. The guy tells me & husband I need all new tires and alignment (I just wanted one tire to get me home, but we went with his recommendation as he made it sound so dire.) Was quoted a 45 minute wait for new tires and alignment. Instead waited for TWO HOURS OUTSIDE IN THE COLD - we had our dog with us when we got the flat, and weren't allowed to bring him inside, so we had to wait outside - before demanding my car back. 2 HOURS WAITING OUTSIDE IN 40 DEGREE WEATHER AND THEY STILL HADN'T COMPLETED THE ALIGNMENT. 2 hours to put on 4 tires when they knew we/my dog were freezing outside. 2 hours and still no alignment. 2 hours with my husband sitting on the bench outside, right beside the garage doors, where he could both see and hear the mechanics goofing off etc instead of working on the vehicles! Unbelievable. Oh, and I wasn't the only one there with this issue. I saw at least 2 customers complain while I was there! Ugh. NEVER AGAIN. read more

If you like going in with simple brake pads service, leaving with a check engine light and one broken tire, and waiting forever in between, then this is the place for you! If you are wondering how can brakes cause check engine light to be on, I'm wondering the same thing. They told me the battery needed to be replaced, and like an idiot I agreed. Even-though two weeks ago during regular service the battery was tested a-okay. They must have knocked something loose when they were replacing the battery. I now need to go back again tomorrow to have the check engine light looked at, because all the mechanics have left for the day. What a joke of a business. read more

0 stars, I went to this location expecting to get my brakes fixed. My car has 60,000 miles. From the moment that I stepped out of the car, the female's (name unknown) had a terrible disposition. She was rude but she got the mechanic to check my brakes. She came back and gave an estimate of $750 - $800. To replace everything front and rear. When I requested an explanation, she advised that the rotors could be warped and they don't put new brakes with old rotors. I took her phone number and went to 2 other locations for estimates. Both places stated that there was nothing wrong with my rotors. Needless to say, I got my brakes done elsewhere and saved $400. I will never go back here, the absolute worst customer experience as well. read more

Been going here for years with multiple cars and have always offered praise and advised others to use them. Last two visits were really bad experiences. First was a visit when front desk was manned by an employee who was coughing a lot and who looked sick. On inquiry I discovered he had the flu. So this location was probably a nexus in the GA flu outbreak. Why come to work and expose all your customers to this? Second visit was an appointment that was simply not honored. Why agree to accept an appointment and then tell me when I show up on time (a simple 30 min job) that I will have to wait 2 to 3 hours or leave the car? I advised in advance that I was going to have to wait for it to get done and I sure wasn't going to incur the expense and the inconvenience of having to Uber back and forth from my home to accommodate a drop off. After years of doing business here I am done. Already changed to a new location. read more

Took our 2011 BMW X3 to get a quote for brake pads. Not only did they come in excessively high compared to other quotes we got, but they flat out lied about how much pad (measured in mm) we had left. They told us 2mm on front and 1mm on rear. They wanted over $1200. The measurements from our other quotes were 4mm on front and 2mm on back. So basically they either don't know how to properly measure or they cut the numbers in half. We chose wisely and paid $400 for rear only. read more

Over a year ago I bought the NTB 3 year alignment plan. I had to go back twice after my 1st visit this year because they couldn't get an alignment done right the 1st time!! The 1st time I was there I waited over 3 hours to be told that they would have to order parts to do the alignment properly. After my second visit, the steering wheel pulled to the left, so I had to go back a 3rd time for them to try to get it right. Mind you, each time I take the care in I am waiting over 2 hours. The manager also added that they were understaffed because they have an issue getting employees to travel to "such an affluent neighborhood!"! WTF!! It sounds like NTB has issues not only with competent technicians, but also HR problems. Therefore, the entire organization could very well be strewn with problems where they simply do not know what they are doing. I cannot recommend NTB to anyone. I bought there $180 3-year alignment plan, but after a total of 4 visits in the 1 year+ I have had the plan I have had to wait over 8 hours FOR TWO ALIGNMENT JOBS. Don't go here! The technicians are incompetent, the company cannot staff facilities properly, and they will waste your time while they try to figure out how to do their jobs. They should pay YOU to go there!!! read more

I've had 2 experiences at the Milton location. Both were poor, but the work was performed OK. The first visit I did tire service; alignment, rotation, balance. Took almost 4 hours. In the end, they said they were having problems with the alignment system. Sometimes I think they tell customers something different to save face. Would have been appropriate to tell me so I, at least, new what the delay was. The second experience, today, I made an appointment in their online system. It asked what kind of work I wanted as part of the appointment. I get there and find out there's no mechanic there. Only oil change and tire techs. I never raised my voice and asked how they could accept appointments without a mechanic on site. He said they have no way of knowing what kind of work the appointment needs, yet I entered the brake service information in the appointment content as requested. The manage was working the front desk, and while he was insincerely pleasant, he offered to watch as the job was being done by someone else. I quickly declined and he proceeded to tell me he would do it himself. My thinking was, if they're short handed and have no ASE Certified mechanic (except for himself), how could he do the work and I just could not accept that it would be done to correctly. The big turn off was the manager's communication. It was less than sincere and in my opinion, full of false promises. He seemed less than phased by my disappointment and had an "oh well" attitude. There's a hundred places to get car service. So, both experiences combined, I do not recommend this location! No mechanic on site is like McDonald's running out of fries! read more

I called this morning at 9:14 am and asked for a oil change and tire rotation. They offered to get me in right away, I said I can't be there till 3pm. He said that was not a problem and took my last name. I get there at 3pm and the lady says she doesn't have me down as an appointment. I provide the lady with phone number I called, and I called it in front of her. They did they were at this address. ( short part of the story they have a call center that acts as the store) I went over what I was told, they have no info. I ask for the regional managers name and number, I'm told I can't give you his number but his name is Donald. When I'm getting more upset she asks why I'm getting upset, I ask how am I supposed to get ahold of Donald if you won't give me a phone number or email. She finally did she would have Donald call me. I provided my phone number. This is the worst customer service as it's a oil change and a tire rotation. They should have a Manger phone number when issues come up. What is the point of having an appointment if you don't put it in your system. read more

I come here for all of my routine maintenance. The staff is great and very helpful. I would have given five stars but there was a SNAFU at one of my appointments. I was scheduled for a new set of tires and they did not order the tires I had requested according to their suggestions.
