This place is great! I got the short rib, my BG got the garlic shrimp. Overall very good experience.

Very kind staff, owner is so down to earth and kind and the food is the best I had! I got the shrimp and oh my goodness is it divine! 10/10 highly recommend. It's next to the bay and just has wonderful views. The inside is small but it's comfy and the bathrooms are super clean

After swimming and playing in the sand at Aquatic Park, we were on a search for a quick lunch before our parking ran out of time. We walked a few blocks up to Lanikai and were able to place our order at the counter right away. We ordered the chicken plate and the garlic shrimp plate. Both came with two small scoops of steamed rice and one small scoop of mac salad. The star was the garlic shrimp...salty, peppery goodness! We also had two drinks: Sunset Mango and Matcha Dragon Fruit Mango. Both came with toppings...tapioca and some sort of popping boba? In an area with overpriced options geared towards tourists, this was a great find! Good, affordable food!

Nothing beats the value of this restaurant! Lanikai recently opened in the neighborhood and the one thing I love is Hawaiian style food, so I had to try. Usually I am disappointed by a lot of "Hawaiian" style restaurants, but this place does NOT disappoint! I've already been a few times and it has become a place I go to at least once a week. In terms of price, this place is the BEST value in the neighborhood. In terms of food quality, it's top notch! For under $15, you'll leave this place looking for a bed or a cot or an empty corner at the Aquatic Park. I highly recommend the Short Rib Plate and the Loco Moco (not together). The spam masubi is excellent and Banh Mi sandwiches are also great. In terms of seating, table space can be limited, but on a nice day, grab your food to go and enjoy the views nearby!

Tried their matcha dragonfruit drink which was refreshing and very large. It's a family owned business and the people were very kind. I would come back here to try the food! Located near fisherman wharf!

Ordered BBQ Beef plate, strawberry, dragon fruit refresher, and passion fruit lemonade. Great food, great drinks at great prices. So happy to find this gem in SF that's not too well know yet.

Loco Moco (2 eggs, rice, Mac Salad)

Great food, large portions (though I could use more of the Mac salad) and very friendly staff.

Lanikai BBQ Tea House is one of the best spots for milk tea and bubble tea in Fisherman's Wharf near Hyde Street. I stopped by looking for a good boba shop and was surprised by how many fun and refreshing drink options they had. The Matcha Dragon Fruit Mango was my favorite. It tasted fresh, colorful, and looked so good in photos. It is definitely one of those Instagram-worthy drinks that actually tastes as good as it looks. They also have great popping boba options and really good fresh fruit smoothies if you want something cold and refreshing.

So pleased we tried this place. Walking distance from pier 45, and right off the north end of the Hyde St trolley. Katsu was crisp and flavorful. Spare ribs were tender and well marinated. There are lots of chain Hawaiian plate lunch in the area, but his place is tops. Newer restaurant. Stop in and help them settle in. A gem for the neighborhood.

The sandwich and the sweet heart tea are so delicious and authentic! The staff are warm and welcoming! Perfect place for lunch and quick dinner.

Lanikai BBQ & Boba House is one of the best places for milk tea and bubble tea in Fisherman's Wharf near Hyde Street. I came by looking for a good boba shop and ended up finding one of the prettiest drinks I have had in a while. The Kale Avocado Banana Smoothie was fresh, colorful, and really refreshing, and it looked amazing in photos too. This is a great place if you are in the mood for popping boba, fresh fruit smoothies, or just a fun Instagram-worthy drink in San Francisco. Definitely worth a stop if you are around Hyde Street and want something different from the usual boba spots.

DO NOT PAY FOR DELIVERY…read more We paid extra to have our order delivered to our hotel and used the restaurant's order-ahead option. We scheduled the delivery for 9:20 a.m., but by 8:40 a.m. the app showed it had already been delivered. The problem? There was no food at our hotel room. I tried contacting the delivery driver by text, but never received a response. It was incredibly frustrating, especially after leaving a generous tip. We later found out the driver had left the food at the hotel but never told the front desk which room it was for, even though they had all of the delivery information. As a result, our food just sat there until we eventually had to go down and get it ourselves. In the end, I paid for a delivery service that I never actually received. Instead of enjoying the convenience we paid for, we had to track down our own order. Based on this experience, I would not recommend paying for delivery. If you're ordering from this restaurant, save your money and pick it up yourself. I paid for a service, but I did not receive what I paid for. Then to make it worse the breakfast sandwich was just OK. Nothing to write home to mom about. To say the least we will not be ordering her again and would not recommend this restaurant.

It seems like there's also an upstairs but did not get the chance to check it out. I got an iced latte with their almond macadamia milk, and they're also so nice to do complimentary cold brew! So we got an extra drink for free. Trying the iced latte, it was pretty disappointing lol. I thought it would be similar to like a Hawaiian style latte with macadamia milk, but it was a lot lighter than I thought. It was definitely very nutty, but it also just tasted like water down latte. Honestly not much going on with the drink, but it does taste lighter in general. Crazy have to pay $1.50 more to add on this milk. Overall, its alright. I do like the natural lighting coming into the shop, but nothing too special.

Also tried the kopi ginger. The ginger adds a little kick to the coffee, but its not too bitter since there is palm sugar added to the coffee. I asked to reduce the sugar and they were able to do so. Staff is super friendly and willing to provide recommendations if you have a hard time deciding. Will be coming back to this place to try the other drinks and food options.

Located at Lombard near Van Ness, this particular spot has been around a few years and looked fully occupied by regulars with their laptops. I happened by on a weekday afternoon, and it was percolating. I was one of those lost-looking customers who entered the premises and had no idea what to order when he got to the register. The smiling server realized I was confused and pointed to the signature menu on the wall. I thought I should start basic and order the $7.25 Iced Kopi Pandan, a tantalizing mix of dark single-origin espresso, housemade pandan syrup, and almond milk over ice (Photo 8). It was delicious, maybe a tad too sweet for me as the pandan lent a pronounced vanilla-like flavor. The same flavor was more effectively applied to the $6 slice of Pandan Bread which I saw waiting for me to order on the counter (Photo 9). It was more a sponge cake and less a dense quick bread with coconut milk and egg whites keeping it fluffy. It was a tasty treat worth the indulgence.
