I'm a big fan of their smoothies, particularly the Kailua Monkey. On the plus side they try to use local produce whenever possible, as compared to Jamba Juice. Recently, I also tried their acai fusion bowl for the first time. The acai fusion bowl comes with acai, acerola, banana and natural coconut milk topped with fresh pineapple and grated coconut. The fresh pineapple was sweet and tasty. Overall, the acai bowl was palatable, but slightly watery. MEH. i've experience better. --- my thoughts exactly! beautiful presentation. sign on the outside that says "best acai bowl." clean and pretty. fun decorations (elvis statue, giant pineapple). really friendly employees. but the acai bowl? BLAH. i, too, got the acai extravaganza. $7.40. a customer favorite (as it says). double acai, banana, strawberries, apple juice, fresh berries, and grated coconut. i substituted the coconut for mango. first off, the acai had no taste. at first i thought it was because they blended it with apple juice. but then i saw the employee making it and they put a BOATLOAD of ice in it. no wonder why the acai was so bland... it was filled with ice! icy and crunchy = not good. then the berries. the berries were not fresh, i don't know why it says fresh on their menu. it was probably berries from the frozen package. and the strawberries were sour. i would have thrown my bowl away right there but luckily, the 5 year old with me was more than happy to eat it all for me. thank goodness for developing taste buds with no sense of real taste yet. :P acai bowl fail. perhaps the smoothies are better? read more

I don't really come on Yelp and leave reviews but I just got a matcha energy smoothie, it's honestly so bad. I've got it at other locations before for many times, it was not like this one. It tastes like spinach water, the consistency is nowhere near a smoothie, and the middle part was just a big ice chunk that separates from the "spinach water" so nothings comes up with I try to suck from the straw (besides the spinach water). I have never heard of an acai bowl until i moved to Hawaii. After seeing a picture of one, i became obsessed with wanting to try one. I came on a monday afternoon. The lot had plenty of parking. The line was kind of long, but it went by quick. They only had 2 employees working. 1 taking orders & 1 making the orders. Then the one taking the orders would jump in & make stuff too. They were organized, so i had to give them props. I ordered the acai colada bowl. It consisted of bananas, pineapples, acai berries, shredded coconut, granola, honey, & soy milk. It cost almost $8, but well worth it! I was expecting the acai to be sour, but it was sweet. It was very good. And everything is all organic, so its healthy for you! I like supporting local, but I just waited 25 minutes for a juice. The acai bowls are consistent and delicious. I like getting mine with extra granola because I always feel it needs more than just the standard they give you. The portions are pretty consistent. But, every once in a while they get backed up with a lot of phone order and even though there is no one in the shop, it can take a long time for your order to come out. It wouldn't be so bad if they gave you a heads up when you were ordering, and maybe their ordering system is set up in such a way that they can't tell the kitchen is backed up, but it's frustrating when you're back from a workout or you think you're going to pop in and out. read more

For years, I have loved Jamba Juice, but once the flurry of health and wellness swept the islands, a whole lot of juice bars popped up in the late 1990's and into the 2000's. While I am not bashing Jamba Juice yet, I decided to give this place a try, just case they are an upstart (in the neighborhood) and I would patronize the business just once to see how they are. Craving something refreshing, I've been stopping by here. My boyfriend got me an acai bowl from here a fews weeks ago and now it's like I have to ah e one once a week ( at least ). I don't like the location of this pace and parking can be hard but I've been very luck the past couple of times I've gone so I've gotten good parking and no lines! Yay me! Prices are kind of crazy but I will say it is yummy and healthy. My personal favorite is the colada bowl! I have been trying others but that one is my go to that will always make me happy. No fillers! This juice bar is the real deal. No ice or sorbet added ever and the Acai bowls are 100% Acai with just enough apple juice to smooth out the Sambozan organic Acai. So many other Acai bowls in Honolulu are watered down w sorbets or stretched thin with other fruits. Not Lanikai Juice! Also especially love their Organic Kailua Monkey, a chocolatey, or if you prefer vanilla, protein shake w almond milk, peanut butter and banana. Plenty of lighter fresh fruit and vegetable juices too as well as your fruitier smoothies and Pitaya and Mana Green bowls. They're also offering juice fast kits here now. You can choose from the fresh squeezed raw bottled juices in the cooler and mix and match to give your body 4-5 juices/day. For a recommended max of 3-5 day fasting period. The staff is quite young, but very mature and always accommodating. I even regularly ask for coconut oil on my Acai bowl (a treat I learned in Puerto Rico) and though it's not on their menu they always oblige. Lanikai Juice may be a dollar or two more than some of the chain smoothie places but is quality well worth the extra $. Please remember to tip these hard working kids! They deserve it. read more

I like their fresh fruit concept and their variety of acai bowls. However I feel like their bowls are lacking something, I don't know what it is but it just doesn't do it for me. It fills me up bcs they are huge but that moment where it's like "oh yea, that's good" never comes. I've tried some of their smoothies and its the same thing. I like their fresh juices because they have more fruit available than Jamba Juice; they have fresh apples, oranges, pineapples, too bad they don't have fresh pears - green apples with pears is yummy!! The thing that I don't like is that you are suppose to get 16 oz of juice and if you request ice, they don't put it in a bigger cup - like how Jamba does it, so I feel cheated because that's what, like 2 oz of ice in there? Everyone I know raves about this place. I finally got to go after playing tennis near Hawaii Kai. There's a line most time. Not like busy kind. I order a "Da Kine" Smoothie. If I remember I think it had papaya, maui pineapple, banana, and orange. It tasted more fresh compare to jamba juice. It doesn't have added sugar I think. It wasn't too sweet. I always loved their pitaya smoothies and bowl, but this time it wasn't enjoyable at all. The pitaya wasn't pink as usual. It had more of a light purple color and when I ate it, it didn't taste like anything. Mostly crushed ice, but hopefully next time they make it how they usually do and not slack. read more

I love the fact that there is finally one in town. Although it isn't that close to my house, it's ebtter than driving all the way to the windward side. I like that they use fresh ingredients. I don't like my acai bowls fancy beacause I like to eat everything that I pay for and so, its great that they give a lot of acai. I usally order mines with honey and granola and then I'm good to go. The one thing that would make it a lot better is the type of granola that they use. I don't like mines too grainy or one with a lot of seeds, Lanikai uses that kind. I mean, it;s great to see that acai bowls are pretty healthy but I don't like having too chew so much I guess. Although, if you are the type of person that likes to have all sorts of stuff in their bowl then this is the place for you. They have options like cocobut as toppings. I'm sadly disappointed in one of my fav drink spots. My kids and I give lanikai juice business every week. Well we went to visit this location on 6/4/21 around 5pm. Got our drinks as normal, but this time we all noticed that our drinks 3 in total did not taste how they normally did. I immediately called the store to commission and see if I could get them remade. Called 6 times no answer. Called corporate and left a message. Next day no response from corporate so I decided to call the store again. After a couple tries I finally got someone. Spoke to someone she said she'd need to have her supervisor call me back. Sup called within a couple of min. I explained the whole story. Long story short she said she worked the next day and we could go in to get our drinks remade. Great I was happy that's all we wanted was to get what a paid for. A few minutes later she calls me back and says she spoke with her manager and they can't remake the drinks they don't have authority. I need to call corporate to see if they can help me. Such bad customer svc. How can a supervisor/manager not have authority to give the ok to remake 3 drinks. I've never had such a hard time from a drink company to have a drink remade if it was not made correctly. I'm blown away that it's this this ridiculously hard to get what I paid for. Much kudos to Janelle and her female co-worker for staying strong and telling a customer that he needed to wear his face mask properly. Both reminded him several times and both were professional. The customer kept saying he would throw up so Janelle suggested that he wait outside and she would bring his order to him. He continued to say he would throw up a few times before leaving. There was one other customer besides myself and we both let Janelle and her co-worker know that we appreciated them speaking up for our safety and theirs. Janelle has the sweetest personality. She is a fine example of what it means to treat the customer with respect while making sure that everyone in her store (customers and employees) stays safe. When they first started construction on this store I was super excited. There are places to get smoothies/juice around Kahala (Umeke Market, Jamba Juice) but I am not a big Jamba fan and somehow I always get the watered down smoothie special at Umeke. The location, kitty corner to Kahala Mall, is pretty good and they open at 7 am, which I love because I hate trying to find a place open early enough for me to stop in before work. I understand the parking lot gets pretty crowded in the afternoon/evening time because of neighboring Assagios. I've ordered the green giant (spirulina, pineapple, banana, and coconut milk) and the mango mama mia (mango, orange, banana, yogurt, and honey). I like that the smoothies are subtly sweetened. The mango mama mia was like drinking my favorite pirie mango but with the natural sweetness cut with rich yogurt. I loved it! I kind of wish there were some options to add some leafy greens to your smoothies. I do it at home but haven't really found a place to buy green smoothies. Another thing they offer here is pick up for Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) boxes. I really like the concept and want to start ordering produce boxes. read more
