I hadn't heard of this place until my coworker suggested it for lunch. The location is a bit odd, but parking was adequate once you find it. The service was ok, the server didn't engage as much with us even though both of us had a few questions about the menu. Regardless, we both ended up ordering ideal meals for our preferences. I've tried a few Asian cuisines in Tulsa and this is my new favorite! I ordered the Thai fried rice with fried tofu. It was bomb! This places food was the closest to authentic Thai food that I've found in Tulsa. And they have so many options for everyone. Lots of vegetarian options too. Delicious thai food. We love the fact that we can specify how spicy (or not) we want it to be. Professional service, the kitchen gets the food out fairly quickly. Prices are typical for really good thai food. The only mark against them is the noisy ambiance. I think the interior of the restaurant unfortunately amplifies the conversations at other tables. One of the original Thai restaurants in Tulsa. Great: Cashew Chicken (Gai Pad Med Ma-Muang) - Absolutely delicious. Blew my mind. Panang Curry: Really good. It's a sweet red curry with extra ingredients. Try it the traditional way, with beef! Not great: Pad See-lew: This just didn't taste right. More like a Chinese dish. Salty and without the distinct Thai flavor combinations that I hope for. Coconut Soup (Tom Kha): This tastes like it came like it came out of a can. Nothing interesting here, which is sad since Tom Kha should be an amazing national dish full of caramely delicious flavors. Tom Kha is worth ordering. Get it from a different restaurant. Thai Salad - This is a really unfortunate chop salad that should be removed from the menu. Soggy peanuts don't improve the shredded carrot, caggage, and large leafs of plain iceberg lettuce which otherwise make the base. I never saw anything like this during my 1 month stay in Thailand. Finally, all the chicken was very tough and tasted like antibiotics. My recommendation is to try another Thai restaurant in Tulsa called 'Thai Taste'. It had been years (I mean years) since we had been to Lanna Thai and I think we shouldn't have made our trip to revisit on a Friday night. Although the restaurant was not packed, it was busy. I liked the curry dish I had but we had to wait almost forty minutes on our food. Our server kept stopping by to tell us it was on its way. Y'all, I think the owners or kitchen staff has changed or something. Servers are different, slow service, no water refills, they kept forgetting to grab things for different tables and ours. I ordered the Pad Thai and it's not the same anymore. Noodles are more broken and in pieces versus it being long chewy noodles. The panang curry was very salty and super sweet!! Wing appetizer was crispy and hot. But it was just salted wings fried with a side of bottled sweet chili sauce for dipping. Maybe they could use a mix of fish sauce and tamarind in the sauce for better flavor. I didn't take pictures cause I was too hungry, and thought it was the delicious regular stuff I always get. I have been going to Lanna Thai for years. For a long time I went to the Harvard location before it closed due to the I-44 widening. It has always been a favorite, and their fried rice is hands down some of the best anywhere. They do something to it that makes it sooooo good. Of course they serve lots of traditional Thai dishes and some great appetizers including really good dumplings. But I come here for one thing - the fried rice. Sometimes I get chicken, sometimes it's shrimp, like today. You can ask for a spiciness level from 0 to 5. I am a chicken so I get it mild, but I do like their hot vinegar based sauce on the side. Try it with a fried egg too - it kicks it up even another notch. Service is always friendly and effective. It's in an old brew pub so it's quite spacious. Don't mess around with the Panda - drop a few more bills and try some incredible Thai food at LT. read more

I've been eating at Lanna Thai since they opened (~20 years ago). I was vegetarian back then and loved everything I'd ordered. Now a vegan (as is the wife), the same is true. The menu has a ton of vegan options. The menu states that most things can be made vegetarian, just ask. The Lanna Spring Rolls state they can be made vegan (and were delicious), so the menu is pretty easy to work with. The staff we've encountered has always been very knowledgable and helpful when inquiring about the vegetarian/vegan nature of the menu items. With so many vegan curries, it's hard to pick a favourite. The same is true of their other menu items. We eat here quite often and always look forward to another return. read more

The restaurant is very open and spacious. The food was fine. My hubby ordered the lunch sized Pad See-Iew and said it was good. I ordered the Nuah Num Tok salad spicy level 4. It was not very spicy. Also, when my food came it only had lettuce and was missing cucumber and tomato. I asked the waitress and she said no it doesn't come with it and quickly walked off as I was saying it said so on the menu. She did not return so went up to her to show her that the menu says that it does come with tomato and cucumber. She did bring it and later brought the receipt which had a different price $12.95 for my salad than what was on the menu $11.95. Very Shady. I would highly recommend paying attention to what you order and what you get as well as the price. read more
