The staff were so nice and friendly, even though the place was absolutely slammed for the 4th. Definitely not the cheapest donuts around, but they're so light and airy and their flavor selection is such a nice change from your typical run of the mill donuts that you find everywhere else.

    Amazing!!

This small doughnut shop was an amazing find, we tried three of the doughnuts and highly recommend them all, very fresh, fluffy and unique!!!

Sweet n salty, maple, can't remember the middle row. Bottom row: Nutella and the citrus hibiscus.

The hardest part is choosing, which is why I never leave with less than 6 Lantern never disappoints! My favorite most recent specialty flavor is the citrus hibiscus, but you can never go wrong with a sweet and salty

These tasty, fresh donuts are the result of a pastry chef with 30+ years experience, made from scratch with natural ingredients and no seeds oils. Think in-season, farmers market, locally sourced ingredients. Each week they have rotating flavors but it sounds like their model is evolving as they learn the flow and it might be more of a monthly rotation in the future. Priced at $4 for their standard, and $6 for their "premium" flavors. Take my money. You can tell when intention and love is put into food, and this place does just that!

    Sweet and Salty

The most INCREDIBLE donuts I've ever had. Soft, fluffy and with the most delicious, flavorful glaze that was perfectly sweet. Really love how this is a business that sources locally, as well as using clean ingredients. The gals at the counter were so sweet and kind. Cannot recommend this business enough, I will be coming again and again

Lantern Donuts has just become my favorite donut spot (and I didn't even love donut before lol). I love the fact they have different donuts every month and they come up with the best flavor combinations. I've had the white chocolate peppermint, crème brûlée and matcha donuts...I can't wait to come back and try new ones. I'm glad we have an organic / seed oil free donut shop nearby.

Wow on this place! Their Crème Brulee donut was seriously out of this world, a must try while they have it in stock. Very special!! We door dashed it and arrived perfectly. What a great twist on a donut, a must try!! Their coffee was very good as well. Great new special donut shop in CDA!!

Ordered a tasting box and they were simply devine! My absolute favorite was the cold joe donut, such great flavor! A little pricey, but they're so good it's worth it!

Must say delicata squash was a standout and the perfect amount of rose water in the sugar on the flower power

Superb flavor and texture. Such attention to detail. Perfectly balanced flavor combinations. Excellent customer service. Warm and welcoming atmosphere even in the start up phase.

I had the pleasure of trying these delicious and exceptional donuts during CDA street fair! These are not your "regular" donuts and are completely worth a trip to Coeur d'Alene if you don't already live in north Idaho.

The quality of these donuts is unreal. The chef is a pastry chef and they make everything from scratch, fried in organic coconut oil. No seed oils or artificial color nonsense. They're doing a soft launch right now Thursday-Sat mornings with preorders. We just tried tasting box #4 (new box every week) and it was a work of art. Our new family Saturday tradition is to cut up each donut and plate them for the kids and us. Then we try them and pick our favorites. Lots "wow's" and "mmm's" all around. Try em out, you won't be disappointed!

    Amazing donut assortment!

It feels very open with a long wooden table in the center and tables on the side wall and by the window with a few couches at that end. Turmeric chai was bomb! Lightly sweet with a light turmeric ginger flavor. And best of all it was caffeine free!! So great anytime of day or for those sensitive to caffeine like me. 8oz was $6 so that is steep for the smallest size but it was good enough I'd come back for it when in the area again. They are known for there hand pies so had to try one of those! I got the mixed berry since they were out of there most popular huckNberry and it was good, pretty sweet for me in the morning so wish I had tried a savory one but had good flavor and flaky crust. I bet the chicken pot pie one is really good in that crust. My friend got a seasonal Latte with pecan I believe and liked it a lot. Coffee forward which put the spotlight on the flavor / quality of the beans which she liked a lot. Anywho I'd stop by again

Eva warmly welcomed & treated me so kindly, I immediately relaxed into my comfy spot to relax, sip and read for a while. Even though they use a premium chai, my dirty chai was too sweet for me, Eva insisted on remaking me another!! The Berry Streusel, lightly heated, made for a perfect combo. I highly recommend The Vault and Eva, grateful for you! BTW I had no cash and missed the add tip when using card. Eva's graciousness impressed me so much it allowed me to chill and enjoy!

They had a lot of unique latte options instead of just the same basic flavors you can get anywhere, and I liked that they leaned into local touches with huckleberry items. That's the kind of thing that makes it feel like you're actually getting something from the area and not just another copy-paste coffee stop. It's also in a great spot if you want to make more of an afternoon out of it. There are cute little shops around downtown, and you're close enough to wander over toward the park and the lake after grabbing coffee. It's an easy place to stop, walk around, and actually enjoy Coeur d'Alene for a bit. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you like flavored lattes and want something a little more interesting than the normal coffee chain run.
