Super authentic Laos food. I was very happy to come here and taste all the flavors that I haven't tasted in a long time. It definitely made me miss my dad's cooking. I would recommend this place to people who want to taste real Laos food. lol I love that they specialize in so many different papaya salads. I have to try them all. They charge extra for hella spicy level. They had one server and she was doing everything. The restaurant was well kept. They are able to sit big groups as well. read more

Still my favorite Lao restaurant in Vegas but if you're gonna mark your prices up, at least keep the portions the same and not make it smaller than before. If you like intestines, the Sai Tod (fried intestines) is so good. I have to get it every time, plus it comes with a really good sweet/tangy/spicy sauce. read more

Craved for papaya salad so I brought my family here.. You either get it no spicy, medium spicy or extra spicy. So I went with medium spicy. I would say I had a good spice tolerance before this BUTTTTT it was burn your booty hole spicy level. I didn't even get the spiciest and I can hardly eat any dish, my lips, ears were burning.. and my eyes were so watery. None of us can enjoy our food because it was too spicy.. the flavor is there but the spice level was ridiculously spicy. I always order the same spice level at other Thai and Lao places... but this one was extra.. so be warned! It's very spicy. The place was spacious and alot of seating. I had the Laos papaya salad, pad thai, pork belly morning glory and laarb. They're all flavorful but just too spicy for me to enjoy, if I knew I would get no spicy. read more

Saw a lot of reviews about this place and especially about it being authentic. Everything we got was pretty good and definitely authentic. Their portions are huge so be prepared to share. We got the thum kao piak, mee gatee, pho Lao, sticky rice, fried chicken wings, and thum papaya. The mee gatee was for me it was really good but omg I couldn't finish it. I really liked their thum papaya it had a good kick and umami. I didn't try the chicken wings or pho Lao but they were murked so must have been good. Only thing about the thum kao piak was I was expecting just noodles but it had a lot of fillers such as cabbage and morning glory. Long story short, come to find out the taste was so good and authentic and familiar is because the cook is from Ban Lao and she happened to bring out a dish for another table and stopped to chat with us. Lao kitchen is the real deal!! I'm Thai and it's honestly hard to find super authentic Thai spots. Lao kitchen is Lao, not Thai, but it reminded me of authentic Thai food I would have at my family's house. They actually know what spicy is. You can choose spice level and versus those other Thai spots that give you 1-10, 10 is never spicy. But THIS SPOT OMG. I felt my soul burning . I got the raw shrimp papaya salad and literally tasted like this same exact one I had in Thailand. It burned like lava and I was so happy and crying at the same time. Also got Lao sausage and it was fire!! Can't wait to go back and try more. read more

Lao restaurant quickly has become one of my favorite spots in Vegas. The cozy atmosphere and kind staff makes this establishment so welcoming you cant help but fall in love. the food is one of the most authentic and best tasting Lao foods I can get here. The papaya salad here is one of the best, perfect amount of spice and the flavor is so authentic it really feels like being in Laos all over again. This is also the only place we can ever get Thai green tea because it's not overly sweet and tastes exactly how we would get it in Thailand. We aren't from around here, but didn't have a hard time finding it at all. They are located in a small plaza, but we didn't have a problem getting parking. We were seated right away when we got in. The food here is pretty authentic. It was pretty packed when we came during lunch hours. Their papaya salad was really good. The spice level was really there so if you can't tolerate much spice, I would get a lower spice level than usual. We also tried their beef lab and soup. We got it bitter and it was the perfect amount of bitter. I loved it. Their sticky rice was also cooked perfectly. The customer service was pretty good here. We will definitely be back next time we are in Vegas. Would love to try other dishes on their menu. A lot of the dishes they have on their menu, you can't find at just any restaurant. They're dishes you would get at home so I can't wait to try some more of their dishes. read more

I don't remember the last time I had authentic Lao food. I was so happy eating here. I was able to introduce foods to my husband that he's never tried before. It was pretty hot in the restaurant, and there wasn't too many people inside so it was still pretty quiet. There was plenty of parking outside. The service was great, and they were constantly refilling our waters. Thankfully because the food could get pretty spicy. The flavor of the food was ON POINT! We ended up finishing our leftovers that night. If you're hungover from drinking I highly recommend the Kao Piak w/ crispy pork. The Nam Kao was a great choice too if you don't mind a crunchy texture with your rice. Speaking of rice- the sticky rice is enough for ONE person. So order more! 10/10 recommend this place to anyone and everyone. This place is going to be a MUST everytime we visit. read more

This was my first Laos dining experience and oh em gee this place rocks! Thankfully we came as a group of 7 and we got to order a bunch of different things and try so many items! My 2 favorites were the lettuce with the crunchy rice dish, and the papaya salad with the raw crabs. The crabs were really fresh and loved the chunky papaya slices with the fish saucy sauce it's drenched in (FYI it is very fish saucy so if you're a fan, then get this). The lettuce wrap and the fresh veggies that go in the wrap was nice with all the fresh ingredients and the spices/flavors were new to me and I enjoyed it very much. There was this chicken noodle soup dish that really hit the spot too and would be perfect for anytime you want noodle soup. We ended with the roti and mango sticky rice for dessert - both were perfect desserts to end the meal with. The service here was great and so friendly. I will definitely come back here! read more

I usually love their Nam Khao, but today, this batch was a no go. The Nam tasted spoiled and so did the pork skin. The rice tasted spoiled as well. Still love them and would go again, but leaving this review to catch their attention to maybe taste their Nam before mixing. Lao Kitchen is owned and operated by a younger chef who grew up in Laos. The food is what he ate back home. It's a fairly large space & front service is handled by his sister. It's a very casual atmosphere with some decorative light fixtures and photos of monks. Lao food is usually had in a family style. Aside from the Lao Market, There's no other restaurant in town that serves primarily Lao food. The ones that do are more Thai. With that being said, the menu is fairly large. The food here reminds me of what my family and I eat regularly. Lao food is not fancy but they do a good job with presentation. The flavors are authentic although some items are sweeter than I like. I thought all these dishes were great: Kao Piak Sen, Pork Belly Wraps, Lao papaya salad, fish in banana leaf, jerky, curry noodle soup. Flavors are great. Some have said prices are high but I think they're in line with other casual sit down spots. I'd def go back and I do recommend this spot. read more

Their food is delicious. They have lao style papaya salad, their medium is spicy as it is authentic Thai spicy so choose your spicy level carefully. Their kapoon is good, just a little bit on the sweeter side. The pho is alright, just wish they give more broth as the rice noodles soaked all of the broth up. They have two kinds of larp, the raw and cooked kind. The kaopiet is alright. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for some real authentic Thai/Lao food. read more

I was sick and craving some Tum Laos. I picked this restaurant as after all those years this's the only Laos place left I had not tried and it's on delivery apps. Unfortunately, food was really disappointed. Morning glory was still undercooked, texture was hard and tasted raw, flavor was sweet. It does come with rice, fyi. I will not comment anything about the Tum but definitely wont comeback again. Sticky rice was dry. read more

One thing lacking olive seltzers, but hey some white girls have to get adventurous sometimes. I got the yuzu lager which was amazing and had to get a couple. My wife got a gin and tonic which had some elderberry flavor in it and she had to drive so I got to finish that bad boy off. For food we always share, because most plates are huge. We got the crispy fried rice which I remembered from years ago which features almost puffy style rice with a lot of amazing aromatics like lemongrass and lime as well as sour pork sausage which I feel just tasted like a typical Chinese sausage but supreme flavorful and not a huge soy flavor. This is a must have at $15 even if just as a starter. The food options are amazing including a lot of Northern Thai options you dont see at a basic bitch Thai restaurant. We also got the Seafood PAd ped which features mussels, squid, scallops, and shrimp in a mushroom lime sauce and boy howdy it was unique and tasty. I could go on and on about the choices but if this is all you eat assuming you like a good mushroom sauce then you will be set as a couple. Big shout out to the staff for making us feel at home in Vegas as Phoenix ferners. The restaurant is super clean with a modenr esthetic and quite large to fit a lot of people. They also have an amazing wine selection that goes as deep as your wallet.

The restaurant's posted hours also indicated that it was open. However, when we arrived for our reservation, the restaurant was completely closed. We understand that unexpected closures can happen, but there was no notification, phone call, text message, or update online to let customers know. We rearranged our schedule and drove to the restaurant specifically for this reservation, only to find the doors locked. Good communication is a basic part of customer service. We hope the restaurant improves its reservation management and customer notification process to prevent others from experiencing the same frustration.

Good service here and clean place with two separate bathrooms. The Szechwan was very tasty but the twice cooked pork was the best item on our table. Lots of matchbox cars and a big fishy to watch in a huge tank. Nice the place is open late and I'll return to try more things.
